Great selection of beers, fantastic food and good service. Lovely village pub and very reasonable prices.

Had a wonderful anniversary meal at this very quiet hidden pub. Would highly recommend if you’re near the Peak District area. I would recommend the sausages that they been making themselves since 2009. The chef clearly understands flavours as well, as can be seen through the bao buns we ordered for starters. Service was spot on and they were friendly and welcoming staff.

What a find! Great atmosphere, friendly efficient team and superb food. French onion soup was the best i have had. Pork & prune/cognac Sausages and mash with veg, no lumps, rich gravy elevated a classic dish. Thank you so much - worth the 7 hour drive down from The Highlands

Fantastic first experience. Great food at a reasonable price. Will definitely be back. Thanks. Only thing that annoyed me was cash for a tip, but will be back

Great country pub. Went their first Sunday lunch. Food and service was excellent. Had the Pork roast which was delicious and the roasties were amazing. Treacle pudding was light fluffy and tasty. Decent pint of Guinness too which was creamy with strong coffee overtones and a hint of chocolate. Just a shame about noisy children but that’s not the pub’s fault. Would definitely go again
