We had an exceptional dining experience and stay at the Penny Bun. Both of our meals were absolutely incredible—beautifully presented, full of flavour, and clearly prepared with the highest attention to detail. Compliments to the chef for an unforgettable meal! The staff were fantastic from start to finish, making us feel genuinely welcome and ensuring that every aspect of our evening was perfect. Their attentiveness, warmth, and professionalism truly set the experience apart. We’re already looking forward to our next stay in the new year and can’t wait to return for another wonderful meal. Highly recommended!
Lovely Sunday lunch in a fabulous location. Very stylish surroundings. Warm and engaging staff, friendly welcome from the barman. Roast pork and roast beef cooked to perfection followed by sticky toffee pudding and lemon curd parfait. Delicious. Special mention to Jade who looked after us so well. Our first visit and we will be back.
Enjoyed a wonderful meal in this cosy and stylish country pub, the ingredients were fresh and beautifully prepared and presented. I had the fillet steak (blue) it was a fantastic cut of meat and cooked to perfection!! Staff were attentive, professional and personable - I highly recommend the Penny Bun in Askwith, Ilkley
A gorgeous overnight stay and meal. We recent stayed in the Large room at the Penny Bun and had a wonderful time. The whole place has been decorated beautifully with lots of lovely small details (such as herbal teas for the room and bath salts for the huge free standing bath) that make the stay even more enjoyable. The food was also great, we opted for the fish pie and steak for our mains with a delicious bottle of white wine. Will definitely be back again.
Had Sunday lunch at the PB with friends. I had the beef, which was good, but husband had the pork, which was excellent. It came with REAL crackling, (not the stuff that's a bit of extra skin cooked separately). Washed down with a point of Black Sheep Bitter. Good service and a good atmosphere.
