Homely. Lovely staff. Cracking meal - we came on pie night. Love the fact you get a chunky bit of pie, not a pretend pie in a ramekin. Bread and butter pudding to die for!
We don't know this region so took a gamble booking a table here (on a Sunday) for our sons 40th. Well, we will def return as the team were lovely & attentive - even though they were SO busy with an event. The roasts were delicious and I can personally recommend the sticky toffee pud 🥰. The general atmosphere was welcoming - thank you to the team @ The Sun! 🥳😎👍
My family has been coming here for twenty years, mostly in the summer, when we enjoy the magnificent walks the surrounding countryside has to offer. The beer selection is fantastic and the food has improved vastly over the years. It is our favorite place for a Sunday roast in the wider area, and the pizza is very decent. The staff is always working hard and we always leave happy and impressed with their continued commitment to improving.
Had a lovely mid day meal at The Sun Inn. Great food, great service and a lovely feel to the old pub. I had the portobello mushrooms with a side of chips and my wife had scampi n chips. Good size portions, I could have shared my wife's chips without the.extra side!! All yumo.
Incredible roast, the best I have had for a while. The lamb was really tender and the accompaniments were generous and delicious. The only downside was the beef was a bit overdone, but overall amazing food in a lovely pub.
