“We arrived on a busy Friday lunchtime and a queue was forming for tables. However, staff were polite and efficient, doing their best to accommodate people. We were offered a side window bench which we took and a waitress came to tell us their specials. Lucky us, we landed on a newly introduced Fish Friday and whilst we pondered our choices, a "proper" table came free and we were waved over. We placed an order of fish and chips each and also requested if we could takeaway a pulled pork panini for our son. A very reasonable reduction in price was offered for this. After a slight but expected wait for how busy it was, our food arrived and it was all freshly cooked, delicious and plentiful. The panini was brought over towards the end of us eating and stayed hot for us to take home. Will definitely be back, and hope fish Friday continues”

“This is a little gem of a cafe, do not be in a rush when you visit, the food is always cooked fresh to order and it is well worth waiting for. Superb tea and coffee and a great selection of cakes and scones. The staff are always friendly, polite and always make a fuss of our dogs. Free parking available. We are now regular visitors. “I love this place. The people are lovely. The feel of a family business, you're supporting local farmer & local produce from the shop & the quality is ridiculously good. The pies. The cakes. The fruit & veg! And dont get me started on the meat... It's been cared for in it's lifetime & if you'd like some advice on cooking your new purchases the butchers are so knowledgeable. And what's more. You can sit eating anything off of the menu or out of the cake display case & watch nature out of the picture window - sometimes there are riding lessons going on - others the horses are rolling around like big dogs in the school - it's like medicine to me this place... a real jewel in the area.”

“Excellent service and attractive room. Menu choices are limited but suitable for a light lunch. Prices are quite high and I would expect to order at the table for this cost. It's certainly different and special compared to other lunchtime restaurants in the area. Attractive building, boutique shops and garden.”
