Just been to do the dreaded christmas shop! Loads of stock of turkeys and all the trimmings, friendly staff, got everything I needed and waltzed straight into empty que to pay. Nice one Sainsbury's and Merry Christmas to all your staff!!
This is a decent-size store with plenty of parking outside. It's always clean and tidy and the staff are friendly. The prices are pretty good, especially if you use your Nectar card to make savings. The on-site cafe is great and reasonably priced. Like most Sainsbury's, there's an Argos on-site but I haven't used it. The store also has a photo booth and one of those coin-counting machines. The petrol station is very good with plenty of pumps (pay in kiosk or pay at pump).
A decent sized Sainsbury’s with free parking for up to 2 hours when the store is open. We got everything we wanted and some of the prices are competitive with the budget supermarkets. I always pick up a couple of bottles of Erdinger low alcohol when I see it, as it seems to be getting harder to find. I had heard they sell Mackeson stout here as well - a blast from the past - but we couldn’t find it. A mention about the cakes. It is nice to see a few fancy small cakes on sale in a supermarket. Just the right size with a lovely taste. Don’t forget your rewards card of course! The store, as you expect is clean light and airy, with quite a number of self service tills for either ‘smaller basket shopping’ or larger trolley shopping. Fuel is always a competitive price, though they don’t seem to do a ‘super diesel’ at any Sainsbury’s (nor any other supermarket for that matter except I think at selected Morrisons).
The car park is a bit chaotic, but it's the best store in the area (or even slightly further) for more fancy, exotic, imported foods and ingredients. Best supermarket doughnuts too. The Carluccio's inside is weirdly empty & uncomfortable as somewhere to sit & rest (like a cheap plastic chair in a hangar), and the cream tea ruined by a scone as dry as a rusk. Decent supermarket though.
Great for groceries. Not much variety as the bigger stores for homeware. No clothing section here either.
