Amazing pub and inn. We stayed in one of their wonderful cottages for a couple of nights. Very good value and close to local attractions. Food and service is top notch. Would recommend.

Went for a meal earlier and it was bangin ! I'm leaving a review because it's New Year's Day, they were so busy when we got there but they never turn anyone away. We waited around 20 minutes for a table, we got a drink at the bar and my little one was entertained with colouring with the crayons they provided. The staff are always really lovely and helpful. The real treat is the food ! I had the veggie sausages with garlicky mash and onion gravy and roasted carrots. The portion was generous but I also ordered a side of Yorkshire pud and greens which was a good choice, the kale and green beans were so vibrant and fresh and complimented the dish perfectly. My partner had fish and chips, which he said was the best fish and chips he'd had in ages. The fish was flaky and the batter was light and crispy. The curry sauce is recommended but you have to pay a bit extra, but definitely worth it, you could also sub the peas if you're not a fan. Chef kiss *** Thank you and happy new year to you all !

We came here for a family Sunday lunch. You are not able to book, but the staff were great at managing the queue and taking our phone number to call when the table was ready. I had the beef burger (happy that they now serve this on Sundays!) It was very good. 2 small patties, plenty of cheese and bacon and served with a good amount of nice crispy fries and a really lovely side salad. My wife had the roast beef which was also good. Plenty of lovely meat and lots of nice veg. Service was great. Even though the staff were rushed off their feet, they were still all really pleasant and friendly. I'm sure we will be back again for a family meal.

Absolutely loved it! Our first family meal in some years of not seeing each other and it was so cosy, warm and great service inside. The staff were so nice - especially Harrison who was so sweet and personable, always went out of his way to make sure we were happy and okay. Also the manager at the till, forgot his name tag but he was also such a gent and made ordering easy. Thanks so much, we will be back. Ps. Super dog friendly! I came for tea with two friends on 16 December. The whole place was beautifully decorated for Christmas. So festive and welcoming. The service was amazing. The Barman brought our drinks to the table and even poured our Prosecco! The food was delicious and a great night was had by all. Just what you want when you’re spending Money to come out. The open fire was warm and welcoming
