Gorgeous food, really friendly and helpful staff and a lovely location. Atmosphere is lovely, too. The only reason I didn't give full stars was that we sat in front of a really draughty window and got very cold backs.

A brilliant gem in the country side. I’m a big fan of this traditional country restaurant/pub. I enjoyed my visit to this place in Ledsham every time. Fantastic food and lovely atmosphere. It’s very popular. Suitable for families and friends. We have been here numerous times in the past. Their Sunday roast is amazing. You must try it! Booking is essential. We have also came here for some scrumptious lunches during the week. There are indoor and outdoor seatings. They also have indoor seatings upstairs which will be used when the restaurant is busy. Service is great and timely. Staffs are very friendly. Clean restroom. A parking lot available just outside the building. Definitely will return. Fully recommended!

My partner and I booked for a meal to check it out for our wedding. Since then we've been back several times and took our parents who now love this place and food as equally as us. The food is divine 😋 wow wow 👌 every meal we tried has been outstanding 👌. Cosy pub with log fires, beams n cottage feel. Welcoming place and staff alike.

Came here for my partners birthday, we couldn’t find a fault if we tried. The food was outstanding some of the best pub food we’ve ever eaten. We've had dinner at a pub with a Michelin star and I would say the food was better at the chequers! The service was great too. So glad we gave the Chequers a try we can’t wait to return!

Today we came for lunch to celebrate our 45th wedding anniversary. It was our 1st visit & from the start was very welcoming. We chose the special 2 course lunch which was cooked to perfection. We were very happy with everything including the service by Katie. Would recommend this restaurant.

Wanted to try the Sunday sharer board. Glad we did! Made a change, was very nice! Food and service good. For some strange reason no matter which Miller and Carter we go to the restaurants always feel cold. But other than that would recommend.

We dined on a bustling Saturday evening so the slightly rushed but also lax service was forgiven. Most of the food was excellent, reasonably priced and broadly authentic (even commonly innocuous items would give a significant proportion of the population an uncomfortable experience the following day). The price, dietary information and spice levels of the buffet were unclear (and it was also reminiscent of an all-inclusive budget hotel with seemingly more English and Italian food than vegetarian Indian options), so most dined from the menu instead. The menu was much better but also slightly unclear about vegetarian and vegan options. In summary, would recommend, but a few Indian restaurants in Leeds city centre get much closer to perfection.

Exceeded my expectations. Visited on 7th October 22, the restaurant has had a full refurbishment to the highest standard. Decor, customer service, and most of all the food was amazing. If I could give 6 stars I would. Huge choice of delicious food, the buffet must have had over 20 starter options, and the mains around 10. Cost was £18.00 per person. Highly recommended.

The reputation Aagrah has in Yorkshire is well documented and this location lives up to the hype. An incredibly well decorated restaurant that oozes quality the moment you walk in and surprisingly even on a Tuesday night there’s a good vibe. Buffets are not my thing so we opted to order from the main menu. The quality of the food was exceptional as was the service. Recommended

Most of the food was good, however, my niece had a Margherita of which half was burnt. I appreciate it’s a wood fired oven but when it tastes burnt that’s not the objective & when the other pizzas were great. We sent it back, not to receive anything, no apology, there will be a replacement or refund or anything, just left. The waitress didn’t know what to say & merely giggled, The front of house, waitresses are just not experienced enough & that is what will let this place down. Due to the service, we won’t be going back.

I attended a party. There was a dj on, it was good music. There was a small dance floor, enough for the dancers.... and the pizzas were amazing. Would recommend for a party and we'll be going back to the restaurant there to try the other food.

Spoons #31 on my Spoons quest…. Popped in for breakfast after doing Temple Newsam Parkrun. Good efficient service, did have to wipe the table, busy Saturday morning. Nice breakfast, hot food, nice coffee. Limited free parking nearly on the front. Ample outdoor seating

Good spoons. The food was nice and to be honest the pints of Corona I had were the cleanest I've ever tasted. I ordered the ultimate burger and it seemed to be nicer than other spoons meals I've had in the past. Overall 5 stars !

Listen it's Spoons! No review needed you know what your going to get. But there are bad Spoons and good Spoons and this happily is one of the good ones. Very busy on Saturday afternoon with the pre loading Leeds bound weekend warriors.

My sister & I came here recently for a quick lunch. We parked for free nearby and walked down to The Briggate. It doesn't look that big from the outside but I was surprised how large it was inside. We found a table then I went to the bar to place our order. I don't like using the App as I like to check out what ales they have on offer and I prefer to deal with human beings behind the bar. I ordered a fish & chips lunch with mushy peas and my sister went for a small ham & fried egg dish with chips. I had a pint of Ruddles Best which came with the price of the meal. Amazingly for the two of us the bill came in less that 18 quid. How's that for a bargain. All good!

My first visit and have to say it was beautiful. Beef bourguignon was amazing as was the venison pie. Both came with the best mash I’ve ever had. Service was outstanding. All our table was happy with their choices. We were so full after main courses so couldn’t manage a dessert but will definitely book again. 👍

Upmarket country pub with a decent selection of 3-4 rotating hand pulled ales. We've dined here many times and have had varying experiences but our latest meal was very good. Prices are on the high side for pub food but generally the quality of the dishes reflect the higher cost. The scotch egg was average but the pie was outstanding as was the pork.

Excellent meal and service here. All five in our group had different main courses and all were excellent; local produce, good portion sizes, and served hot! The fish pie was full of chunky fresh fish and seafood. Would recommend for a family meal out!

Homely warm atmosphere. Outstanding quality food & drinks. Regular live events & seasonal/cultural celebrations (food festivals, bonfire celebrations etc... Dog friendly. Amazing in the summer on the open terrace sun trap with some antipasti or fresh mini loaf bread with olive oil & balsamic for dipping and a cocktail, Aperol Spritz or a G&T. Equally nothing better than an autumnal or winter stroll through the trails around Methley, then to The Boundary House, to dream your afternoon away relaxing with a Guinness in front of the open log burning fire.

Jenny and Ian created a very welcoming atmosphere and served us very large portions of both the carvery and the cakeaway! Jenny was very upbeat and polite. She brought me directly some more vegetables to my table as I was waiting for some more from the kitchen, she didn’t have to and I really appreciated it. Ian was very friendly and set aside our cakes until we finished our mains. Great service from them both! Thank you!

We went after 2 on Saturday when the mad rush of lunch time had ended. As we had my grandson, we had to sit in the children's area. There were a lot of tables which needed cleaning and had food all over the floor from previous visiting children. We had to ask for a table to be wiped over, the bar assistant did this for us as the servers appeared a bit overwhelmed (and grumpy, one older lady said its not her area to the guy behind the bar) The food was nice as it usually is, just a little dry on some of the carvery options as it had been under the heat lamps for a little while. I chatted to the lovely lady who carved the meat. She had only been there a few weeks. She was very friendly and lotto talk to which was OK as it was quiet and no one waiting behind me. My grandson loves the play area, which entertains him whilst we wait for food to arrive. We used the app to place the order, and the carvery tickets arrived with the drinks. The guy behind the bar is always really lovely and helpful every time we visit. He can't do enough for you and always has a smile. (He has a large red beard, nice chap) There are plenty of parking spaces in the free car park. I had the small carvery, which is very filling, especially if you're like me and can make shutters on the edge of the plate and pile it well 😉. There are two gravy options, I like the plain meat gravy, which is lovely and thick. My grandson also had a carvery, and my daughter had hunters chicken. She's quite a fussy eater but this is one of her go to meals when we visit.

We called in for the first time on Sunday for breakfast after our usual carvery was basically queueing out of the door. The atmosphere was really calm and relaxing, music in the background not too loud. Staff all pleasant and smiling. Lots of space, lots of free tables. We went for the buffer breakfast, choice was fine, and everything tasted great, food not greasy and piping hot. Tea and coffee station fully stocked. The bacon was very crisp which was perfect for me, maybe not for some. Overall a really lovely relaxing Sunday morning breakfast, we will return.

We came out for tea with the kids and was served at the bar by Ian. Lovely friendly bloke. The food was great. We ordered cake away for afters and wow the portion sizes were more than generous. Ian told us to sit back at our table and he would bring the cake out to us which he did along with bags to take it away. Can't fault the service it was amazing from start to finish.

I take my uncle here once a week for a cat h up, I moved up from the south, so didnt know too many people when I arrived, the locals and staff at this pub have been a godsend, always been a friendly face, and the prices are amazing. Proper English pub !

First time eating here, food was exceptional, decor was brilliant and the staff couldn't have been better. Izgara has to be one of the best looking restaurants in Yorkshire. Really well designed, spacious and smart. Thoroughly clean throughout, the decor was fantastic too. Food - amazing flavours, great portions and very good quality ingredients. Some of the best lamb chops I've had in a long time.

It's banging. I reckon they've addressed some of the concerns of the early reviews well. You'll see that most recent reviews are 5 star. Portions were great, and I am a hungry man. They have their own dry ager for steak and 5 beers on tap, surely you can't say fairer than that? Mixed grill was an absolute delight and for the superior quality, it was great value for money too. Service and atmosphere were lovely. A much needed gem for Garforth.

Amazing food and service from the second you walk in. We were greeted on arrival with someone taking our coats and taking us straight to our table. Really impressed with the atmosphere and decoration of the inside. Little finishes in the loos with high quality hand wash/cream is also a nice luxury touch. The food was big portions for both me and my husband (starters & mains) so not sure why other reviews have stated this as it was the complete opposite! You could tell high quality ingredients have been used in the meals, as everything was so tasty, and to see the chefs cooking on the huge grills from your table, made it even more impressive. Service was quick but not rushed and it really felt like a "finer" dining place rather than your average restaurant in Garforth and somewhere perfect for a special occasion or a date night. Overall a fantastic experience and can't wait to return!

Impromptu Thursday evening dinner. While there were a good few diners in we were still greeted well and offered a table. The manager was lovely & chatty and the young waiter had been in employment with them 8 years so clearly a lad who liked his job which was nice to know. The decor is wonderful even from the entrance- very opulent. The menu was very accommodating- lots of veggie, meat & fish options and a comprehensive drinks menu to accompany. We chose the courgette & feta fritters and halloumi salad with the Mixed grill, tempura vegetables and creamed chilli spinach to follow. Service was attentive enough without being too much and the food service time was average- we probably waited a little longer than I expected for our main but it was a mixed grill all cooked to order! The starters were lovely, nice accompanying dressing on the halloumi and tasty fritters. All the meat on the mixed grill was cooked well, very tasty. The cous cous on the platter was a little dry but mixed with the sauces provided it helped. I would have liked another bit of bread- everything came in a 2 except the bread! The tempura veg was so delicious. The chilli creamed spinach was a let down- luke warm and more sauce than spinach which is a shame as the bit that we got was nice. Overall we enjoyed our visit. Lovely relaxed atmosphere in high end decor. I can see this place becoming a real gem for Garforth. £61 for 2 starters, mixed grill + 2 sides, a beer and a bottle of water I think was more than reasonable. There are private dining areas for large parties which is a good idea. Looking forward to going back again and sampling some of the cocktails in the gorgeous looking bar area.
