Our ultimate favourite place for a chippy treat. Bal always greets with a warm friendly smile! The food is always fresh and hot. The newest addition to the menu is a taste sensation, especially for those who like the spicy variety (Punjabi patty).

I always go to taz’s fish bar for my fish and chips. Great friendly Service. I tried the Punjabi Pattie and it was amazing! I would highly recommend trying and having something different for a change!

Grew up in Barton and came back to visit after about fifteen years. The first thing I wanted was fish and chips. I used to come to this chippy as a kid, and though it’s changed owners I reckon this beats everything I’ve had in London and the south and then anything all over the world. The haddock was fresh and tasty, the batter airy and crispy, the chips perfection, but the biggest surprise was the curry. It’s proper homemade Indian dal sabzi! I haven’t tasted anything so good outside India, and my wife’s from Delhi so I have some experience. What a completely amazing surprise. Super friendly service too. Made me happy.

After moving to the area, we looked about for a new chippy and came across Taz’s fish bar. The service was incredible and the lovely lady was really helpful with local recommendations too! The food was just perfect, we both had haddock and chips, the portion size was huge, great value for money and it was all cooked to perfection. We also tried a new spicy potato patty which was out of this world, needless to say we’ve found our new favourite place for fish Fridays!
