What an absolute find this restaurant was. I have been fawning over this menu for weeks and I finally got to visit. First of all the vibes of this place are immaculate. Lovely covered indoor/outdoor seating. The music was on point and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The menu reads so well and we had a hard time nailing down only a few dishes. We could have had the whole menu but there were only 2 of us. After we decided we checked with our server that we’d ordered enough and she said we were bang on. Every single dish was so delicious it’s hard to pick a favourite. The food came out as it was ready which was absolutely fine. I love a good graze and these dishes are perfect for that. We paired our delicious dishes with a bottle of white wine called Friendsips. Totally apt for a girlie friend date. We will definitely be back to The Lacy Nook. I want to try the rest of the menu.

Tasty food, friendly staff, delicious desserts. We ordered the chorizo hash, winter lentil and pork gyros and no regrets. Even my partner smiled after trying the pork gyro! Now we need to go on dinner time. I highly recommend it.

Went for Sunday brunch. Great atmosphere. Has the feeling of a pop up that's done so well it's made a home. Feels like a hidden gem in the middle of a warm community spirit. Bloody Mary's to die for, never had one with bacon before! Sadly there was no dessert as all the Saturday evening diners had eaten them all! Will definitely come back.

Can’t wait to go back already! Amazing service, great food and such a lovely atmosphere! Dog friendly and all of the staff were so lovely and helpful with the menu. The food was so flavourful, authentic and the best we have had in such a long time. So great to see fresh ingredients used! Coffee was great and we finished with a slice of cheesecake which was the best we have ever had! See you soon :)

There is only two word for this place 'THE BEST'. We ordered the jumbo platter and we struggled to finish it. The food was enough for 7 people. My brother came from abroad and his first time in Turkish cuisine, he licked his fingers afterword's. He loved it so much...the environment is perfect, EXCELLENT STAFF, what else? Just 100/100. Perfect place to take my family and guest to

If you're ever in London, you have to check out The Collab! We went with a large group, and Paul, the owner, was so welcoming. It felt like he genuinely wanted us to have a great time. Shout out to Russel too—he was super friendly and knew the menu inside out. They have tons of options, so there's something for everyone. We tried a bunch of dishes, and some real standouts were the double smash burger, mac & cheese, sweet potato fries, and buffalo wings. Everything was so flavorful and cooked exactly how we wanted. The place is perfect whether you're with a group of friends, grabbing a quick bite, or need something that fits your dietary needs. The vibe is cozy and laid-back, making it a great spot for any occasion. Highly recommend you swing by!

I have coeliac disease and need to eat gluten free. I popped in for a quick drink with a friend and was really pleased to see some gluten free options. I wasn't very hungry, so I just tried one of the small plates, the Pork Brochettes, which were delicious. The cocktail was great, too. The staff were very friendly and took the time to double check what I could safely eat. I will be returning to try a gluten free burger!

Gökyüzü Restaurant

P: 020 8527 4927

Rating: 4.3 (7117) Price Level:

I come here all the time & honestly love it. The food is always so good & the staff are very attentive and friendly. Pricing is a bit expensive but it’s standard for a turkish place tbh. Their beyti options are always nice too and such big portions! Recommend the chicken shish, it’s delicious. The cake is also yum. Also, I love that the moment we sit down, staff bring out complimentary warm bread and sauces. Honestly nothing much to fault, deffo my go to place in walthamstow. The only thing I can say is it’s a bit obvious when the staff are attempting to flirt with you and they come around smirking when you have a ring on your finger. I don’t appreciate that but it’s only happened once out of the many times i’ve been there so it’s whatever!

Eat 17 is comprised of a warm, welcoming, upscale restaurant as well as a dedicated cafe space, and a market that offers an outstanding selection of items/inventory. I was warmly greeted by a member of staff and then seated at a comfortable table. I ordered the avocado toast with bacon and poached eggs. The dish is beautifully presented and delicious - which my ‘before’, ‘during’ and ‘after’ pictures attest to.

Eat17 is a great place to have brunch, lunch or dinner. It gets busy so I recommend booking in advance. I’ve been here a few times, and each time it’s been consistently good. The prices are not the cheapest in the area but I think the atmosphere, taste and service make up for it. The cauliflower soup sand eat17 pilsner beer were standouts for me.

Firstly, I like to point out that the photos that I have uploaded with this review do not do any justice to the quality of the food. I was using a 6-year-old mobile whilst my usual go-to Pixel is being repaired! We happened to be in Walthamstow Village when a spontaneous craving for a quick meal struck. "The Kitchen," the first restaurant we passed, didn't seem too busy (early Saturday evening, thankfully, as I'd heard this popular spot gets packed). Grateful for their hospitality, they squeezed us in despite our lack of booking. The Kitchen itself is petite and beautifully decorated, exuding a cosy vibe. The staff were friendly and polite, tentative but not in-your-face. Short on time and mindful of our impromptu arrival, we opted for mains only. Their menu offered a tempting selection of small plates, burgers, and larger dishes, complemented by a well-stocked wine and cocktail selection. We ordered the Lasagna, Creamy Risotto and Jamaican Jerk Chicken. The Lasagna was a triumph. Perfectly al dente sheets embracing a rich, meaty ragu, all blessed with a gloriously crisp crust. No sogginess here – just well-balanced perfection. The accompanying rocket and lettuce salad, dressed in a light honey-oil vinaigrette, was a refreshing counterpoint, though if I were to add another element to the rocket, I would probably opt for cucumber and mango or watermelon instead of lettuce. But this is just a matter of personal preference! Now, the Jerk Chicken... on the other hand, was not great. I wouldn't normally order Caribbean food outside of a Caribbean restaurant, but for some reason, this dish seemed to 'stick out like a sore thumb' on the menu compared with all the other usual European dishes. I decided to give it a try. The aroma, while pleasant, lacked the Jerk's signature smokiness. Instead, sweetness reigned, more reminiscent of tamarind than the usual brown sugar and pineapple notes. The heat, too, was an unexpected sriracha taste instead of the normal ginger and scotch bonnet. A fusion of more Eastern than Caribbean. The chicken itself? Let's just say it had spent a touch too long under the warming glow of the microwave (in my personal opinion), resulting in unfortunate dryness. The accompanying rice and beans were lovely, but I had to resort to mixing in some rocket salad from the lasagna to salvage the dish. The Creamy Risotto, however, was a redemption song. It was creamy, it was delicious, and the pops of fresh peas and courgettes were delightful and added freshness to the palate. Topped with a generous sprinkle of Parmigiano (or was it Pecorino?), it was a dish I'd happily revisit. So, would I return? In a heartbeat! The Kitchen's charm, warm service, and reasonable prices make it a Walthamstow Gem (Except for the Jerk Chicken).

Rating: 4.4 (320) Price Level:

The service was great, food came quickly and the lady who served us (which I had gotten her name) recommended the japanese cocktail which was sooo good and it’s rare to find good cocktails for this price nowadays. The ramen was so delicious it healed me. Normally i am picky with meats but the shredded chicken was really good and the egg was the best part so i had to leave it for the last bite. The broth was absolutely heavenly. Such a good place, i hope it stays this way, will absolutely come again!

I visited Tonkotsu Walthamstow (Ramen Bar) recently and had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the food was excellent. For starters, I tried the Homemade Gyoza (£6.95), which were perfectly crispy and flavorful, and the King Prawn Katsu (£7.95) with a tangy tonkatsu dip—my favorite of the two. For the main, I had the Chilli Tiger Prawn Ramen (£15.50), featuring a light, spicy chicken broth, homemade noodles, and perfectly cooked prawns. It was delicious! The staff were outstanding—friendly and attentive. Special thanks to Leanne, Mim, Syliwa, and Viorica for making my first visit memorable and helping me with menu suggestions. Highly recommend this restaurant for its tasty food, great service, and affordable prices. Perfect for families too, as they offer kids’ meals!
