I really like this course. Driving up to the club overlooking the Chiltern hills you know that sometimes, it's going to be a slog into the wind. The course is a mature, interesting, parkland course with some really great holes. The club house is modern and comfortable and the members friendly. The fairways meander around the various contours of the land and the front 9 holes have a really great feel to them. With your playing across slopes from elevated tees onto well maintained tree lined fairways and up to well kept, testing greens. It was a breezy day when i played and it is really quite special to be playing golf and to have gliders from the local flying club overhead and around the course making the most of the rising air currents. The back 9 is played on more open ground really giving the breeze a chance to cause havoc with any wayward shots. There are some well placed trees and fairway bunkers to consider on most approaches. Of the bunkers that trapped me however, they were well kept with a decent amount of sand in and there has clearly been some work done to bring them up to a good standard. I played as a members guest and the fees were very reasonable and the price for a normal guest fee is really good value. It's definitely a club that i would consider membership of. Played with friends most golf courses either closed or have carry only in place. Today had my trolley and best friend with me. Great welcome and great value on my county card. Started off with a bacon roll and coffee again great value £6 each All playing surfaces fantastic condition, roll on the fairways. The greens very receptive, fast and true. Members very welcoming, will be coming back soon, overall a great day

We had the pleasure of Richard and his lovely team of staff carrying out our wedding breakfast and reception in June. From start to finish, Richard was fantastic in his approach and made sure we were updated at every stage of the process. The venue has been recently refurbished and there is a lot of space for up to 110 guests. We just wanted to thank Richard and his team again for all of their help in making sure we had a great day. If you are looking for a venue for your bid day, we would definitely recommend the Dunstable Downs Golf Club

Wow I forgot how stunning this golf course is, I've not played here in 20 years. I won't be waiting so long next time!! Fantastic condition and great value for money, highly recommend this golf course 👌 The lady in the pro shop was very polite and friendly and I found the members very welcoming. Great service, very friendly staff , amazing food, delicious and fresh. Great bar selection that's reasonably priced. Perfect place for a celebration in a beautiful setting.
