Cosy pub for a Sunday roast. The food was very good. Service excellent. A beautiful view with outside seating. Play area for children. An easy drive just outside of Chesterfield with plenty of parking.
We stumbled upon this gem on our way home from Chatsworth, and we’re so glad we did! The food was absolutely fantastic, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. We enjoyed a delicious roast dinner, which offered generous portions and a choice of three different vegetarian/vegan options, as well as plenty of meat options. The vegetables were perfectly cooked, and we loved the emphasis on using local produce. The highlight for us was the Brie and caramelised onion tart, which had beautifully thin pastry and a generous filling – a real treat! The atmosphere was enhanced by the cozy log burners, and it’s worth noting how dog-friendly the place is, which is always a bonus. We’ll definitely be recommending this spot and look forward to visiting again when we’re back in the area. Highly impressed!
Really nice wedding venue on the edge of the Peak District. Fantastic scenery and only a few minutes drive from Curber Edge. As a wedding photographer its always a good day at The Fox & Goose.
