Absolutely amazing! The whole experience from arrival to entertainment was really something different and felt like a hidden magical fairytale. We came as guests to our friends wedding and it was all just so beautiful. The venue is such a great concept and the staff were all so friendly and helpful. The adaptability of the venue meant we didn't feel like we were being rushed around like you do normally in a hotel and with everything nearby you didn't feel like you were missing out on anything either. The firepits, bar, photo booth caravan, outdoor games, DJ, and dinner setup were all ten out of ten! Highly recommend if you're looking for a wedding venue that's truly magical

Honest review on our amazing venue We always knew we wanted an outdoor/woodland wedding. So when Simon proposed we immediately started looking. There are a few options around the country and we did visit a few, however Lilas wood just kept drawing us in. We will admit that the epic tree house was definitely a factor from the website. Unfortunately the tree house no longer exist because some tool decided to burn it down! But what they have put in place is in our opinion so much better. Lovingly referred to as the ‘Mandip’. It’s beautiful. THE VENUE: In its bare state it is still wonderful but all dressed up it’s magical! Faye, Sam & their amazing team transform it into a mesmerising space. We called it our “sensory wedding”, because it’s not just about the look, it’s the smell of leaves, bark and burning wood, the relaxed feeling you instantly get being outside and the friendly atmosphere your family and friends bring and all the woodland wedding staff. The staff truly felt like an extension of the people we invited. The handmade details… you have to see to appreciate but, a bar made of doors, outdoor seating, very cool toilets! (Yes there are toilets!) and so much more. COMMUNICATION: We saw a few reviews concerning communication. Both me & Simon are pretty relaxed people, if your having a woodland wedding ‘normally’ you maybe too. Faye & Sam are a family run business and also have other jobs! That was made clear to us at the beginning, so did I expect a response within 2hrs? no! I got any responses in my opinion within a reasonable timeframe. They also have the lovely Lauren who answers your emails too. They are pros at this, trust the process and be patient it’s worth it. ENTERTAINMENT: Definitely have Dan the DJ we thought he was great and our guests loved his music. We also hired the Alpacas for a few hours. Faye arranged this for us. The guests thought it was hilarious. Alan the Alpaca is a little mardy and may grab a bite of your bouquet but absolutely adorable! OTHER: For decoration we did this ourselves however in my ditsy moments I didn’t realise that Faye actually offers this service, had I realised I would have definitely gone with her. Although I noticed little touches I wasn’t expecting (the arch 😍) Food we went with the Golden Whisk which is recommended by the site. It was delicious. We did have some comments from guests about one of the members of staff from that company but aside from that we personally thought they were fantastic & friendly. We had our own florist, evening food & glamping company but that was because they were friends or friends of friends. Faye has a whole list of suppliers to help you out. All in all you should most definitely see this venue, book this venue and have the best wedding you will ever have and your guests will ever attend. We got married on May 21st 2022 and our guests are still talking about it now. It was everything and more. Thank you Faye, Sam, Lauren & the rest of you awesome bunch. We enjoyed the most perfect wedding at Lila's Wood in July 2024. The venue was magical and with the help of the venue the day went to plan. All staff played their part in making the day so special. Couldn't recommend this venue enough!

This is the most stunning venue for a non-traditional wedding, under the beautiful beech trees, in communion with nature. My husband and I had the BEST day, made so by the WW team who are a dream to work with. Highly recommended!

What a truly wonderful day! The whole venue is the most perfect and idillic place for a wedding. From teepee to stretch tent, from gin bar to wishing pond! By far our favourite part of the day was seeing the looks of amazement and dream-like awe on our guests faces as they explored the venue. As the light changes throughout the day the whole woodland is constantly transforming. Faye, Sam and the team rotate the venue seamlessly and effortlessly around you to create an ever changing and constantly adapting space that is perfect for every part of a wedding. The staff are kind, generous and nothing is too much for them to handle or too great a request. They anticipated everything we could possible need before we even new we needed it and made sure the day went off without a single hitch. Faye even turned seamstress at one point following a minor dress malfunction! Now, weeks later our guests are still buzzing about our woodland wedding and sending us an endless stream of beautiful photos that they took.
