We booked for a 1pm lunch as were told can be very busy, and they were! Very attentive and friendly staff. Top quality food, all homemade, with good serving portions. Good tea and coffee, with a generous size tea pot! The puddings are fantastic. I can recommend the cornflake tart with custart or ice cream. There is a little farm shop there and the pricing was very reasonable which resulted in us taking a few items home for another day. (A lot of farm shops I’ve visited can be very, very expensive). Carparking in a little car park at the front just off the road. It is some what limited, but road parking is possible. The facilities are modern, clean and kept in good condition. It’s a really nice place to eat looking out at the ponies in the manège. Ideal for anyone who loves ponies. Dogs are welcome at the seating outside, there are quit a few places to chose from. Some under cover. We’ll definitely return. Can recommend.
Lovely place. Well equipped Farm Shop with butchers serving up some great looking meat, a fresh veg section, bread and flour area, and hot food. Try the Scotch egg which is pretty good and slightly different. Restaurant is very nice with an outside and inside seating area which overlooks the riding school area. Breakfast was very nice albeit a little stingey with the one slice of bacon. Paid an extra £ for the Black pudding too, so for 8.95 the portion was a little one. Staff are friendly, restaurant is clean selection of food and presentation are excellent. Car parking is plentiful with a little walk to the restaurant. Have earmarked the butchers for Christmas Dinner shopping list.
1st time visit to Oakfield Farm. The car park is large and the site is wheelchair accessible. Found all staff to be friendly and helpful. They have a great selection of produce available at good prices. Will definitely return for shopping and a bite to eat. 🙃
I love this place. The people are lovely. The feel of a family business, you're supporting local farmer & local produce from the shop & the quality is ridiculously good. The pies. The cakes. The fruit & veg! And dont get me started on the meat... It's been cared for in it's lifetime & if you'd like some advice on cooking your new purchases the butchers are so knowledgeable. And what's more. You can sit eating anything off of the menu or out of the cake display case & watch nature out of the picture window - sometimes there are riding lessons going on - others the horses are rolling around like big dogs in the school - it's like medicine to me this place... a real jewel in the area.
