I popped in today just to check it out and ended up really loving the place. Flavia has such a relaxed, welcoming vibe and the staff were honestly lovely. They were super friendly without being over the top and you can tell they actually enjoy what they’re doing. The vegan options were a real highlight. There’s a proper range of plant based treats and a good choice of non dairy milks that actually go well with the coffee. It didn’t feel like an afterthought at all. I had an oat milk flat white and it was perfect. Smooth, rich and full of flavour. You can tell they take pride in their coffee.☕️ If you’re looking for a new spot with great coffee, friendly service and some solid vegan options, Flavia is definitely worth a visit.

WOW! Genuinely the best coffee in Derby — hands down. From the first sip, it instantly transported me back to the unforgettable coffee I had in Milan. Smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced, it’s rare to find a brew this exceptional outside of Italy. A true gem for any coffee lover.

We visited the 200 Degrees Coffee Shop tonight, the 29th of September . Really nice coffee shop. The staff are very friendly and more than helpful. There is a good atmosphere even though it was quite late. I now have a new coffee, and that is a Spanish latte. It was fabulous, one of the best coffees I have had in a long time.

Pleasantly surprised. Tasty flat white. They’ve done a good job creating an atmosphere that’s nice to be in within a largish shopping centre. They’ve got some games which kept me and my young daughter occupied for a bit while we enjoyed our drinks. Not exactly cheap - flat white are 3.65 and babycino 80p.

Visited today 3rd May 2025, service was very friendly and quick, coffee was delicious (B & G cortado) and the food was really nice. Store front is very clean well decorated and has a nice ambience. Was given some help when I was seen perusing the freshly roasted beans and a lovely chap made sure I left with what I wanted i got home and dialed in the beans almost instantly and it's a lovely cup. Overall a lovely experience and I'll definitely be back!

Very friendly welcome, ordered matcha latte but they had ran out -(these things happen). But the barista quickly sorted it out and even gave me a free drinks voucher, wish I took the two staff members names. The ambience was perfect too 👌

Brilliant service, I live closer to the Oakwood branch but use the Nottingham road store cause the staff are so lovely, they go the extra mile. If you want a certain sandwich making that’s unavailable they’ll do their best to make it for you fresh! Can’t beat these guys

We were really happy with the professional service provided by Matt. The coffee tasted great and there were lots of delicious cakes to choose from. I would highly recommend Matt if you need to book a coffee cart for your event.

Went when they were at Burton market place, great coffee, cakes were delicious and a wide variety of soft drinks also the person running the van was very helpful answering a question I had about a local shops location would 100% recommend

A nice cafe/restaurant offering some very tasty food all day. One of the best sausage and fried egg sandwiches I've had in a long time. A nice quirky atmosphere. Like eating in a library or second hand book shop. The only downside was the chairs at tables were a bit hard and basic and it was a bit chilly. Minor stuff really.

Really great cafe for gluten free options. I’m not 100% sure where the name came from as there really wasn’t many books? But overall the atmosphere was quirky and cosy. I ordered the bhaji sandwich on the online ordering option. There was no option to make it gluten free apart from the notes section but the waitress was happy to swap it and it came out with a GF bun, the food itself was really tasty

I think this place has become a favourite of mine, without a doubt! Never even realised it was here until earlier on today. After finishing in town, I fancied somewhere to sit and people watch for a bit, while enjoying a drink and maybe a sweet treat too. I looked at a couple of cafes close by, but The Bookcafé stood out the most to me. Well I'm glad I chose this place, because it's awesome and super quirky! A shame I didn't bring my journal with me, as it's a great place to either catch up on some writing or get stuck into a good book for a while. There were plenty of seats to choose from, so I ended up going by the window, so I could people-watch and simply enjoy the world going by. The staff were lovely, being greeted with a smile by one of the young ladies who worked there. There's a choice, to either order at the counter or from the table which is handy. It was simple to use, and you could pay through Google/Apple pay or even PayPal. The young lady I mentioned, kindly came over to inform me that they hadn't got any of the ginger cake. However, they did have a selection of other great-sounding cakes and treats. So after refreshing my memory and having a look at what they had, I went for the coffee marble cake (deliciously moist, with a subtle coffee taste... Not too overpowering!) 👌🏻I also ordered a large cappuccino and they didn't take long at all to arrive. Another lady who brought them over, was super friendly and pleasant, which just enhanced the overall experience so hats off to the staff, for being fabulous! It was nice to sit and relax, listen to the music playing and watch the world go by. Such a great place, if you're looking for somewhere to unwind for a while from the hectic world. 10/10!!

Amazing time at the Book Cafe! A shout out to Tilly she was very polite and helpful and very efficient.

I meet regularly at the potting shed with friends and family and I would just like to say how good this place is. The 'Gardeners' breakfast is second to none, with excellent produce, which is top quality and cooked to perfection. The staff are great and the atmosphere is always good.The cakes and drinks are also not to be missed.

Lovely little cafe for a coffee and ciabatta. Service was quick. Nice to sit out in a relaxing environment and do some garden shopping! Highly recommend.

A Lovely Hidden Gem – The Potting Shed Café, Derby I had a wonderful experience at The Potting Shed Café in Derby and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. The location is charming, with beautiful views and a relaxing atmosphere that makes it perfect for a quiet bite or a catch-up with friends. Parking is conveniently available right outside the café, which made our visit even more hassle-free. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, all smiles and happy to help. Their warm service added to the overall comfort and pleasantness of the visit. We ordered a portion of chips, and I was pleasantly surprised — they were quite different from the usual style but absolutely delicious and full of flavour. I also had a cheese toastie based on the staff’s recommendation, and I’m glad I did. It came with a fresh side salad and a very tasty coleslaw. The only small downside was that I had asked for the cheese to be melted, but unfortunately, they couldn’t do that — my only suggestion for improvement. We also had drinks, and my flat white was exactly what I needed — smooth, rich, and well-made. We visited on a Saturday and stayed a bit longer than expected, forgetting they close at 3:30 PM. Despite that, the staff were incredibly kind and didn’t rush us out, allowing us to enjoy our chat peacefully. All in all, this café is a lovely spot with great food, friendly service, and a beautiful setting. I’ll definitely return if I’m ever in Derby again.

Have been here many times over the years. It's one of my favourite places from the food, to the decor. Food is always fresh and they have good menu pieces. Prices are slightly higher than other cafes, but the food has always been of a very good quality. It can get quite busy at times, so if your in a larger party of people planning to visit, might be worth seeing if you can book a table.

We ordered a vegetarian afternoon tea at the Alstree cafe to collect today. Every single part was absolutely delicious. Whatever pickle/onion marmalade they use for the cheese and pickle is particularly good! Really chuffed with it and so nice to munch away in the comfort of our own home. It was very filling too! Would recommend!

Our first time visiting the little shed and we can not wait to come back fantastic food and drink. Excellent service so friendly and welcoming. 100% recommend, we are looking forward to trying the breakfast menu next time. 😁

Very friendly peeps providing lovely food. I had the chicken curry today and my daughter had the burger. Both delicious. Service was good and with a smile. Happy to help get wheelchairs in and out, they are working with a tight space but have it laid out fairly and its clean, tidy and simple. I know they plan on getting seating for outside too and they have put out water for doggies. There is a serving hatch for takeaway items so even if you cant get in you can still get a good meal. Worth a visit even just for a coffee.

I love this place! Delicious food, great coffee, lovely decor. The owners are incredibly kind and hard-working, they make people feel so welcome. They are also incredibly well informed about dietary needs and cross contamination. It can sometimes be busy, especially on a weekend when the footie is on, but honestly I think that just goes to show how good the grub is. Toilets are next door, there is an accessible toilet available (with radar key access). Also super dog friendly, which is great for pooch-watching!

The rebirth this cafe and the park have been crying out for for years. It's so nice to have it run by people who know what they're doing and it's already a big part of the community and an asset to it. The food and drink are great and so are the prices. The vibe is friendly and welcoming, it's always busy, and a treat to visit for anyone.

Delicious! Andy and Dawn are lovely, and the food even more so. What a gem of a place overlooking the park. I had the bangers and mustard mash with onion gravy. OMG! Amazing.
