It is a beautiful course that is challenging with many tree lined holes. The greens are excellent. Highly recommend a visit.

Truly lovely course, the staff are extremely friendly and kind. The food is very good and so are the drinks. Nothing is too expensive and they are good prices. I would highly recommend it to people that want to join a new golf club.

Fortunate to have played this majestic course for the Sinclair Invitational alongside some top notch pro's. Never easy, especially with those water feature holes & always seems in great condition. The 1/2 way hut is a welcome food & drinks break when open. Good practise range facilities. Recommend

Great Golf Treat The course was in good conditions considering the time of year, a bit boggy in-between the holes but in general the fairways were well drained, the real treat were the greens, very receptive and rolled true. I will definitely be back in the summertime as the layout looked fantastic.

Course is in great condition at the moment. It's a long walk, but some nice holes. Service in the bar can be a bit hit and miss.

Arguably the best layout in Hertfordshire with the course to match. Running firm and fast through the summer Berkhamsted keeps you on your toes with no hole allowing you to rest on your laurels.

Always a pleasure to visit Berkhamstead GC as the staff are fantastic throughout. The course is a gem, however, the gorse and heather which is to this course what double greens, riveted bunkers and wind are to St Andrews ... have been hacked back and removed to a shocking degree. I wonder why this is? I personally don't think the course was that tough as to necessitate this to the extent it's been carried out. I'm assuming there is a very good reason for this as it's altered the character of the course radically in my opinion. I still love the course as much as ever, but I wonder how the the loss of so much gorse will impact upon nature ... mainly the bees, who let's face it, play a gargantuan role in the ecosystem. Let's hope it grows back!

The course layout is excellent, providing a challenging test especially for straight hitters. It's in superb condition with friendly clubhouse staff and a well-stocked pro shop. Ideal for events with up to 120 guests, offering plenty of food and drink options. Overall, a top-notch experience with attentive service.

We had an absolutely fantastic day, and I received overwhelmingly positive feedback from everyone who played. The course was in excellent condition, a true credit to your greens staff. The hospitality was superb, and the food was delicious – everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Thank you for making us feel so incredibly welcome at your club. I played this course as part of an away fixture. The first time that I've played the course and was really pleasantly surprised. The club house is an extended manor house with a very modern dining and patio area behind the main entrance. The practice area is pretty good with separate nets, putting green, chipping area and grass range. The only down side was, that because it is corporate owned i presume, that there was a function going on which meant the place was packed and we had to park adjacent to the grass range, leaving numerous cars in danger of an errant golf ball from there. The course itself is a tree lined parkland course with some really nice holes. There is enough elevation throughout the course to make for some great views but it does mean that you are playing a couple of blind approach shots. The course was in great condition. The fairways had really good coverage, the greens were of a good standard with a consistent roll and had enough slope on them to make for some challenging putts. The trees around the course provide some testing drives but with plenty of space further out for longer hitters. A couple of nice dog leg holes require accurate tee shots with challenging approaches. The final hole is a good looking par 3 up hill, with a view into the patio area. The members were friendly and the food was good. There were parts of the course that were still a little damp but there is a fair amount of water in the way of pond or streams to add further challenges into your round so not that surprising. Overall well worth a visit but it definitely should be played off the back tees to get the most out of your time there.

We used Brickendon Grange Golf Club for my dad’s 90th birthday party. It was fabulous! The room was light and airy with lovely views, the hot fork buffet was delicious and all the staff were really helpful. Parking was easy too. Everyone said what a lovely time they’d had.

We held a small family party (low key) at Brickendon Grange. It is a lovely building in well kept grounds. The staff were very efficient and attentive. They decorated the table for us beautifully and clearly had spent some time doing this. We were in the Oak Room, which was very suitable for 19 of us to be seated comfortably. The food was lovely (vegetarians catered for). Cannot fault it .

Another Foxes league match against Brookmans Park Golf Club, we lost the match 3 - 1. A traditional club lots of nostalgia everywhere in the club house, our hosts welcomed us to their club in a really friendly way. It's a parkland course with several long challenging par 4's, 5 x par 3's and 4 x par 5's, from the white tees it measures 6,487 yards. All tee boxes, greens and fairways are good quality playing surfaces. Today it played a bit longer as the ground was dead from recent wet weather, so it was a bit tough. Afterwards at the meal we had a Yorkshire pudding filled with roasted veg, mash and sausages, check out the picture of the food, delicious! I will return had a great day, on an old fashioned parkland mature course.

Course was in brilliant condition and is a challenging yet enjoyable round. Prices of consumables were very fair and the staff were in general helpful and polite. The course was let down by the Marshall on duty. BE WARNED, my group went round in 3:45 today. We were told three times we were too slow, despite being right up to the members in front of us. Interestingly enough, once these members had finished on hole 9, we weren’t spoken to again, seems it wasn’t us holding people up?

Brilliant course we'll maintained friendly staff and a well stocked half way house ran by Julie who makes incredible brownies 😋, will definitely go back next year. The club house is very welcoming and the three course meal we had was excellent.

A really lovely course. A very warm welcome on arrival and a detailed explanation of the course before we set out. Given the heavy rain the last few days and the fact most courses in the area were shut I was amazed at the quality of the course. The greens were brilliant and fairways too. It can feel like a quite compact course at times, some of the tee boxes are very close to the greens which require accurate approach shots as they are refreshingly petit. A thoroughly great course definitely worth seeking out if you are within an hour or so.

A warm welcome with good service and tasty food. Course has some interesting and excellent holes and a few very plain ones. A bit more time on course presentation including definition of cuts, along with faster summer greens would make this 5*. However, it is well experiencing this track :)

The course is well kept even after some pretty terrible weather recently. Some moderately challenging holes. Very enjoyable experience.

Our team from GM Dental and Implant Centre in Barnet had an incredible time at Old Fold Manor Golf Club today! As first-time golfers, we weren't sure what to expect, but the entire experience exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly by the friendly and professional staff who made us feel welcome and at ease. The course itself was simply breathtaking. The well-maintained fairways, lush greens, and stunning views created a picturesque backdrop for our game. It was evident that the management and staff take great pride in the upkeep of the facilities, ensuring a top-notch golfing experience for their visitors. Being beginners, we appreciated the club's beginner-friendly atmosphere. The staff provided us with a brief introduction to the game and patiently answered all our questions. Moreover, the overall ambiance of the club was delightful. The clubhouse offered a cozy and inviting atmosphere where we could relax and share stories about our shots. The amenities, including the pro shop and the restaurant, were well-stocked and provided everything we needed to enhance our experience. Finally, the prices were reasonable, considering the quality of the facilities and services provided. We felt that we received great value for our money, and we can confidently say that we will be coming back for more rounds in the future. In conclusion, our first-time golfing experience at Old Fold Manor Golf Club was nothing short of exceptional. An interesting & fair layout that needs some thought. Some great views. Fairways are undulating crossed with shallow ditches. Greens are challenging, true and whilst a little slow, will be good as weather improves. Has halfway house on 11th.

Well kept course. Fairways and greens were fantastic. Even the rough was kept under control. Course is not that challenging, wide fairways and not that many hazards. Good confidence booster if you're not playing too well 😉. Club house was really nice and the young barman on duty the afternoon we were there was really friendly. Good choice of beers and spirits. I was told the food served here is also very good, we did not get a chance to try any.

Played start of May and the course was in excellent condition. Greens live up to their reputation, fast and true. The course starts quietly with two short and straightforward par 4s, but as the more undulating sections come into play it becomes trickier. Some nice views and a pretty location which feels a lot further from London than it is. Like many parkland courses, a few holes feel a little samey, but overall it's a good test and decent value

Great course and hospitality for 54th golf society Captain’s Golf Day.

A wedding anniversary celebration was held there. The food was excellent and the facilities were top class.

Beautifully kept and tended golf club.

Best condition I've seen the course in. Fabulous half way hut with home made Yummies. Great food in clubhouse.
