I had my hair cut at Stand and Lock in Birmingham, and I couldn’t be happier with the result! They added layers that gave my hair so much volume and movement—it feels incredible. I was especially surprised by how my curls turned out; they looked so bouncy and defined, way better than I expected! The staff were absolutely wonderful, making the whole experience really enjoyable. A special shoutout to Cecile, who was so lovely and did an incredible job. As someone who always believed I had closer to type 2B hair, Ellesha achieved beautiful natural curls in my hair all the way from the root which I didn’t know were possible. What an absolute talent! I was also nervous to have my hair dyed for the first time to cover my greys, but she reassured me through the whole process. And while the colour perfectly matches my natural shade, it really brings out the richer tones and looks so gorgeous - I had to make plans to go out last night just to show it off!

I had a fantastic experience with Ellesha, she gave me one of the best haircuts I’ve had in years. From the moment I walked in she made me feel comfortable and welcomed. Her energy was great, and she shared some really helpful tips for my hair. It was also refreshing that we didn’t have the typical hairdresser chat, it felt more relaxed and genuine. The other staff were lovely too, even though I didn’t catch their names. I’ll definitely be coming back!
