What a fabulous salon!!! I moved to Dorset from West London last year, and was concerned about the quality of hairdressing in a country village, being used to going to Trevor Sorbie. I needn't have worried when I chose the Salon on the square.... A beautiful environment, highly professional stylists and colorists... I had balayage and a really sassy bob cut.... I look fantastic!!! I had my first cut and colour with Claire.. She's brilliant (and sweet and funny), then, as she wasn't available for colour next time, I was looked after by Poppy, who was equally accomplished, and so, so lovely! Back again today for an even sassier and shorter bob with Claire again, and, after cutting my hair beautifully, I asked for shorter she obliged with a smile - even though she missed her lunch, due to me being THAT customer... You know, the one that's a bit of a pain in the A**. Bless her. Go.. Have a great experience!

I am new to Salon on the Square and Georgie cut my hair really well. I actually felt for the first time in ages the person cutting understood my hair (fine and a bit sparse!) and listened to what I wanted and what didn’t work. I will be booking another appointment. Thank you!

Janemarie and all the team have been and continue to be amazing, they have looked after me so well, having broken my shoulder it has been impossible to wash my hair and do my nails, so I have been a regular visitor the past 3 weeks, and they have been so generous and caring. Having been to the same hairdresser for years my mild anxiety on my first visit to VIP was immediately dissipated.. A warm welcome by all. Fabulous colour, and the cut is superb. My hubbys comment says it all. “ That’s the best I’ve seen your hair look for years! I have a new wife!” I love it. Thank you Gemma for a great cut, and attention to detail, and the colourist whose name I didn’t pick up did a great job. Can’t recommend it highly enough.

Me and my mum had a fantastic facial. The treatment was brilliant and Faye was really friendly and professional. The facilities were lovely and we both left feeling very relaxed and rejuvenated. Also it was excellent value for money compared to other places, thoroughly recommend.

Emily cut my hair and I felt relaxed and comfortable the moment I stepped in. She listened to what I wanted and cut my hair the way I wanted. It’s a cosy and tranquil space. I’ve booked in for another appointment and look forward to using the beauty treatments one day. I recommend checking how to get to the parking area before arriving as this was a bit tricky.

I recently had the pleasure of having Emily for a haircut, and I couldn't be more impressed! Relaxed atmosphere, chilled vibes, she made me feel completely at ease. Emily took the time to listen exactly what I wanted and asked thoughtful questions to ensure she understood my preferences. She really paid attention to the details and made sure I was comfortable throughout the process! Very happy and satisfied with the cut!

Jason was awesome and the most thorough barber I have ever been to. He seriously knows his stuff, he guided me on the style he thought I needed and I went along with his recommendation. Very happy with the outcome! In fact I haven't stopped receiving complements since I left. I always thought it best to go to a hairdresser with my mind made up on what I needed doing. Not any more I Will certainly leave it to the professionals. Jason made the whole experience very enjoyable and his cutting skills are fantastic! I have certainly found my new barber! 💇‍♂️

I recently took my 3 year old daughter here for her first trim of her slow growing curly locks. I also had my 6 year son in tow. It was just before Christmas so the salon was very busy. We arrived just in the nick of time and were made very welcome. Although it was crowded, space was quickly made for us to get seated and Kate was attended to with professionalism and care. My son can be a little energetic at times and did wander down the salon a couple of times to be rapidly called back by me. At no time did I feel that there was any negative feedback from that by the staff. In fact the children were offered a sweet as a treat and the staff enaged with them when they could particularly Natalie the owner. Kate left feeling very happy. While I was sat there, I was able to observe the quality of the work that the team were creating for the clients of all ages. I would highly recommend and look forward to taking Kate along in future.

Had a lovely hair cut today with Nadine. I didn't know what to do with my hair, but thanks to Nadine's knowledge I walked out with my hair looking much more healthy and with more volume! I also had a lovely head, neck and shoulder massage which was a really nice touch. Already booked back in for January! I visited for the first time after months of needing a cut. The staff were warm and welcoming , which was a fabulous first impression. My assigned styling was very honest, letting me know that she would prefer to pass me to a more senior stylist, due to my hairstyle. I appreciated this honesty. My cut wasn't cheap but it was really well done and I like the finished style. The head massage was wonderful and so relaxing ! I think I probably overshared my life (! Lol)but my stylist, who I believe is the proprietor, was very lovely and didn't once show any kind of impatience with me..she was great!

Today was my first visit to Beautifully Gorgeous and it certainly won’t be my last. Claire was so lovely and welcoming and did an absolutely cracking job on my nails. Since my usual salon closed down I’ve had a couple of poor experiences and feel so happy to have found this salon and such a lovely beauty therapist in Claire. Can’t wait to go back!

Becky did the hair for myself, two bridesmaids and my mum for our wedding in October. She was absolutely great! All of hair looked so amazing (with differing lengths and styles for her to deal with) and she was so friendly. She really made us feel completely at ease through the whole process Highly recommended!

I am SO happy with my wedding day hair! Becky did my hair and my 5 bridesmaids, and we all looked incredible! The intricate details, plaits, flowers, it was all gorgeous. The hair trial was super relaxed and we chatted through ideas - one being a braid within a braid! From start to finish, Becky was brilliant and I've already had people asking me for her details!

Words can not express the gratitude I have for Becky! Not only did she deliver exceptional hair for all of the bridal party. She did it with such a friendly and kind approach and slotted right into the wedding morning. Becky went above and beyond on the wedding morning making sure I ate and drank plenty, making sure I was OK, offering support on setting up where needed, even to helping me into my wedding dress when baby bump suddenly appeared and dress seemed alittle tight! Even helped my daughter into her flower girls dress. Honestly was that missing bridesmaid, I never knew I needed! for that alone I'll forever be grateful! Let alone the gorgeous hair that we also got! Thank you so much! The new Mr and Mrs Bennett x

I have not had a decent haircut since COVID was around and my hair was ridiculously long. Also I am anxious about going to the hairdresser. I chose this salon due to the reviews and the fact they use natural products which I'm comfortable with. The atmosphere was very relaxed and welcoming and Catherine was absolutely lovely. She was very patient with me and has restyled my hair beautifully. I was also offered a free neck and shoulder massage which was soothing. I will definitely be returning for a trim. Five stars and I definitely recommend this salon 👍❤️✂️
