Lovely family run business, my go-to cafe on a bike ride. They always top up my bottle! Top notch food and cakes, proper coffee, Spotlessly clean with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and a character chef 👨‍🍳

Great locally sourced food, great service. No need to spend your money at Costa for a good coffee. The only downside is being on the main road which does suffer from a bit of road noise and not the best outside sitting experience you could have. Must not forget to mention the good prices for a local establishment, competing against chain cafes.

A dog friendly and cute little café with amazing service. Enjoyed our tea and lunch here after a good dog walk at Manor Park. There was great music playing in the background. Halloumi burger and cheese and onion sandwiches were very tasty indeed, and they have plenty of great cakes as well.

Fantastic food, reasonably priced and nice coffee. Great little find - good small menu and very generous portions.

This was our second trip to Crossgate campsite. If I’m not mistaken last year was their first year, and as a couple who camp quite often even then this was the best campsite we had been to. This year they have added a brand new toilet block which just elevated the experience. The owners are the most friendly, approachable down to earth people you could meet and make your stay such a lovely experience. The onsite cafe/bar is a huge plus not to mention the quiz night that they held when we were there. The views are immaculate, there’s plenty to do on the campsite and lots of really nice walks nearby. Would recommend this to anyone. Very pet and child friendly. Will definitely be back!

When I hear it's £10 on the phone as a backpacker it's like music to my ears. The field is massive with several benches which I was told you can move around to your liking. Facilities were spotless. The showers cost 20p per 2mins and are hot. I spoke to several women staff, they were all helpful and friendly, thank you.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Crossgate Campsite and Café in Tintwistle with my 5-year-old son. Booking was seamless, even last-minute, and we were welcomed so warmly by Deborah over the phone and her son in person. A warm smile and kind character. The site itself is beautiful, set against the stunning backdrop of Arnfield Reservoir and surrounded by peaceful woodland trails and views across the Pennine Bridleway. The facilities are spotlessly maintained, and the on-site café was a lovely touch, serving great food and drinks. One of the highlights for my son was seeing the beautiful peahen and majestic peacock wandering gracefully around the site. A truly magical touch for children and adults alike! We haven't left yet and are already looking forward to returning soon with my fiancée and our younger daughter. To show them this genuinely special place we’re so glad to have discovered. Tucked away from the main street this little gem is definitely worth a visit. Tastefull decor, spacious and a relaxing cosy environment with friendly staff. The food is the star though, top quality ingredients cooked with technical prowess, ample portion size and reflective and reasonable price.

I have been to the Two Hares previously for their Sunday Roast and it was delicious. This time I took my Nana and we tried their breakfast. Despite my high expectations It didn’t disappoint... I got the Brioche french toast and it was by far the best I have ever tasted. It was a generous portion, served nice and hot, ample maple syrup was provided and it had the texture of clouds. Super fluffy and super yummy. Nana had the smashed avo and toast with added bacon and equally enjoyed that. The Yorkshire tea also sealed the deal. I continue to recommend the Two Hares to anyone and everyone in Glossop :)

We had a lovely meal at The Two Hares after a long day of walking in the peaks and we were so glad we did. We found it through a quick google search, called at 8:10pm and were sat and served by 8:40pm. The staff were lovely and polite, the menu was concise but we were still spoilt for choice, the service was quick and the food was great (they even had a great veggie menu too!) Thanks for a lovely evening 😊

Good venue, hard to find from the highstreet ( well hidden ), but once inside it's a nice space to spend a couple of hours. Food is a bit on the expensive side but the quality and the services is good. We've tried the main menu and the Sunday roast so far and both are good options. Friendly attentive staff, good beers on tap and some nice seasonal drinks too. Recommended.

I love coming here for a breather by myself or with my little boy. He absolutely loves it, Lindsay is a gem and her food is delicious. The freshly made milkshakes go down a treat with my boy, the tea is spot on and the hot food is always tasty. There are lots of walks in the area so it's a great place to start or finish at.

I'm a delivery driver from Wolverhampton, so I tried this cafe, and have to say the food was amazing. The best Bacon sausage egg on toast sandwich with red sauce and black pepper. Highly recommended

Fantastic cafe. Deffinatly worthy of the 5stars. Friendly staff. Lovely food even bought some nice bread to take away. Well worth a visit. Very good value for money. Can get busy at lunch times. We had two jacket potatoes lovely.

A beautiful little gem on the Main Street of Glossop ! Cakes are amazing and I am sure the food it ! Staff are top notch 10/10 ! Beautiful seating and I had a banging hot chocolate!

Saturday 31st May 2025 This is a belting brewery today. There were 4 Distant Hills beers on in here. The owners are really nice, and the beers were in grand fettle. I had thebpale ans and a stout today There is also a lovely outdoor drinking area here A must to visit to drink real ale when in Glossop

Incredible food. I didn’t expect it to be quite as good to be honest, but my expectations were well and truly surpassed. A friend and I ordered the pâté, chicken wings, chips, mac n’ cheese and crispy beef. The crispy beef was just incredible, so chunky and thick with a great coating. 10/10 would recommend.

After a long walk this is a real haven! At the time of the visit it was quiet, but the staff were lovely & friendly, chef in the kitchen was great to see & the food we ate was excellent! Cask beer choice is excellent & several pints later well enjoyed. Well worth finding!

I had an overall great experience at Distant Hills brewing. The menu is reassuringly limited to one page of options, of which everything I tasted was of sublime quality. I would like to give a special shout-out to the pave potatoes with pesto mayonnaise, because they were absolutely perfect: spot-on consistency and taste. The steak was beautifully cooked and seasoned, and the peppercorn sauce was the best I've had, very peppery and balanced. Additionally, the lamb arancini, focaccia and courgette spears were all extremely tasty too. I have tried quite a large portion of the menu but I am looking forward to going back and I'm sure everything else will be just as great. The atmosphere is very cosy and inviting, and the staff were really lovely.

I actually don’t know where to start with this review and that’s a first , from stepping thought the door you feel welcomed into this Family run establishment Their ethos and passion about plant based food is second to none and the name truly represents how the food makes you feel inside and out It’s so rare to come across a Whole food place specifically for vegans and this gem in Glossop needs more attention Everything is homemade and I was able to customise dishes and the outcome was sensational From a superfood shake , scrambled tofu bagel and finished with a delicious smoothie bowl as the weather was lovely I couldn’t resist taking some of their energy balls away too and got to try dehydrated Mushroom crisp and Coconut cluster They do themselves The variety and abundance of colour on your plate shows the benefits , I could of stayed in their for hours talking and eating my way through the menu I wish I lived closer as I would be a regular for sure and already planning to return

Top marks! Tasty vegan food, extensive menu. The owners are friendly and clearly care about vegan food. Scrambled tofu on toast with avocado was very good and the salad was fresh. Recommend the strawberry ice tea, not too sweet and tasted freshly made. About 20 seats mainly in pairs and fours. The whole menu is available for take out too. Lots of leaflets about local events. Make a visit!

We recently had the pleasure of dining at Thrive Café in Glossop, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Came here and enjoyed a delicious snoothie and a budda bowl. They catered for a severe dairy allergy. Went above and beyond. The service was really good and quick. Staff are helpful, Friendly and can see this is their passion. This shows in the high quality food and drinks.. mine was delicious. There's a nice atmosphere: good music and comfortable seating. Really enjoyed it. Would highly recommend a visit here. Thanks again.

My third time here and definitely won't be the last. Food is fresh and delicious, friendly staff. My favourite spot for breakfast in Glossop by far. Hubby loves it too. Took a piece of cheesecake home to try as we heard it's to die for.

As a Turkish I definitely recommend this place, had a a Turkish coffee first and it was very well made, then had Turkish Breakfast for 2, avocado toast with poached eggs, cilbir, humus&pastrami. All were very delicious and the place is very cozy. You MUST try the borek with cheese and spinach, i think it’s my favourite so far. (I didn’t eat them alone with 2 more friends x)

Lovely little Turkish coffee shop. Just stopped by for drinks but will get the breakfast next time, it looked great. Flat White was tasty, strong coffee, not too much milk. The Turkish coffee was authentic. The staff were very friendly. Dog friendly place

Great breakfast options, including full Turkish as pictured. Cakes are also very yummy. Lovely staff, family business. Love the Turkish tea, only wish it was a little bigger / came with a pot rather than just one glass. Calm, relaxing atmosphere, good view of Norfolk Sq.

Located in station a lovely spot and Plenty of vegan options , I got the Sandwich and some Baked goods to Takeaway along with a porridge pot that I’ve always wanted to try and never seen in store before as a Handy grab and go while staying in a cottage near by Friendly service and hidden gem in Glossop A must visit coffee shop

Fantastic coffee and selection of foods! Tried the 'Golden latte' which was peculiar to taste at first but otherwise very lovely, hearty and warming. Also had a filled ciabatta which was beautiful warmed up. Good value for what you get. Friendly atomsphere and speedy service. This is room to sit in but it does get full quite fast! No toilet on site but one in the station just up from the shop. Will definitely visit again!

Good coffee, friendly staff, and actually in the station so handy for leaving it to the last minute to go for the train. I've not rated the food (so that's a "don't know" not a "horrible") as I only ever order tea or coffee, but the free bikkies are welcome
