Joel was initially very quick to respond and listen to the requirements for my daughter. He put in place Emma to to assist and she helped my daughter lift her grade from an E at the mocks to a B in the real A Level. This was more than enough to help her achieve the required UCAS points for her first choice university, so would definitely recommend.

We had previously booked subject specific tutors for our daughter, but when she told me she didn’t know how to take notes or how to properly revise I knew we needed something extra as the school just wasn’t teaching this stuff. We have been so happy with the sessions Eve had with Shania they really seemed to get on well which meant Eve felt comfortable asking questions and setting the pace. Eve has just completed her first GCSE and went into and out of the exam feeling very confident as she had the tools to ensure she knew what she needed to do to revise and get a good result. Joel cares deeply about the students who study with him, and I've found him to honest, passionate and with exceptionally high integrity. I had to persuade him to take Emily on as she is neurodivergent and we needed a tutor who was prepared to work with cameras off. Joel listened, found the right people in his team for my daughter, and over the past few months Emily has been working with a wonderful team of tutors who have really helped build both her confidence and her skills. In November of last year, my daughter enrolled in the Kumon program with the hope of improving her skills in math and English. I feel incredibly grateful to have Hedy and her team at our side throughout this journey. Their unwavering support and determination have been truly remarkable. In just a few months, my daughter has made tremendous progress, and I attribute much of this success to the hard work and dedication of the Kumon team. Not only has her academic performance improved, but she has also become more confident and independent in completing her work. My daughter was not doing so well in Eng and Maths. Since she started her Kumon journey I could see a big difference in terms of using new words, speaking amd writing more grammatically, quick in counting and use of diff mathematical applications. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to support their kids especially for parents who are busy and can't get enough time to sit with kids to teach! Hedy is fantastic and my 5 year old son has been enjoying learning and practising the worksheets at Kumon and at home. It’s a huge help to always have contact when I have questions about the app and to learn about his progress each week after his session at Kumon. It’s really helped to build his confidence and keep him a step ahead.

Kumon is a great program for building math and reading skills. It promotes independence but requires daily commitment and may feel repetitive for some. Overall, it’s a structured and effective option for academic support.

My daughter started here 8 months ago now. She's in year 4 but was behind so much in English and a little in Maths. I'm pleased to say she is now excelling in Maths and getting so much better at her reading, writing and comprehension. She's much more confident in class and is engaging more. You can also track where your child is on their portal which gives you transparency in their learning. Highly recommend.

Outstanding Tuition Centre with Exceptional Educators! I cannot speak highly enough of Explore Learning Borehamwood Centre and the incredible impact it has had on my son’s learning. From the moment we enrolled, we felt welcomed, supported, and reassured that our child was in the best hands. Learning is very effective, but also very enjoyable, he absolutely loves it there! The whole team is outstanding, easy to work with! The positive and friendly learning environment, personalised attention, and high academic standards at this tuition centre make it exceptional. The children there are very happy. I highly recommend this place to any parent looking for top-quality tuition.

I'd like to just say how happy I am with my experience so far with Explore Learning, Borehamwood branch. The staff are always friendly and on hand to help, they always respond promptly and go the extra mile to accommodate special requests such as special needs arrangements. My 14 yr old homeschooled son has serious issues around social interaction, and although he was reluctant to even sign up, he has easily adjusted to the simple online system and enjoys interacting with his personal tutor Freya. Freya is patient, funny and smart and is easy to get along with which makes classes enjoyable. There is a cool reward system where students can earn points for clothes for an avatar and the system is so straightforward with regards to tracking your child's progress - My son is honestly making progress at every lesson and learning new skills and what's great is that he is prompted on screen every time a new skill is mastered so he gets to see his progress in real time. Got the job done for local 11+ admission. Only reason not 5 stars was that there could be better communication. We had to intervene to support the essay writing with direct parent tutoring, but rest of tests went fine. thanks VAKS!

My son attended Vaks and loved it! I knew we had the right place, when my son attended the initial assessment and wanted to return. Vaks did an amazing job at building his confidence in his phonics during Year 2. The team are very encouraging and nurturing too. Firm but friendly and it was a pleasure to work alongside them to assist with my sons English. Thank you.

Honestly the best tuition out there, they got me from a Predicted D to an A in a matter of months for my English GCSE- I was only expecting to leave with a C grade. The impact of this was long lasting as it helped me with my A levels and I am now going off to university. They are extremely friendly and understanding and suggest a number of resources which is just extra help to improve. They are the best tuition group out there, and I have unfortunately been through a fair few before reaching VAKS which do not even compare the the quality VAKS tuition can offer. Moreover, they are all extremely encouraging and believe that every pupil can succeed; even when they doubt themselves (which I certainly did) and go above and beyond in order to help every individual student achieve what they require, if not better. Worth every penny!
