Went on fancy date night with the other half. Over all was great end to end experience for fine dining. Bill was little over £400, so there really needs superb all around experience, which fell a bit short. (Bit of noise in the restaurant and had different servers for the night and couldn’t hear some of them as they were describing the dish) 4.5/5 for me, purely due to cost vs. Experience ratio. Would go back under the right circumstances.

A fantastic atmosphere and a very good service and food. The wine flight is superbly matched to the food and provides some I testing and wonderful pairings. Highly recommend, though expensive, even by Michelin stared restaurant standards. On the whole, worth the expense.

We really loved it here. The food was excellent. Some of the chefs that came to explain their dishes could have spoken a bit slower and taken a bit more time to explain. They go so fast spmetimes you hardly get to actually understand what they are saying. We had a nice tour in the kitchen. Again, it was a bit rushed. Would have liked more insight. However all in all we had an amazing night. One more comment; I would say its a little bit too expensive for what you get. If i was comparing it with Opheem for example.

A true gem in the dining world! A place I have had the privilege of experiencing multiple times and each time improving on perfection! Talking on my last visit I must say this is a epicentre in not only the midlands but also the UK that all food and wine lovers must attend. We enjoyed the Chefs Table along with Wine pairings and it truly was an amazing experience. Every piece of food so thoughtfully made within eyesight and explained by the accompanying chef. Wonderfully enjoyed beyond words, needs to be eaten to believe. Each course served with a perfectly matched wine from the truly knowledgeable Sommelier with a knowledge base far reaching every question asked! The kitchen staff themselves being an amazing team working together in a fluid atmosphere with the real life day to day, and the amazing teamwork to create the most amazing food all under the eye of Chef Adam. A true great.

Came yesterday for breakfast we had such great breakfast and lovely warm welcome we came again today. Very good value for money too.

My new favorite cafe! Got in a little late for breakfast but they still served it up, and it was brilliant! Every part of the breakfast was cooked perfectly, even the mushrooms which were crispy not soggy . Good ingredients, friendly owners and cosy decor (even has a log burner)! Music was on point too! Will definitely be visiting again!

So I was here 3 months ago, last time I was in Brum. This place is just fantastic, I'll go out of my way to come here. The sandwich is really nice as is the coffee, but really it's the uniqueness of it's decor and the friendless that you encounter every time you come in. I think the way the place and the staff welcome you rubs off the on the people visiting, I always end up having a chat with someone. I didn't even know the back room existed before this visit, lovely space with a wood burner... If only everything in life was this good!

I posted this originally in November but I was trying to add an additional review for my visit in February and I've ended up updating only the date... The review above is not a duplicate it's a different visit.... Type of place I wouldn't expect to exist any more. Really nice sandwich (really nice bread) and great coffee for a good price in cool surroundings. I've been here once before when I stopped in Acocks Green, look forward to coming back again!

Second time visiting this restaurant and 1st time after the refurb. The refurb is definitely made the whole experience much better as there is so much more room. You can see from the picture we were sat in a new booth which was nice. The food like the 1st time was very nice, the honest review is that it all tastes fresh. Waiters are very helpful to advise how many dishes to get and which dishes are popular. There was even a special dish that we ordered that was not on the menu. Trying to find parking can be an issue. There are vegetarian options however the menu does not state which are therefore you need to ask, it would be ideal if the menu had the (v) or (vg) next to the dish.

Our first visit to tropea and we will definitely be back! The food was incredible, the burrata and mussels were particularly amazing, as well as the tiramisu. The atmosphere is lovely in there and the servers are all so knowledgeable and attentive, the service from Asher was particularly great! Thoroughly enjoyed the experience, it isn’t cheap but definitely worth it for a treat or special occasion

Was extremely pleased with this restaurant and staff were very friendly from the moment you enter. I had some booking issues but was able to resolve them quickly through email and received a prompt call to follow my issue. The solution was clearly explained and made it easy to find an alternative. In terms of food, everything was delicious and well plated. Food came out in a timely manner and more surprisingly, menus also included a small message celebrating the occasion! Truly get a taste of every dish if you can but if not, get the Arancino and salt aged-beef fillet carpaccio for starters. For pasta, the linguine with red prawns was tangy and flavoursome but meat lovers would enjoy the Tagliatelle with venison shoulder ragu. The grilled octopus was delightful and meaty and balanced well with the roasted pumpkin with ricotta. Dessert is certainly difficult to choose but the tiramisu was wonderful, fluffy but also still maintained the coffee flavour well! The panna cotta was amazingly refreshing with rhubarb and wafer~ Only thing that isn’t really a negative but just funny was a slight change to my name but honestly made the experience more memorable. I really appreciate the effort and care in every detail to ensure comfort and ease whilst dining! Overall glad I came and shoutout to the team there for making this service amazing from beginning to end! You all deserve a lot of love 🫶🏼

Went to Tropea for the first time for my birthday and it was definitely the right choice! Love the atmosphere and the little detail on the menu. The staff also offer us an extra piece of brownie after spelling my name wrong haha. Excellent service. Looking forward to return!

I love tradita. 5 minutes from my house, authentic Mediterranean recipes and the vibe is relaxing comfortable and homely. The food is always bursting with flavour, plenty of choice for everyone and always served piping hot and fresh. The tzatziki is bursting with authentic Greek flavours and takes you to the streets of Santorini. The meat is always tender and marinated to perfection and it’s a hidden gem to have such a wide range of food at your doorstep. No where else around the area offers this type of food to such a high standard. I visited today for my birthday and was welcomed warmly and accommodated for 2 hours with delicious food and great drinks for a reasonable price. The only thing that disappointed me was I ordered a seafood spaghetti. On the menu it stated it contained mussels prawns and clams. I received the dish and was enjoying it when I noticed mini octopus’s and calamari rings in the dish. The taste and flavour was great but an octopus is one of my favourite animals and I would never wish to eat one intentionally so when I noticed them in my dish I was immediately put off. The prawns and muscles and pasta was incredible I just wish it was started in the menu it contained octopus as although the dish was extremely enjoyable, I couldn’t carry on eating incase a stray tentacle was consumed. Despite this I would still return and would encourage others to visit, just ask and be aware of what’s in a dish before you order. This place is really a hidden gem! The food was gorgeous, very well made and tasty, all fresh! Highly recommend the fish share platter and also the swordfish which was fantastic! Sadly there wasn't too many other guests, the place deserves to be packed!

From the solitary voyager! This restaurant offers Mediterranean cuisine. Greek food at its finest, with superb service and highly recommended dining options. The setting has a wonderful vibe, and you can even smoke a hookah outside. Excellent wine and liquor choices, which encouraged me to remain for a while. And while I sit and take in the atmosphere, keep on offering me water. An excellent location for family outings, dining dates with your significant other, or even gatherings of lone travelers. I heartily suggest this location since the personnel is extremely warm and welcoming from the moment I go up the stairs.

A group of 6 of us went to this restaurant after work and had the early bird menu .It was the first time I had been here.. The food was beautiful and every dish was very tasty and freshly cooked. The service was excellent. I live the other side of Birmingham but would definitely return to this restaurant as the food was so good !

A great family run Italian restaurant It was a last minute booking for a Friday evening sand it was way to get a a table for us. The place had live music during the night. The portions are good as the taste. loved the pizza and pasta. Bread comes complimentary, so you can plan your dishes accordingly. I will visit again.

We came here to celebrate a 16th birthday party. The food was great although some dishes I thought the portion size was a bit on the small side for the price. The service was excellent as we were a large party and meals came out fairly quickly.

I had a pleasant experience at Yardley Inn. The atmosphere was inviting, and the service was excellent. I ordered the Taco de Jour, but unfortunately, the chicken was dry – not my favorite. However, the server was very accommodating and offered to replace it with another entrée. On the bright side, the calamari and fish and chips were delicious. Overall, good service and nice ambiance made for a decent visit.

Excellent food and always great service, recently there and was floored by how good the sweet potato soup was! Along with exceptional meatloaf was some great comfort food in a fine setting. They have something for everyone. Pumpkin cheesecake SO GOOD.

This kid friendly american restaurant in Yardley is a must see. They have dedicated parking. Great menu that isn't overwhelming. The portions are large, so it's a good value. Crab bisque was remarkable. I highly recommend it. It has some Cajun heat. Burger was properly cooked and flavorful. Fries were very good. A little sweet like kettle cooked style. Can't go wrong with steak, although I'd take my gravy on the side next time. Desserts were good. Cocktail good. Can't go wrong.

My sister had her wedding here on a Monday, she made reservations for 20 people but didn’t mention she was getting married that morning. When I called in to ask if I could bring a cake and centerpieces they were so sweet and nice and said they would note on the reservation. When we arrived she was so surprised to see that they had a private room for her set up in a beautiful way. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. The food was amazing some of the favorite meals were the crab bisque, salmon, the Mediterranean started. We want to thank everyone, the chef, the host, the waiter, even the cleaning crew because the place was nice and clean. Thank you all for the way you run this restaurant!!!

The food looked great 🍔🍟, and overall, it tasted good. I got a mix of both chicken and beef to get a proper feel for the menu. The beef burger was nice—well-cooked, good flavour, and enjoyable—but there was nothing particularly special about it. It wasn’t one of those burgers that stand out or leave a lasting impression. The chicken, on the other hand, was just average. They marketed it as Nashville chicken, but it didn’t have that proper Nashville-style taste or spice—it was just standard fried chicken 🍗. From what I’d seen on TikTok, I was expecting more, but it didn’t have that bold flavour or seasoning that makes proper Nashville chicken what it is. It wasn’t bad, just not as special as the hype made it seem. The fries were decent, nothing out of the ordinary, and the loaded fries looked good but didn’t really have anything that made them stand out either 🍟. Portion sizes were alright—not too small, but not overly generous either. One thing I did really like was the variety on the menu 📜. There’s a good selection to choose from, and one thing that stood out to me was the range of dips they offer 🌶️🧄. There was a good mix of different flavours, which was a nice touch and added a bit more to the overall meal. Now, the restaurant itself is definitely aesthetically pleasing 💕. The pink theme is really well done, and they’ve clearly put effort into making it look nice. The seating area was comfortable, but it’s quite open, so if you’re looking for somewhere more closed off or with a bit more separation between tables, this isn’t really that kind of place. You’re sitting fairly close to other people, and with the large windows, you do feel quite exposed while eating. It’s a nice spot, but it leans more towards a casual, trendy place rather than somewhere for a relaxed meal. Customer service was great—no complaints there 👍. Overall, it was a good experience, and I’d go again, but I’d say it is a bit of a TikTok hype 📲. Don’t get me wrong, the food is still nice, but it’s not as amazing as social media makes it seem. The beef burger was good but nothing special, the chicken was just average, but the variety of dips and menu options were a nice touch. It’s worth trying, but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it.

Seven of us stopped at this amazing spot on Coventry Road before heading to the Liverpool game at Anfield and it did not disappoint! If you haven’t tried their smash burgers yet, you’re seriously missing out. They’re hands down the best I’ve had in Birmingham and their chicken tenders? Absolutely next level! Huge thanks to Kira and the team for making us feel so welcome from the moment we walked in. We’ll definitely be back Insha’Allah.

The food was absolutely amazing, the taste was top tier. I came all the way from London and really wish they had a branch in London. I ordered a Chicken Cheetos Loaded Fries along with an Original Burger and Chicken Strips Plain. The kids really loved the food as well highly recommended. The reason the service and atmosphere fell a bit short was because the service was standard, you go to the till order your food and the staff don't even smile! Then you go collect your food. The atmosphere again fell short because there was nothing special apart from being clean and tidy and the colour/design of the shop was above average. Once again overall the food was absolutely amazing and I definitely recommend giving this a try!

The decor is stunning, and the vibe is just perfect for a special meal. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, adding to the overall amazing experience. The food was as fantastic as the ambiance, with every dish beautifully presented and packed with flavor. We loved every moment at The Ivy Temple Row and can’t wait to return. Rather expensive but the food is good quality, large variety of meals on the menu especially drinks, the interior is stunning with lovely decorations for Christmas. Service was quick and the waiters gave my grandma a special dessert for her 80th.

Went to The Ivy Temple Row and had the set menu, which was great value for the quality of food. The steak was cooked perfectly and really tender, definitely a solid choice if you’re unsure what to go for. But the real highlight? The sticky toffee pudding. Easily one of the best I’ve had—rich, sticky, and just the right amount of sweetness. Highly recommend saving room for dessert because it’s absolutely worth it. Service was great, the atmosphere was classy but still relaxed, and the whole experience felt like a treat without being too over the top. Would definitely go back!

I can't say enough good things about this place. The staff are wonderful, the atmosphere is great, the wine is lovely and the food was absolutely incredible!😲 best meal I have ever had! So much food! They don't skimp on ingredients either. I had a lobster linguine that was out of this world! So much fresh sea food. I couldn't finish my meal and asked for a doggie bag that definitely wasn't going to the dog. 😆 I've been like an excited child all day and couldn't wait to get home so I can eat the rest of my pasta for dinner tonight and I don't eat left overs normally! Honestly if u are thinking of eating at this restaurant STOP thinking and just go, the food is absolutely out of this world:-) Thank you so so much for the amazing meal that I could enjoy again this evening:-) We would have to drive an hour to go to this restaurant but we will be making that journey again as soon as possible because the food is worth the journey!

OMG - La Nonna is absolutely amazing. We never knew it was there, yet we love Italian food. The service is 100% spot on, as is the atmosphere - where you are not rushed and can actually enjoy your meal at your own pace. The food is amazing, the flavours are outstanding with portion sizes extremely generous. The great thing is my wife and I visited on a date night and we were blown away at everything and kept talking about it , telling others about it. Then we decided to go but this time take both our parents as well (our way of saying thank you for everything) ... Everything and I mean everything down to the last detail was the same as our first visit ... No drop in any areas, especially not the food or portion size. This impressed my wife and I, knowing it was not a fluke on our previous first visit. Our parents (who each are all picky) were amazed and loved the place, atmosphere, food, flavour and portion size. One even said they were expecting this fine dining stuff where you pay a lot and get nothing. The mother-in-law, couldn't even eat all her main and they packed it all up for her to take with her. This place, as long as they don't change is just great and amazing .... The service is next to none and can't be faulted, neither can the atmosphere. You really do get what you pay for, but with the (as it should be) added extra of the portion sizes. To find a negative ... I am being very very picky. The Champaign options are limited and expensive. 1000% recommend to anyone looking for a great date night meal location, or just for anyone to go out and to eat, drink, enjoy everything (service & atmosphere) and be able to talk. Excellent, please La Nonna do not make any changes.

Had such a lovely time at Siamais for dinner. Such a beautiful ambience, delicious food and amazing service from Gabriel, they were so helpful and attentive. We had the seafood platter for starter and it was divine.

Went for the first time and everything was perfect from the interior, customer service and the food 😘 🤌🏾 We were served by the lovely Gabriel who made us feel comfortable and welcomed! I highly recommend the seafood platter if you are a seafood lover like us! We will definitely be back!

We came to celebrate our daughter’s graduation and were seated quickly and looked after well throughout the evening. Authentic Thai cuisine and believe me because I’m Thai and not related to anyone working here. We enjoyed all the dishes and desserts. Would definitely come back again when in Birmingham.

Siamais is an absolute gem! The food was exceptionally good, and every dish we tried was bursting with authentic Thai flavors. The service was fast and super friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable. The Drunken Noodles and Massaman Chicken Curry were simply outstanding—perfectly balanced, rich, and flavorful. To top it all off, the Mango Thai Dessert was a delight; truly mouth-smacking! I would highly recommend Siamais to anyone in Birmingham looking for the best Thai delicacies. This place is a must-visit for Thai food lovers!
