I went to The Butty Box looking for a late breakfast, and even though I arrived super late with only 5 minutes to spare, the owner was incredibly welcoming and happy to serve me. The food was great quality, and the prices were very reasonable. I’ll definitely be back and would recommend it to anyone looking for a tasty, affordable meal! 💕

Sampled the new sausage and mash special for lunch, thoroughly enjoyed every bite and filled up to the brim. Quality produce as always. I will be having it again for sure. 😋

Just enjoyed a fabulous giant baguette filled breakfast here. 😋 The food and drinks were served lovely and hot! There's not many snack vans with a small marquee to sit in out of the rain, so this deserves 5 stars! This place is a stone throw from Cricketts Inn pub on the A444, and definitely worth a visit, as the chaps that run it are very friendly! 👍 See you again soon! Nigel and Claire 😊

Fantastic place. I use this place reasonably regularly. The food is amazing. These days when everything is small tasteless and very little choice, they somehow pull off the impossible. These local places need support.

Very nice people nice breakfast includes Branston beans tomatoes are ciro beans but very tasty lurpack butter on toast eggs ok black pudding ok sausage normal catering sausage but tastes nice and meaty. Includes nice cup of Yorkshire tea .all of the above very nice .

A gorgeous little tea room, all the cakes are Gluten Free and so tasty, moist & huge portions The staff are friendly and helpful You must try it, too good to miss

Bluebells hosted my baby shower, I already knew the place was amazing as we’ve been several times. The food is gorgeous, the staff are super friendly and the owners (I’m so sorry I don’t know your names) are clearly so passionate about what they do. They went above and beyond and by far exceeded expectations, everyone said how incredible the food was, especially the person who has a gluten allergy, she sometimes feels she misses out by not being able to eat gluten but said she was thoroughly spoilt here with the quality of taste of the food. Having the tearooms to ourselves was so special and meant we weren’t worried about disturbing anybody. They provided lots of lovely decorations and helped make it so special. Also been here lots of breakfast/lunch and one of the events that they do and I couldn’t recommend it enough.

Had a go at the challenge today not ashamed to say I was defeated!!! but the food was delicious definitely going back again. The lovely that severed and cooked for us were really nice chatting to us encouraging us to finish the breakfast too. Outstanding service definitely go and try the menu 😊😊

The site is quite large and well laid out. The staff are friendly and welcoming. There is an onsite shop for essentials both food and camping. There are plenty of walks direct from camp and a small dog run on site. There are also bike trails to follow and an activities centre with cafe 1/4 mile from the site. All in all a good site for a quick winter break. I should imagine it's busy in the summer.

Lovely small site with great shower block and wash up facilities. Spacious hard standing pitches. Little shop with sweets etc in reception. Gated for security Small park area for kids but nothing much around. However, right next door to Conkers! Atmosphere was not as relaxed for families, more laid back for adults.

As a camping site rooms are what you take with you, tent, motorhome, campervan etc. Did not see any camping pods for rental. Area is former mining area and railway tracks for walks. With short section of Ashby Canal, not connected to canal network for path into Moira a former mining village reinventing itself as a tourist destination. Tracks are fairly easy to follow for walkers and cyclists, but should not cause issues for mobility scooters. Site is well maintained with good size pitches, hard standing and grass, which may be restricted after prolonged wet periods. Full services for water, chemical toilet disposal and electric hook ups available. Site toilets and shower available and well maintained.

Nice site, toilets, and shower facilities are very clean and well kept, as you would expect from a caravan and camping club site. The pitches are grass and hard standing. Electricity on each pitch. For motorhomes, the pitches are not so good if you like grey waste and water on your pitch. You do get planes over head from East Midlands airport. It's great for dog walking and ideally situated for visiting the surrounding area and beauty spots.

Hired as part of my friend’s 18th and the atmosphere was fab. Seems the perfect place for lunch, homemade cakes are lovely too, will be coming back soon!!

We weren't too sure where to have a bite to eat, as it was the first time we'd visited Swadlincote. After looking around the shops, we happened to find Sweet Caroline's, as they had gluten free options available. It didn't take us long to be seated and the menu had quite a few options. The staff were very friendly and took out order swiftly. The wait wasn't too long and we were very impressed! I particularly enjoyed the panini and crisps I had, although I can't quite remember what it was (has brie in it!) Whatever it was, it was superb and hit the spot nicely! Was great alongside my ruby hot chocolate, which I'd never had until then but will definitely be having it again! Stop by this place, if ever you're feeling peckish in Swad!

Went for lunch. The cafe was busy but managed to get a table for 3 of us. Lovely views infront of the glass floor to ceiling windows of the surrounding area. Prices are quite high, however this outweighed by the quality and selection of the food. I had quiche of the day which came with a plate full off salad and pasta with a door wedge size of quiche. Well worth the money! Good selection of drinks available with a promot service. The selection of cakes are definitely tempting as well. Will definitely pay another visit l.

It was a very nice place to visit , dog friendly. Food as you can see by pictures, food was a real treat, service very good. I have to add the cakes to die for. Great outdoor seating area plus nice cosy inside restaurant area. Would recommend a visit, pricing reasonable. Cowshed as you can see, we very much enjoyed our visit with the family. Wonderful brunch at the Cowshed. Beautiful rooms in the countryside. Delicious food and the cakes look great. Very busy, but they seem to be coping without too much delay. Update: Service was much faster on our last 2 visits, they seem to have improved a lot.

amazing service was greeted with a smile the hot chocolate was gorgeous and i liked my chicken and mushroom garlic sauce when i asked for gravy they got me some oh tho they didn’t get me enough but that was all sorted when i asked for more (highly recommend booking in advance)

Visited on a Saturday morning (9.45ish) at the end of October. Was surprised to see quite a few people already there, as other places are usually a little quieter at this time! Having eaten, I can fully understand why it is popular - we have found our new favourite local place for a cooked breakfast! 2 of us dined, and we opted for the Scottish breakfast and the Irish breakfast, as we've never the chance to try these ever before. We cut bits up to share, so we both got to try the Scottish bits and the Irish bits, and my goodness they were good! The Lorne sausage (Scottish) was quite dense, like a really good quality burger, the Irish sausage were delicious, the white pudding (Scottish) was creamy and peppery, the black pudding (Irish) was divine - crumbly textured, and a great flavour (supermarket black pudding has been ruined forever now!), the tattie scone (Scottish) and homemade potato cake (Irish) were amazing (and whilst in theory the same thing, had different textures and a slight difference in taste) Everything else on the plate was also high quality - lovely eggs, the thickest bacon I have ever seen, great tomatoes and really nice baked beans. Beans and chopped tomatoes served in ramekins (perfect for those who don't like the juices touching). There were mushrooms on the Irish breakfast, but I would have liked more as I love mushrooms. No mushrooms on the Scottish breakfast, which were missed. The Scottish breakfast came with some thick sliced white toast, and the Irish breakfast came with thick sliced soda bread. While the soda bread had a really nice flavour, it was a little bit dense for my tastes (first time having it, so not used to it!) The meals were £13 each, which included a hot drink. We ordered a tea and a coffee. The coffee (americano) was served in a nice sized mug. The tea was served in a pot, which didn't dribble, and I had a cup and saucer to drink it from. Plenty of milk in the jug that accompanied the drinks. The menu explains that breakfasts are cooked to order, so to allow about 20 minutes between ordering and being served. This gave us enough time to drink our drinks, and people watch. Some orders that came out looked very impressive, including the doorstop breakfast sandwiches, which were enormous! While we there, a customer in a wheel chair arrived - there was a little issue in getting the wheelchair through, but another table tucked their chairs in and the customer was able to get through. Plenty of staff serving, taking orders and cleaning up. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!!

Needed a catch up with a friend and this was the place we picked for breakfast! It's inside toons but not hard to find just enter and head left, you'll work out the rest. Ample parking outside! Easy wheelchair access also. Staff were helpful but you have to go back to the counter for everything. It got a little busy later and having to wait in the cue for another coffee and tea was a little poopy. Food was pretty good but more than I usually pay, yet I'm out of area so not sure what the prices are like around here. Toilets are nearby and kept clean. All in all I'd pop by again if I was in the area. Enjoy.

Took my dad in his wheelchair for something to eat. Plenty of space available to negotiate other tables and once moved a chair out of the way. I was able to push him right up to the table so this made things much easier for him. As the food is all cooked fresh there was an expected delay between ordering and eating, which was no longer than expected and it's well worth the wait. The food was lovely and very filling
