Fabulous eco and thoughtful salon. It was a real treat to have my hair done by Emily and it's honestly the best cut and blow dry I've had in years. I can't thank you enough and it was such a pleasure to meet the team! I then had a deep tissue massage from Faye which was sublime as were the natural products she used. An all round brilliant experience. Thanks so much.

Emily cut my hair and I felt relaxed and comfortable the moment I stepped in. She listened to what I wanted and cut my hair the way I wanted. It’s a cosy and tranquil space. I’ve booked in for another appointment and look forward to using the beauty treatments one day. I recommend checking how to get to the parking area before arriving as this was a bit tricky.

Me and my mum had a fantastic facial. The treatment was brilliant and Faye was really friendly and professional. The facilities were lovely and we both left feeling very relaxed and rejuvenated. Also it was excellent value for money compared to other places, thoroughly recommend.

I had my 2nd Pedicure with Caitlin so pleased with it she remove my last Shellac varnish then cut and filed my nails before applying a new varnish. Caitlin is lovely friendly and professional highly recommended.

I went to see Jayda Rose for a double session of radiofrequency skin tightening. Her room was warm and cosy, located above Elysian hairdressers on the Dorchester Rd. After 4 years on high dose steroids (40 to 60mgs a day) and despite losing weight, I was left with a considerable amount of excess fatty, loose skin all around my neck, and some on my face. I wasn't expecting much difference. However, the results were amazing and instant. I actually have a chin and a large amount of the excess tissue around my neck and some lines on my face have disappeared after my first session! The procedure was painless and felt like a warm facial. There were no side effects, such as red skin or blotches. Jadya was professional and friendly and has undertaken an extensive amount of training and courses. I would highly recommend jayda👌 ❤️ Update 18th Dec 2024: I have now had a cours of 10 sessions costing £279. The results are astonishing. I didn't even think this was possible. For any doubters I only adopted my rescue Yorkie, Lily in August. So I have not spent a lot of time to achieve the results below. I feel like I'm back to my old self. No needles as I'm on warfarin. What a fabulous salon!!! I moved to Dorset from West London last year, and was concerned about the quality of hairdressing in a country village, being used to going to Trevor Sorbie. I needn't have worried when I chose the Salon on the square.... A beautiful environment, highly professional stylists and colorists... I had balayage and a really sassy bob cut.... I look fantastic!!! I had my first cut and colour with Claire.. She's brilliant (and sweet and funny), then, as she wasn't available for colour next time, I was looked after by Poppy, who was equally accomplished, and so, so lovely! Back again today for an even sassier and shorter bob with Claire again, and, after cutting my hair beautifully, I asked for shorter she obliged with a smile - even though she missed her lunch, due to me being THAT customer... You know, the one that's a bit of a pain in the A**. Bless her. Go.. Have a great experience!

I am new to Salon on the Square and Georgie cut my hair really well. I actually felt for the first time in ages the person cutting understood my hair (fine and a bit sparse!) and listened to what I wanted and what didn’t work. I will be booking another appointment. Thank you!

Janemarie and all the team have been and continue to be amazing, they have looked after me so well, having broken my shoulder it has been impossible to wash my hair and do my nails, so I have been a regular visitor the past 3 weeks, and they have been so generous and caring. I have been a client at Pure Poundbury for many years and have got to know the team very well. I receive a range of treatments and always come away feeling happy and nurtured. Yesterday was an update for my nails. Brittany is just the right shade of Pink to uplift my spirits. Thank you Steph I always enjoy a catch up while you work on my nails. When I visited this site I was saddened and somewhat appalled to see a negative message. I don't think this is the vehicle to write such messages. It came across as vindictive and I would question if it was initiated by a young girl. A review needs to be honest but a rant is a very different matter. All I wanted to do when I decided to post a review was comment about my Nail treatment at Pure and the professional standard of the Staff. The staff are always very friendly and immediately offer you a drink on arrival. It is an oasis of calm for the stressed! The rooms are well maintained and there are some excellent treatments. I especially like the the Anti-aging Caci which I receive once a month with Kate and Chrissie.There are also excellent monthly offers and this month I have taken advantage of a 10% discount on a block of Caci treatments. Which is a good saving. Over the years I have seen many apprentices start their career in this salon. It's a challenging time at 16 joining the workforce. Expectations may differ but I would have said from observation and Dorect knowledge as an ex Secondary School teacher that it a very supportive team at Pure and a young trainee can learn a lot from all the combined experience. Thank you Pure you have always provided an excellent service and I can thoroughly recommend you to new clients.

Afina Hair and Beauty is a lovely salon - it's stylish, friendly and welcoming. It has a bright and airy atmosphere. Eleanor is a great stylist - very happy with my haircut and highlights. Amy did a fantastic job with my manicure and pedicure. Highly recommend

Having visited Alfina for the first time yesterday, I cannot recommend it enough. I booked in to get colour, a cut and a blow dry with Emilee and she absolutely perfected the look I was going for. I arrived with hair that had been left for over a year and a half, that really needed some attention and I left feeling so happy with my new style. Thank-you Emilee! The salon itself is such a wonderful, calm and inviting space. There’s lots of complimentary drinks to choose from and if you’re caught off guard - they even have tampons, deodorant and other toiletries in the bathroom - such a nice touch! If you’re looking to find a hairdresser that makes you feel super comfortable and listened to, I cannot recommend Emilee at Alfina more. I will definitely be back!

Emilee is the best hairdresser I have ever been to. Used to have a lot of anxiety after a bad experience at a different hairdressers, but since going to Emilee for the past two years - i have never felt more confident in myself or my hair. Couldn’t recommend her more, followed her from different salons and now she’s bossing her own!! Incredible hairdresser and the pics speak for themselves💜
