āMy son and I tee'd off at 5pm. Perhaps the most challenging course to date, high handicapers should carry a dozen spare balls. Accuracy is rewarded, everything else is penalised by this course. Keep eagle eyes on your ball as fairly easy to lose in the rough. Perfect manicured fairways and fast undulating greens. We decided not to look for more than half a minute for our balls. Still could play only 14 holes before darkness. 1 birdie, two pars, and rest unmentionable for each of us.ā

āWe used Brickendon Grange Golf Club for my dadās 90th birthday party. It was fabulous! The room was light and airy with lovely views, the hot fork buffet was delicious and all the staff were really helpful. Parking was easy too. Everyone said what a lovely time theyād had.ā

āTricky Ricky indeed, this is an exceptionally hilly course with many aggressively sloping fairways and several novelty holes, including a few quite spectacular ones. Certainly worth a visit at least once to test yourself on ots hills. The course is in reasonable condition for a public course and the views over the local area and posh houses are great, so a pleasant course to play. The holes are laid out logically, so not too difficult to find your way around, although there is no overarching course map, nor do the tee boxes have any map reflecting the individual holes' layout - and there are many blind holes, albeit pins are basically all in a straight line on those holes. Walking this course can be tiring, and for such a short course (around 4000 yds from memory) it can still generally take around 4.5 hours. Local people are friendly. The course borders the exclusive Moor Park golf club, which you get several nice views of, and which looks more attractively planted and better laid out - although that is a guess. Some reviews here are claiming this is an irons only course... Personally I think at least half the holes can make good use of a driver, although the 3 and 5 woods never came out of the bag due to the risk of hitting them off sloping fairways towards quite short, sloping greens. Perhaps better players will get use out of these clubs.ā

āBeautiful course! Only played front 9 and plenty of great holes to get stuck into. Greens fast - sand used on all of them. Rocked up with no booking and as a guest - Ā£50 for 9 holes is not what I was expecting or used to - so only reason for not giving it 5 stars.ā

āEnjoyable course but at least three of the greens were in a dire state. I see from another post of one month ago that these greens are temporary but they don't appear to have improved or grown out since that time. Frustrating to see your ball being diverted by the numerous ridges on these greens. When I mentioned it to a staff member he just shrugged his shoulders. Not quite the standards I expected as the fees for non members are not cheap but still an enjoyable game of golf nonetheless.ā

āFirst time visiting Aldenham and the course was in excellent condition considering the amount of rainfall that's been coming down all year! The course was fun and challenging with a real mix of holes - particularly the 600+ yard 13th! The greens were fantastic though. They ran very true and made for an enjoyable round. Well worth a visit.ā
