Pontefract for its size is a great place for a good night out. The Mad Ox is small but it has a good beer garden. Drinks are good, nothing too run of the mill. Worth a visit but very busy at weekends and race days. Shout out to the whole of Ropergate
Nice little pub but when we visited there was a lot of people inside causing us to feel very claustrophobic. Only reason for a star deduction otherwise its a lovely little pub.
