Joe and Ellis did a fantastic job replacing our old roof windows with new VELUX ones. They are skilled and knowledgeable and nice guys as well! We highly recommend Octa Design & Build.

Joe and Ellis from Octa were excellent. They visited to assess a small leak and quickly identified the roofing issue. They quickly rectified the problem and were friendly and professional throughout. I would not hesitate to use Octa again and highly recommend them!

I reached out to Joe to obtain quote for some home renovations earlier this year. After a home visit, he was able to visually re-create the room and created a quote in good time. Joe was also happy to amend the quote to incorporate additional requirements to those we initially agreed on. We decided to go with an alternative builder, but I am happy with the Joe's professional manner and the communications we maintained.

A professional and friendly company. Our conservatory internal roof was insulated and tidied up to a high standard. The workers tidied up well too and removed all rubbish. Would highly recommend and will be using again in the future.

Fabulous decorator.we had living room dining room hall and landing done. They moved all the furniture and put back every day, left clean and tidy. Andy and Matt very nice and helpful 10 out of 10 Roger Brigham

Matthew done an amazing job in making room for a freestanding fridge from an under counter fridge. He also did an amazing job altering the cupboard above to a top cabinet. Really recommend and a top guy.

Andy Rowe responded quickly to the request for a quote and provided a very reasonable detailed estimate promptly. He and his son arrived each day at the time agreed wanted no coffees or teas or other sustenance and got on with the job in a systematic and professional way. The quality of their work was excellent, and in particular the repairs to the rather old windows amazing. The only snagging problem was attended to immediately. As with all projects there were inevitably a few 'extras'. These were fully justified and discussed before being undertaken. If you need the outside of your house painted I can not recommend Andy highly enough, not only is he exceedingly professional, he is also very helpful, and a very nice person to deal with as well.

Andy and his son re-decorated my pool house. Filled in cracks in the ceiling and walls and painted a total of 5 rooms and pool area. They did an amazing job. Very professional, punctual and communication before and during was spot on. Will have them back to tackle more rooms inside our house in the not so distant future.

We hired Charles to create bespoke oak kitchen cabinet to match our existing woodwork. Charles gave a fair quote, did the work when he said he would, and managed our expectations very well throughout. As you can see from the photos the cabinets (middle two) are an excellent match, and the colour match is improving every day with sun bleaching just as we were told to expect. I have since used Charles for other projects, and intend to continue using him until one of us is to old to!

Charlie designed and fitted a shaker style linen cupboard and wardrobe for us, made beautiful solid oak worktops for our kitchen, plus designed, made and installed two doors, all to fit perfectly our very old and irregular walls. His work is always meticulous and we are more than satisfied. I would highly recommend him.

Can't fault Billy and the team. They were punctual and tidy through out the project and communication was excellent. Very happy with the standard of work and the level of care taken and very happy with the end result. I would not hesitate to use them again and highly recommend.

We’ve used Lakes builders for two jobs, a garage conversion with a small but complex extension and then additional internal improvements including new doors throughout the house. We received clear quotes and information at each stage, with excellent ideas given by Bill to ensure a seamless integration of the extension with the rest of the house. We found Bill and all his team to be friendly and professional with high quality workmanship. Whenever a snag was found Bill always had suggestions for how we could address it. We’ve been very pleased with the work completed and Lakes will continue to be my first point of call for any work needed in future.

Great communication at all stages. The team are friendly, know their stuff and are very helpful. We had our garage floor replaced. They fitted us in quite promptly and were very reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend them.

Lakes Carpentry and Builders have converted my garage into a room for my model railway layout. This work included moving a door, installing insullation, new floor, ceiling and walls. Building storage and a basebooard to build the tracks over. They have also built a new brick built shed and replaced the facia on the rear of the garage. I am very happy with their work.
