Went to a wedding there, the setting was lovely, the staff couldn't do enough for you and the food was excellent

Nice course, wasn't expecting it to be as up and down as it was but greens had good undulations which made for some interesting putts. Good golf shop, packed with gear to get. Unfortunately was quite wet and did have a fair amount of standing water on greens and in dips on the faraway. Would love to go back when it's dry, would recommend to try but £50 green fee I thought was a bit steep but if you can get a deal for around £30-£35 it'd be well worth it.

The term hidden Gem gets used a lot but this is definitely hidden and its definitely a gem. The club has a great setting with a long single track drive from the main road through the course to a stunning clubhouse that has a moat with Black Swans on it. The staff were fantastically helpful and friendly. The course starts with a really tough 200+ yard par 3 (play for the front edge wherever the pin is). The course is a really enjoyable layout, not a tough walk or overly long and it was in very good condition.

Plays very well even after days of heavy rain, not much surface water. Great, long holes, not too challenging and great for newer golfers.

Bolton's answer to Augusta, rolling pine lined holes with fast undulating greens. Always in great condition, the course has 2 loops of 9 that bring you back to the clubhouse, great if you only have time for 9 holes or are meeting friends. With some of the best views across Lancashire & Cheshire away to North Wales, always worth a visit.

Bolton Balloon Fairies was asked to create a Balloon Wall around our 4 foot LED Numbers and what a gorgeous room they have for hire for functions. It's an upstairs room and is very large holding a couple of hundred people. Car park is spacious and bars are on both floors. Highly recommend 👌

Stunning course with great views across the area. Parts of the course were flooded but the weather had been terrible beforehand (welcome to the North West). The course was really well maintained throughout. The bar area was cozy, reasonably priced and the food was excellent.

Very attractive golf course with a variety of interesting, and testing, parkland holes. Good views and well presented. Friendly staff. Very close to the M6 motorway.

Visited Gathurst Golf Club today with work colleagues. The ground is meticulously maintained. All staff were friendly and helpful. At the end of our game we were looked after at the bar by Matthew. Overall a fantastic day from start to finish, couldn’t recommend enough.

Cracking course. Not the longest but some great holes. I managed a good few pars which I was made up with. I got a bit confused with some of the tees and some are adjacent to each other but members pointed me in the right direction. Some good downhill drives and driveable par 4 which I nearly managed one of them. Would definitely return

Best value driving range i have ever come across. Ball prices are very good, the range is huge and can actually accommodate longer hits (in pretty much any direction). Easy to park, and always a free bay. Quality of the balls is sometimes poor and it isn't the most modern, but can't complain for the price.

Nice driving range, go when its quiet and you won't have any issues. Busiest times are usually Saturdays. It is what it is ... it's a "cheap-and-cheerful" driving range where the balls are relatively cheap and there's plenty of space for you to blast some balls. Price of balls has gone up, but not too much. If you're a regular, pay for a bulk pack of tokens and it's more worth it. Is it the most modern facility you'll ever come across? No. But you know what? For the price (the cheapest in the area), it'll do for some decent practice. And the staff (Jodie, Danny etc.) are superb. The only criticism that makes it a 4 star review, not a 5 star review is that the machine sometimes short changes you on balls. I once got 38 balls (out of 50) - not happy about that. But most of the time, it's accurate. If you're looking for a cheap practice range, this is the spot!

Cheap driving range to knock some balls about, don't expect any bells or whistles but you get a mat, some rubber tees, lots of bays to use (just over 20) and some yardage markers out in front of you. Great place to practise and exceptional price especially when you buy in bulk.

Fantastic facility. Friendly relaxed atmosphere. Its the best £15 you can spend on your golf. Play courses... Check your yardages...great alternative to the driving range.

This is my first time using the golf Simulator and I highly recommend going and trying for yourself. The feedback is incredible and good for trying to identify areas of weakness. You can order a drink and some food if you wish which is brought to the simulator for you. I’ll definitely be going again.

Very impressed with the SIM, this was my first time using a SIM, had no problems at all and both me and my mate left buzzing to get back and have booked on again just a few days later. Really good help seeing the slow mo of the club head striking the ball it gives you all the info you need to correct problems. 10/10

Second time using the golf simulator. Three of use managed 9 holes over our two hour session. Great time had by all . Would recommend

A very enjoyable time staying here for nearly 2 weeks. The staff were amazing and very helpful and friendly. My original room had a tiny TV which I couldn't even see from the bed, so the lovely Linda on reception changed my room for me. Next room (23) was great and sleep quality was great. Breakfast was very good too. Caroline and Aby at breakfast were great. Stu, Jamie and all the staff we spoke with were all amazing too.

Duxbury Woods are a lovely place for a dog walk with the promise of a tasty bacon roll & pot of tea at the end of it at the golf club cafe. The ladies in the cafe were very helpful & friendly - thank you 😊

Excellent 9 hole course which was the original front 9. A lot of 9 hole courses are short & don't give many options for drivers etc.. Laurels does 😃

Great 9 holes.. long par 5, par 4 and quite a bit of water swallowing my balls. No facilities just a hut to buy water etc. Shame they let the other 9 holes to the right (now a field) go to ruin. But enjoyed it twice
