Fantastic place. I use this place reasonably regularly. The food is amazing. These days when everything is small tasteless and very little choice, they somehow pull off the impossible. These local places need support.

Fantastic food which we felt was well prepared and presented and good value. Pleasant staff who are chatty and helpful. Would recommend. Having walked round Swadlincote town centre for the first time in 15 years, this is possibly the nicest place to visit for a spot of lunch in the centre of Swad.

Lovely place for afternoon tea. They are polite and helpful. Food lovely and yummy cakes. Update 2025 Unfortunately food isn’t as yummy as it once was and the atmosphere isn’t the same either, can’t put my finger on why. Staff still poile and looks clean.

Bluebells hosted my baby shower, I already knew the place was amazing as we’ve been several times. The food is gorgeous, the staff are super friendly and the owners (I’m so sorry I don’t know your names) are clearly so passionate about what they do. They went above and beyond and by far exceeded expectations, everyone said how incredible the food was, especially the person who has a gluten allergy, she sometimes feels she misses out by not being able to eat gluten but said she was thoroughly spoilt here with the quality of taste of the food. Having the tearooms to ourselves was so special and meant we weren’t worried about disturbing anybody. They provided lots of lovely decorations and helped make it so special. Also been here lots of breakfast/lunch and one of the events that they do and I couldn’t recommend it enough.

Went for afternoon tea for my partners birthday! What an experience. The lovely people running the tea room were so kind and accommodating. There were a lot of us and they were so good at making sure each of us had everything we needed. The afternoon tea was so delicious! There was so much food and they let us take it home too! I will be eating cake for tea for a week lol!! Definitely 5 stars and can’t recommend it enough! Will certainly be coming back for their delicious looking breakfast next time!

Hired as part of my friend’s 18th and the atmosphere was fab. Seems the perfect place for lunch, homemade cakes are lovely too, will be coming back soon!!

Caroline and her team assisted with hosting my sister's baby shower and afternoon tea. It was a fabulous afternoon, hired privately, the food was fantastic and a lovely venue in the heart of Swadlincote. Caroline was helpful before and during the event and was very efficient in her communications. I would highly recommend.

Needed a catch up with a friend and this was the place we picked for breakfast! It's inside toons but not hard to find just enter and head left, you'll work out the rest. Ample parking outside! Easy wheelchair access also. Staff were helpful but you have to go back to the counter for everything. It got a little busy later and having to wait in the cue for another coffee and tea was a little poopy. Food was pretty good but more than I usually pay, yet I'm out of area so not sure what the prices are like around here. Toilets are nearby and kept clean. All in all I'd pop by again if I was in the area. Enjoy.

"Perfect in every way" I collected an order placed at Toons furniture store this morning and decided to try out the cafe. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted and seated very politely. From the couple who I presume run the café to the waitress staff, everyone was exceptionally lovely. The breakfast was piping hot and Perfectly served to my table with accompanying hot Latte. The cafe is very clean with nice table decorations which make the experience even more enjoyable. I spoke with the lady afterwards and congratulated her for the way I had been looked after. I will definitely be returning and recommending this little gem of a place. Simply superb 5 stars from me. Best Wishes and congratulations to you all.

Took my dad in his wheelchair for something to eat. Plenty of space available to negotiate other tables and once moved a chair out of the way. I was able to push him right up to the table so this made things much easier for him. As the food is all cooked fresh there was an expected delay between ordering and eating, which was no longer than expected and it's well worth the wait. The food was lovely and very filling

Right next to the bike park and come here all the time for a cool down. Amazing place. Music always the best, atmosphere is the unbelivabl.And the service? Don't know where to start

Went to meet a friend for a night out in Church Gresley and found this place by Google mapping and street view beforehand, so glad I did! What a cracking night. This pub is ace! Awesome bar staff, and atmosphere, great music, cracking beers on offer and a dartboard to throw arrows at and miss (mostly). Will definitely go back! Thank you 'Rising Sun' for an unforgettable night!

Early Sunday morning passing through the area and it’s just classic British perfection. Amazing food, coffee and low prices. Lovely bunch of staff too. Bunch of mod riders were passing through too, clearly a well loved place.

Yates done the buffet for my mums celebration of life. The food was worth every penny and plenty of. Everyone commented on how fresh the sandwiches were. And all food was eaten. Would highly recommend

It’s not until you have a problem that you really find out how good a company’s service is. We’ve used Toons for all our flooring for 30 years. Our first experience of a problem recently was met with a response that was prompt, courteous and everything that we hoped for. Can’t praise them enough!

"Lovely Furniture Store" I placed an order last Sunday for a pair of bar chairs / Stools. The lady checked the stock levels on the system for me and said it may be several weeks for delivery to Store. I was fine with that I'm in no rush. I received an email yesterday, contacted the Store to make sure they were in before I travelled, and sure enough they were. I collected them this morning, very polite, front of house staff and the lads in the warehouse are superb, taking every effort to load them correctly into my vehicle. I find the store just brilliant, not pushy at all, browse at your leisure and ask for help when you need it. I find this balance perfect to try things out for comfort before you buy. Thankyou Toons I will return in the future for more quality furnishings. 5 star from me. Best Wishes to you all.

A great experience today. Jenny Merchant, the member of staff who looked after us, was super helpful, very friendly, and provided excellent customer service. Would 100% recommend.

The food was lovely. Had loaded fries, nuggets and chips, and a waffle. Good quality toppings and correct amounts of each. Portion sizes seem appropriate, with a medium being just right for each of us. Friendly staff, who apologised profusely for a longer wait than usual, but they were clearly very busy. Only constructive criticisms would be that, while the chips were well cooked, they could do with slightly better quality chips. Also, the waffle tasted lovely but was slightly on the thick side. Having said that, the ice cream would probably have offset that if we'd remembered to put it on. A children's menu would also be a welcome addition to the next menu update. Overall, very good and would recommend.
