Finally, a high-quality chippy that truly values its customers, product, and service! I believe this location is run by the same owners as the Erdington branch—thankfully, it’s nothing like the Sparkhill branch, which is a disappointment to the brand. Despite being extremely busy over the weekend, the food was exceptional and perfectly prepared, especially the Fiery Fish. This is a top-tier chip shop operating at its best—definitely worth a visit. Keep up the great work, and I’ll be back again and again!

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with friendly service, a spotless shop, and the mouthwatering aroma of freshly fried fish and chips. The fish was perfectly cooked—crispy on the outside, flaky and tender on the inside. The chips were golden, thick-cut, and just the right amount of fluffy. They also offer a great selection of sides, including mushy peas, curry sauce, and homemade tartar sauce that was absolutely delicious! What really stood out was the quality of ingredients and attention to detail. Everything tasted fresh, and you could tell they take pride in what they serve. The portions were generous, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality you’re getting. If you’re looking for a top-tier chippy, Mother Hubbards is a must-visit! I’ll definitely be back soon.
