Lovely family run café that's dog friendly. Staff are welcoming and attentive and the atmosphere is great. Not loads of food options but enough choice for veggie and meat-eaters. They provided sausage for the dog and they do puppacinos. Would definitely recommend.
A really lovely coffee shop by the disused Derby canal. Excellent service, good menu choices and reasonable prices. Might be worth booking a table at busy times. Good car parking included 2 disabled spaces. We will be back! Good outdoor seating when the weather is good.
This is a lovely place and the food never fails to deliver. However, the lady owner can be rude. You are immediately greeted with ‘have you booked a table’ in an abrupt manner. It seems that if she knows you it’s a different story though. She manages to squeeze people in who are in favour. It’s happened on every visit so not just an off day!
We have not been here before. We both had a drink and cake. I had a flat white with coffee and walnut cake. Delicious. My boyfriend had a milkshake which he loved and a slice of Victoria sponge cake. He said it was delicious. Staff friendly. Clean tables. Afterwards we went for a walk by the cafe. Very nice.
Visited a few times before for coffee and a buttie, so I suggested it to a mate as a meeting spot. It turned out to be a pleasant morning, so we sat outside at a picnic table. We ordered a full English, a bacon cob, and a couple of coffees. The food was excellent - hot and well cooked, and the drinks were lovely. So, we had another coffee each! The staff are really nice, and the location is very pleasant. If you need a cafe around the Draycott area, give this a try - good food at a good price! NB minimal car parking spaces, so probably gets busy at times.
