Lovely afternoon tea for four people. We were served what I think may have been the largest scones ever, which were amazing. Good service, reasonably priced.

Rivers meet has varied menu including gluten free options, using local produce. My kids love it because they have free wifi and they can enjoy their tablet time along with their favourite rocky road cake and when accustomed to environment they would start chatting to other cafe visitors- my kids (9 and 11) always ask to go there. Friendly staff and other customers,really busy during lunch time. I love the vintage mix and match plates,tea pots and cups, the decor, the little craft shop and the event posters of craft clubs/meet ups.

What an absolute delight of a place. We sat outside around the back & had pulled pork sandwiches. Utterly delicious on a proper scuffler. Adorable mix & match vintage style crockery which I thought was adorable! Really lovely staff as well. I can't wait to go back and sample the rest of the menu. It's so close to where I live I can't believe I have never been before! See you soon!

First time visiting as usually here the Q can go right around the side of the tea room. We only had to wait fifteen minutes to get in. When we got in we were waited on by very friendly and attentive staff. My mum has mobility issues and they were very attentive toward her and we were sat near the windows on the ground floor. We both had a fat rascal and a pot of tea, and it filled us up. Very reasonable prices if you’re on budget as well. A quaint thing to add to any trip to York. Highly recommend.

A Truly Fabulous Experience! I booked afternoon tea for my mum’s 70th birthday, and we were greeted with a warm welcome as soon as we arrived. We were seated downstairs to accommodate my elderly father, which was very thoughtful. The ability to customize the menu to our preferences was a lovely surprise, and the food was both beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. As an extra touch, my mum received a mini fondant with a candle, and we were each given a small chocolate box to take home. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish, and I hope to return again in the future. Thank you for making this special day even more memorable!

Me and my wife booked afternoon tea. Experience was amazing from being welcomed at reception till we paid bill and left. Staff is really professional and polite. Live piano player add a rich feel to whole experience. They gave us chocolate coins as our post wedding anniversary gift which was very cute. Recommended.

We had our wedding back in July and it was literally the best day ever !! Our guests were all taken back at how stunning the place was made to look and commented all day about it being the best wedding they had been to. Our journey started from the Thursday before where Debbie was there on hand to greet us dropping off the first van load of wedding stuff , telling me to set stuff aside where I wanted it and she would get it all sorted but being the control freak I am, it wasn’t going to happen haha , Friday was day 2 van load and setting up .. the staff were there on hand to help , Debbie buzzing about still wanting to take the pressure off me but again me being me and wanting to do stuff .. I left the venue knowing I was in good hands with them !! Wedding Day !! Everything went perfectly Staff were amazing and so friendly with guests nothing was too much !! Debbie made sure our day went smooth and everyone commented how great she was …. Guests loved the cocktail hour and my now husband had special treatment ( they plumbed his favourite John Smiths into the yurt ) Food was 5* at the wedding breakfast and the pizzas at night i was told we’re fab but I was too busy dancing to eat … I did manage some left over wedding cake the next day though … all in all the best day ever , and I recommend it to everyone looking for a venue the breakfast the next day is great for your hangover ! The most perfect venue ever! We had our wedding at the peppered pig in February and it was nothing short of absolute perfection! Debbie is such an amazing lady who is kind, personable and professional. She made our experience stress free and enjoyable from day 1! Davina and the other girls who worked our wedding were all amazing, they couldn’t have done more for us or our guests and for this we are truely grateful. The food was 10/10, we had so many compliments from our guests about the quality of the food and many of our guests have returned to the pig since to experience the food again. I knew from the moment we viewed this venue this was going to be where we had our wedding. Debbie and the staff made it so myself and Lewis could enjoy every single second knowing that everything was sorted and going to run smoothly from start to finish. Could not recommend the peppered pig enough it’s an absolutely stunning venue with fantastic staff. Thank you again ☺️

I really enjoyed my meal and the atmosphere in the restaurant, we were a party of five, and as soon as we arrived we were treated very professionally, the table was perfect and comfortable. Although a little close to another dinners,The staff were very officiant. Good choice on the menu. I had A starter of duck liver pate, but didn't feel it had much flavour 5/10. My main was a very tasty Pork dish, with a great tasting black pudding. There was too much red cabbage but the cauliflower cheese was very nice. A good selection of drinks. Other members were disappointed with the Yorkshire Pudding which was very dry and burned. The gravy was already on the plate and would have been better in a gravy boat. I finished with the best even Sticky toffee pudding 9 /10. The price was very reasonable l had a really good experience, thank you will recommend.

If I had a criticism it was that there was too much salt in the gravy, but that's it, this place is stunning, the staff bloody fantastic and the food absolutely top notch. We came for boxing day and it was worth every penny. We'll be back.

It really is as good as it gets. Extremely well appointed and stylish rooms, Award winning restaurant with cosy bar and comfortable lounges. The staff bring the whole wonderful experience to life. I would love to keep it a secret but we all should experience the Shibden Mill Inn at least once, we hope to make a habit of it. It's worth travelling the length of the country just to enjoy it. We've visited before for dinner, but had our first overnight stay here this weekend. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars! Food was incredible as always. Special shout out to Emma for the best full English we've ever had! Rooms were immaculate and little touches made us feel incredibly welcome, while also feeling in luxury! Lily also made us feel so well taken care of during our breakfast, what a perfect start to our Sunday! Thank you all for the best stay!

The drinks are very expensive. The food was absolutely amazing & definitely worth it with 40% off. We had the £90 per head set menu & in all honesty there was too much food. Our dessert was changed as they’d run out of sticky toffee which is a bit disappointing given we dined at 5pm. Also we were given the same cutlery for each wave, which personally I’d have preferred new. Our waiter was great, explaining everything & was really knowledgable & friendly. Would definitely return while they have offers on or for a special occasion but probably not affordable for a general visit

My wife and I had the most wonderful experience at Tattu, between waiting for trains. We were served by Amber, who was attentive, diligent, warm and courteous. Any establishment is lucky to have her. She recommended the perfect amount of dishes and pairings for us both and guided us through the menu. As halal diners, the menu provides plenty of appropriate options - a stand out dish has to be the mushroom spring rolls. A must go for Leeds foodies.

Visited for the first time last Saturday. The decor inside is amazing, really beautiful place. We had booked a table online, however we had to wait 30 minutes to be seated. I understand waiting 5-10 minutes, but 30 minutes was longer than expected. However on the plus side, we did manage to get a drink from the bar, which was really good. Bar staff have an excellent knowledge of drinks. We settled for the signature set menu. It was absolutely incredible, the tastes and flavours were superb. We were left to enjoy the food and felt that we were given enough time to enjoy the experience. I had ask the staff a couple times for a fork to use, however this never arrived but with it being a busy Saturday I understand things get forgotten. My partner and I really enjoyed the experience, we will definitely be visiting again in the future.

Always loved this place. I know hospitality isn’t easy. Just a point, the prawn cocktail which is usually awesome, was slightly cheated last time. Piece of lemon buried out of slight, packing out the surface look, and the prawns supplemented with tiny cray. Still a smashing venue either for weddings, or intimate dining.

Our wedding day at Wentbridge House was absolutely perfect! The venue itself was stunning both inside and out, creating a beautiful backdrop for our special day. The staff were incredibly helpful and attentive, ensuring that everything went smoothly from start to finish. The food was truly outstanding; our guests are still raving about how wonderful it was! A special thank you goes to Chloe for her meticulous arrangements leading up to the big day, and to Karen, who made our wedding day so personal and memorable. Her attention to detail and genuine care helped create an unforgettable experience for us both. All the staff were brilliant, proactive in everything, and incredibly supportive. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate our love! The Sunday lunch here is exceptional—one of the best I've had! While it's on the pricier side, the quality makes it worth it. The restaurant itself is beautifully renovated after the recent refurbishment. However, the experience with the reception staff was disappointing. When I called to book a table for five, I was told it wasn’t possible, and the person on the phone was quite unhelpful. Given that the restaurant was nearly empty, I didn't understand the issue, so I ended up booking two separate tables and had them combined when we arrived, which wasn’t a problem. Other than that, the overall experience was fantastic!

Stopped in here on a sunny Saturday and the atmosphere was nice and chill with the full length window open. Staff are super friendly and really helpful. We ordered the samosas but as we got there close to closing, we were told the last ones left were not perfect and offered us them smashed and mixed with the sauces and veg as a chaat, it was amazing! The eggs and salmon tasted super fresh and the daal was delicious. Loved the fact that on the menu needs I told you about all the ingredients came from. And of course we could not leave out the amazing chocolate flapjack 🤤🤤 and great drinks. Will certainly be returning and recommending.

What a great place to eat! It’s warm, it’s cosy and the food is amazing! Our lunch of sandwiches was very tasty and the portions very generous. Good gf and vegetarian options on the very comprehensive menu. Close by there was a large party of people of all ages having the most sumptuous of meals with so many different cakes, pastries and sandwiches-a veritable feast! A nice touch was the arrival of my pot of tea together with an egg timer set to run out as the perfect brew point was reached. Lots of seating options including settees. I as Leo liked the idea of being able to order and pick up groceries. This is definitely somewhere that I will visit again; highly recommended!

What a gem of a place. We’ve been visiting Tharavadu for a number of years now. It’s been a while since our last visit due to circumstance but we managed to get there on Saturday afternoon with some friends for a long overdue catch up. My word, we were NOT disappointed! The menu since COVID has been reduced but that is certainly not a bad thing. I feel the team have concentrated on their core dishes and have made the menu so ‘understandable’. Better descriptions of food therefore making it easier to select the right dish and accompaniment . The food was absolutely amazing and I can’t wait to go back. i can wholly recommend the king prawns to start and the fish stew as a main, just superb. As always the service was excellent. While I was living in Leeds this place helped me to give the feeling of being in India. The place is very close to the city centre. Not very far from the market place. Remember to reserve early. Or else you might need to wait for more than 45 mins. Especially in the weekends and any occasions. I haven't seen any Indian restaurant filled with so many foreigners having typical Indian food. I was really amazed. Twice I went with my foreign friends and they really liked it very much. The south Indian food is simply great. The Keralian fish was awesome cooked with coconut. Also you can get alcohol as well. The price was around 40 gbp for two people and that was in 2020. The behaviour of the staffs were really nice and didn't have to wait too long after we ordered the food. The ambience is so Indian. In the upstair there's enough space but personally I prefer the downstair. If a fan of Indian cricket then can see the memories of Virat and Ganguly inside the restaurant. Both of them came here during the 2019 ODI World Cup. Every taste was very authentic and has pleasant Keralian taste. The aroma of food made me think as if I was in Kerala. During busy times you might need to rush or else take time , chat and enjoy the food. Thanks for making my time in Leeds a very special one. I still miss the food from the superb restaurant. Cheers!

Amazing good with such outstanding flavours. Creative presentation. Very professional way pf managing a very busy restaurant without fuss or delay but with complete calm. We were pressured unto buying an additional rice as the waitress thought we needed it and didn't listen to us but we didn't let it spoil the Amazing meal. We will definitely return next time we are in Leeds and would recommend this experience to anyone who loves good food

One of my favourite spots in Huddersfield. Arcade has nailed the art of great coffee and even better food. Everything they put out is made with care and attention to detail - the coffee and food looks and tastes incredible. Highly recommend!

Every time I come back to Huddersfield I always make sure to visit Arcade. The food is delicious and they have many great vegetarian options, the staff are always friendly and welcoming and their hot chocolate is one of the best in the UK as it’s made with real chocolate. I cannot recommend this place enough it’s a lovely little independent eatery inside Byram Arcade.

We had a good meal here on a busy Saturday. We managed to get in for a table of four after the afternoon rush. We waited a little while for drinks to arrive, but the food came pretty quickly after that. We had a good mix of dishes between us from the crispy duck salad, pancakes, steak and eggs and a chicken burger. We all really enjoyed our food and thought the price was pretty reasonable too.

Beautiful building and decor, fab servers and fantastic breakfasts. I had the garden plate - every mouthful was delicious, Mick had the big brunch which was equally scrumptious. Our first visit but we’ll definitely return to a Bills if there’s one nearby.

Really nice food at a reasonably good price, also good service on the whole. The table felt a little cramped for 2, and the atmosphere could have been better, but on the whole, it's very good and I will certainly come back here again.

Loved the ambiance of the restaurant. The staff is very welcoming and warm. Ordered the Prawn Cocktail. Came with a mango salsa and guacamole. Great starter 👌🏼 Bill's Classic Beef Burgers for mains. Perfect medium rare juicy patties. Solid burgers 😋
