This was my 1st visit here to this busy coffee house located on the main road through hasland .Fairly decent day so i sat down at one of the 5 tables available outside on the terrace in front of the building,I ended up having to go inside to obtain a menu as none are actually provided on them .There's a very good choice of drinks and a great variety of breakfast ,lighter bites & lunch food options at reasonable prices.Once inside, I did notice & pass the "Wait to be Seated "sign ,obviously for sitting inside dining as i made my way to place a Cappuccino & Gingerbread latte coffee order at counter.The Staff on duty were very pleasant as I also informed them i was sitting outside( no table numbers either ),cash or card payments are accepted Surprisingly the drinks didn't take very long to arrive with excellent table service provided. The breakfasts being served at other tables looked to be very nice so I can fully understand why it's very popular with the locals. I really enjoyed the visit & and I would definitely recommend it here to family & friends. Hopefully, I'll be returning back soon to try a breakfast when I'm next passing by..

I've never really stopped in hasland before but I came across this lovely cafe friendly and welcoming staff beautiful cheese cake and white hot chocolate very tasty but the thing that I loved was the collection of quirky spoons that came with the food and drink

Such a lovely little café. I go here every now and then with my grandma, each time I'm blown away by the quality and quantity of items for the price you pay. everything is well priced and well portions, well worth the visit.

Love this place! Been lots of time as they have a significant gluten free menu. Today I had the GF smoked fish hash and it was delicious. The staff are also really friendly. Popular place so booking in advance recommended.

What a lovely gem of a place, a really traditional cafe / diner. Superb range of top quality breakfasts and lunches, with even more on the specials menu. Don't worry if you are full and don't have room for dessert, they offer desserts to take away. Perfection 👌

Rhubarb Shed hosted the amazing afternoon tea for our wedding this weekend! All the guests commented on how much they love the amount of food, and that it tasted brilliant! They were also very accommodating for varied dietary requirements that we were asking about! No one went hungry, and there was so much food to go around! Would definitely recommend the afternoon tea for big parties, and was such good value too! The staff were also incredibly helpful, and attentive.

Lovely staff and lovely food. A range of options from afternoon tea to regular brunch. Love the range of veggie options. All the food is fresh and the hot food is freshly cooked. Very good at ensuring dietary requirements are met. Hard to book due to it being busy but would always recommend it as the service and food is worth it.

We called into Stamp as it was a convenient halfway point on our journey. We enjoyed it so much we made a point of calling in on our return journey too! Sadly we’d missed out on the hot food but were lucky enough to be in time for coffee and cake. It’s a lovely place, super friendly staff and light delicious cake. Would definitely recommend. 🥰

Had a lovely breakfast at Stamp, the staff were very friendly and welcoming as well as the locals. You can tell the products are locally sourced and all of it was very tasty, the hot choc with all trimmings was also very enjoyable. If your looking to visit whilst on holiday or a visit to the village, it might be worth reserving a table so your not disappointed, can tell it probably does get busy but that’s because it’s an excellent little coffee shop. xx

What a cracking little coffee shop! Not only that, it serves as the community post office so is a great little focal point for the village. I had a bacon sandwich and the sandwich was perfectly packed with bacon, no scrimping here! Coffee was also fab and with the great service, well worth popping in!

Breakfast sandwich and coffee were really great, customer service was excellent. Really fab local cafe. They do takeaway coffees and cakes too which Is extra bonus!

Very small cafe but a really pleasant atmosphere. Had the pancakes, which were lovely and fresh and had a sweet buttermilk flavour. Coffee was a bit burnt but the fresh orange juice was delicious. Liked the bright and airy decor. Staff were very friendly.

Always friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere. Today I took my dog along for the first time and the staff came across with a fresh bowl of water and a treat for him. It was so welcoming; little things like that make such a difference! The food was great too as always.

Honestly, this place is 5 minutes from my house and it feels like home every time i step in it! Love the cosy atmosphere, friendly staff and amazing food and drinks!

Great service and excellent food/drinks. I visited Host for the first time today with my partner who had been a few times and always said how good it is. I can honestly say the establishment has a unique vibe about it, all the staff are friendly and make you so welcome. The drinks are the best coffee I’ve had in a long time and the prices are very reasonable. My partner had bacon Brie and cranberry ciabatta while I had jalapeño and four cheese, both outstanding quality. I would highly recommend to anyone going, the caramel cappuccino is well worth the money.

Came here for a coffee after a walk in the cold. Friendly service and very nice latte. (We only ordered drinks so can't comment on the food, although the cake display did look very enticing!) Loved the free treat for the dogs! And appreciate the blankets for customers that are sitting outside.

This place is an absolute gem. The food is home cooked, no bland generic ping food . The staff have time to be really polite and helpful. We meet here every other month and it's consistently amazing.

Called in for a coffee and light snack. The hallumi fries were incredible and the drinks were also very nice. Definitely recommend. Staff extremely friendly and great atmosphere...

The highlight of our anniversary trip away and we’re already planning our next visit! We came to the Devonshire on the first night of our stay away in the neighbouring town of Bolsover - it had good reviews and was only a short drive, so we took our chance. When we arrived it was very busy, so we didn’t think we’d get in. We politely asked the front of house staff whether there was room for two, to which we were told there was and we were very quickly seated. The staff were very friendly and were very attentive - especially considering we hadn’t made a reservation and was placed away from the main dining hall. We ordered from their festive menu - a Christmas dinner and a festive loaded fries - and in no time at all they were placed on our table. It, honestly, couldn’t have been longer than 20 minutes for our food to be ordered and on the table. The Christmas dinner was beautifully presented with delicious turkey, and the portion sizes were generous - the loaded fries could have fed a small army! It was the perfect meals for a long day of driving and walking. We were very full after our mains, but there’s always a second stomach for dessert! We ordered a brownie (which we got to share, begrudgingly), it was a generous slice topped with chocolate bar chunks and a honeycomb and caramel ice cream. The ice cream was perfectly scooped and was absolutely delicious with the brownie - I would highly recommend it, even to share if you were as full up as we were! We thought the food was incredible value for money and the staff were absolutely amazing, we can’t wait to come back in the new year on our next trip! Highly recommend if you’re visiting close by and need a much needed feed after a day of walking.

we were a large company, what we ordered was brought to us, but different name were announced, so there was a little confusion on the part of the staff, a lot of staff but little sense, we had to grab the staff to give tous drinks or foods, we were not very satisfied with the service. they also got confused with the payment

Absolutely fantastic. As we walked through the door, we were greeted by the lovely lady behind the bar. She made us feel welcome and at home whilst we waited for our table. Some of the waiting staff were very young on our visit, but they were all brilliant at their job. Nothing was too much and we were served with a smile. As for the food... oh my gosh! Delicious. We can't wait to visit again.

Second time coming here and I can’t say a bad word. The staff are so friendly and helpful. I asked the waitress about a sauce if it was spicy or not and she got me a small amount to try before I had it on my dish, which I thought was really lovely. She was so kind and polite throughout our whole visit. The food was absolutely delicious one of the best tear ‘n’ shares we’ve had in a long time. The loaded chips are to die for, we just had eyes bigger than our bellies and ended up having the rest to go as the portions were massive! Cant wait to come back again and hopefully be able to try the desserts! Thank you to all the staff for making it such a pleasant experience.

Don't let the size fool you, while small, this is an insanely good cafe! The seasonal coffees were heaven, especially on a cold winter day. The roast roll, wow. Best roast roll we have ever had! The kids' menu selection was fantastic as well.

We visited today as a family of 4, with our 4 legged family member also. What a little gem of a find, purely by accident after a long walk for the mam tor sunrise (cloud rise today) our breakfast plans fell through(we forgot our gas for our stove 🙈😂) I am so glad we did. I am gluten free and the choice was fabulous, very well catered for. I myself had the smoked salmon, requested poached eggs rather than scrambled on gluten free toast, with a lovely wedge of lemon. The salmon was beautiful, very good quality, my daughter wants to come again so she can have it. Eggs were cooked to liking and were lovely. My daughter had the cheese burger and said it was lovely. My other day had the winter vegetable soup with warm crusty bread and said it was beautiful. My husband really enjoyed his breakfast bap. We tried the bloody orange and fig cockle warmer and it was lovely. Staff were all very polite, and helpful and happy to answer any questions. The cafe was clean and welcoming. We will definitely be "forgetting our gas" again so we can have another lovely visit here.

Three Roots Cafe provided a bustling atmosphere when I visited around 3 pm, with the place completely packed. However, the person taking our order appeared to be in a rush and somewhat inattentive. Despite this initial impression, the food surpassed all expectations. I opted for a veg soup paired with a cheese sandwich, both of which were incredibly flavorful and satisfying. Additionally, I indulged in a chocolate brownie, which undoubtedly ranked as the best I've ever had in my lifetime. The cafe boasts a wide variety of delightful desserts, although I wish there were more vegetarian/vegan options available for the main course. The interior decor is charmingly simple, a bit congested but lively - contributing to a pleasant dining experience overall.

Stopped in to Castleton on our way back from Mam Tor, and found this lovely little spot for lunch. Great menu, very friendly and polite staff and just the perfect place to grab a quick bite to eat and a much needed refuel! Coffees were hot (none of this lukewarm, pretty foam art nonsense thankfully!) and very good beans, baguettes were huge and stuffed with filling, and the hand cut, home made chips were exceptional! Definitely give this place a try if you're heading through or staying in Castleton

Lovely place to take your dog for a walk and either have a coffee in the farm shop or visit the restaurant. Peaceful country surroundings. Improvement could be made of the bought in pasties ( too dry). And pumpkin season - although lovely, way over the top pricing compared to supermarkets or markets.

Lovely farm shop, tea rooms, glamping pods, and the Annex air BnB, which was a fabulous place to stay!

Had a great light lunch here, tasty tea cakes and the ruby hot chocolate was utterly divine. The staff were all lovely and friendly, especially with my young daughter. We had some cakes to take away and they were absolutely delicious- highly recommended! Will definitely visit again when I'm in the area.

A nice little farm shop with a cafe! The fish and chips were lovely and the tomato and basil soup was very refreshing. The cakes and hot chocolates are of good quality. The only negatives would be the lack of staff/ wait times. Other than that I’d definitely come again.

Absolutely lovely little cafe, staff very friendly and the food was excellent. We came as a group of six and couldn't believe how quickly we got our food. The prices are very reasonable. We enjoyed it that much two of us even came for breakfast 2 days later!! Highly recommend :)

This is the second time I've been here for breakfast. Fantastic friendly service and delicious food. I had the large cooked breakfast with additional black pudding.

What a lovely place! I've been a few times over the last couple of weeks, and the service, the food, the smiles, everything here is lovely! Whether i order a teacake or one of the lovely Quiche meals, the service is top-notch! By adding a bit of fruit to the side salad (slices of grape, strawberry, pineapple and olive) the basic salad is transformed! As for the Fruit Crumbles with ice cream for dessert, 10 out of 10 for 10!

What an absolute little gem! We were staying in the Peak District and wanted to find a place for breakfast on our way home so stopped in Chesterfield. Absolutely gorgeous cafe/restaurant! Wonderful vibe. Staff were so friendly and welcoming. Great choice on the menu. The pancakes were divine! High quality food. Got busy quickly so clearly it's a great place to eat. The cake selection was hard to resist! Highly recommend
