Gregg from Protecta Pest Control came to my property to resolve an issue with a wasp nest in the top of my roof. Gregg was very friendly & knowledgeable. Gregg provided a video from the pole tool used to treat the nest, this provided a clear view on how the wasps entered. I would highly recommend!! Professional, friendly & a fair price! Thank you!

I originally noticed M. Gregory of Protecta Pest Control (Gregg) from the advert on a parked car's window. Impressed by his credentials and the way my initial enquiry was handled, I added him to my contact list in case I needed his services. Came the day when I did! Alarmed at the sight of the tail-end of a rat as it disappeared from view when I lifted the access panel in my verandah decking to check something, I realised I may have a problem. Time to call Greg! Today he made a thorough inspection of the 32ft x 9ft area enclosed by my raised verandah. It required him to crawl on all fours. He found no sign of any droppings or nest, nor anything that would attract vermin to stay, and concluded there was no problem needing treatment. I was relieved to know that the rat I saw was simply a member of the wildlife community passing by and popping in to have a look before moving on. And I was perfectly prepared and happy to pay for Gregg's time and skill - but he wouldn't accept any payment. I was amazed and grateful for his expertise, care and courtesy.

Greg visited us at short notice, and provided great advice. He was really knowledgeable about how we could prevent pests in the future and even left us with some mesh for the vents on our house. Really good service, highly recommended.

As two fairly new home owners with little knowledge of all things DIY/pest control, we really needed someone with experience and Gregg had that and more. From making that first phone call, within 3 hours they were at my mums property. Very quick and efficient service. Very friendly staff. They gave me a 30 min to arrival phone call which was a great help as I didn't need to be at my mums for hours waiting. They dealt with the problem and explained what would happen. They phoned me to make the second visit which was good as it had slipped my mind. Came out checked and put more bait down. But all good. Again friendly and efficient. Very pleased with the service. Would deffinatly use again.

Highly recommend you give Derby Wasp Control a call. My wife and I try never to harm any creature great or small but we had wasps nesting above our bedroom window in the soffit. We hoped they would move on, but they just increased in number and we started to hear them getting inside, above the bedroom ceiling. Don't wait like we did. Chris arrived very quickly, explained clearly what he would do, and what I should expect afterward, providing safety instructions. He happily answered my questions, gave reassurance, and within a matter of hours the wasps were gone. Chris was very knowledgeable and experienced, and charged a very reasonable price. Was just by chance was with my builder and notice wasps going in and out a couple holes in the mortar and was told by the builder I have a wasps nest. Called up next morning and chris came out same day and sorted the issue. I was told they may be angry for couple hours not being able to go back home and there was an increase of activity at that point but after checking the angry residents after their eviction they disappeared in less than an hour. Very happy as they started making their way up the wall cavity coming into the bathroom which I hadnt realised as thought maybe because window been left open and they got in that way. Highly recommend Chris. Thankyou Chris.

Rang at 8pm...advised of the location of the wasp nest. Advised of price and ability to attend in the morning. 9am arrived promptly, explained process and cracked on. Explained expectation that treatment should solve problem, but if any signs of ongoing wasp activity to call back and would return as part of service included in original price. An excellent, professional service, that I would recommend and return to if needed.

Always good to support a local business. Chris arrived on the day of my call within a couple of hours. He was friendly, spoke knowledgeably about the problem (a wasp nest) and treated the issue promptly. Highly recommended.

Chris was fantastic. I called because I had a rodent problem at a flat I owned and the tenant was extremely upset. Chris was able to get there the same day I called him, liaised with the tenant and kept working on the issue until he was able to make sure that all of the rodents were gone and couldn’t gain access again. He was very good at communicating what was going on and was extremely proactive in his approach. I couldn’t recommend more high.

Chris was able to come over and sort the issue the same day. He diagnosed the potential cause and advised a solution. He set the water based incecticide bombs and we left the rooms for a couple of hours. When we returned there was no residue or chemical smell, you couldn’t tell anything had been set off. Just amazing… I could leave it at that to be fair. Never had any issues with rodents before, didn’t know what we were dealing with, spoke to Andy and within minutes he’d put our minds at rest, super informative, this was just over the phone and free advice. Yes, I’ve gave these two guys a five star review, I look at their previous reviews and a well deserved five stars. However, I rang up for their service, within a few hours they came, really lovely down to earth guys, felt comfortable around them, did a thorough job, excellent, however I was told in the next few days they would come to inspect (rat infestation] advised what to do, I was told to text with an updated they would come in the next few days to inspect, I was very happy, the inspection never happened, a fortnight later after still hearing scuttling behind my skirting boards and not daring to go in my loft to get the Christmas tree down, I text them say I was going to get another company in to check out my loft, ve never ever been scared of rats before but the one that I saw in my loft must of been on steroids, he was massive and it took a run at me, I was out of there, I didn’t ring anyone else, I’m going to deal with the problem myself, scared has I am they need going, can’t afford to pay anyone else, after the text I sent I did get a reply to say they would come out in the morning and sort it, being who I am I said no, don’t like anyone doing anything for me that they don’t want to do. Also I must mention that I have the most irritating dog ever and I’m pretty sure he was the reason I didn’t get a follow up, in their defense I had an Electrician come to give me a quote, he never came back either, good price if the job was complete, feel a bit ripped off
