Really delicious Thai restaurant located only a couple of minutes walk from the train station, so it's conveniently located if you're visiting from out of town. The food is delicious- we had one of their set meals and everything we had was really tasty and authentic. We'll definitely be back again. It was very busy when we visited, so I'd recommend booking, which is very easily done through their website. All the staff were very friendly and looked after us well.

Went here whilst staying at a local Airbnb. And it went way above our expectations! As soon as you walk in, the atmosphere is wonderful. Our waitress was attentive and lovely from start to finish. Portion sizes are generous, even the starters. We both had #32 Prawn curry. One of the best curries we have had! The spices and taste were amazing. Food was fresh and great quality. Just sad this isn’t our local! Definitely would come back if we are in the area.

Very nice. The food here has been consistently enjoyable over several repeat visits. The staff are friendly and it's a comfortable restaurant to eat and relax in.

We went for dinner here on Friday the 13th, and we had the most amazing time! There was live music which we didn't realise at the time and it was really good. The food has changed since we last came, so they must have new chefs. When I say it's changed I mean it has massively improved, so I highly recommend this pub if you're looking for delicious food, good drinks and a great atmosphere this is the one. It seems they are doing lots of events so we will be looking out for those and sure to come along again.

Lunchtime meet up here with family as a halfway house for us all, it turned out nice too so sat outside before meal. Good choice of beers to suit all tastes my favourite craft. Staff welcome was very friendly and loads of smiles. There were ten of us and we had a good table. The food was amazing and very large portions I had starter of Charcuterie board and main of Pork Tomahawk with warm savoy slaw which was amazing, I was last one finishing as huge meal, consequently no desert for me but I would have had the cheese board looked fabulous.

Our 3rd visit and were not disapointed.. The Sunday roast is amazing!! The place was full, which is good to know. Lovely vibe...great staff and amazing food!

I (a Brit) live in the USA now and the curry over there is just bad. My American husband and I flew back over for a wedding and were craving a curry. On the way to Suffolk from Heathrow we decided to pick a curry house on our route and thankfully landed in The Royal Bengal. It honestly was the best curry I’ve ever eaten. We picked out 3 dishes and 3 naans so we’d have plenty to take home too. The service was excellent! Even the coffee was delicious. I think every time we fly back to the UK, we’ll end up stopping here.

Friendly attentive staff, well sized food portions at good prices. Limited seating, but able to order as take away. Chicken is well cooked and presented, with tikka options having a warm red to them. Good sized portions, with a starter, bread, main and a drink cost about £20-25.

The food and service was absolutely faultless and definitely one of the best Indian restaurants I've ever eaten at. If I'm in the area again then I'll definitely be eating here again.

Hoops Pub is a fantastic spot! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it a great place to relax. The food is excellent, with a diverse menu that showcases quality ingredients. The staff is friendly and attentive, enhancing the overall experience. Best of all, the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend Hoops Pub for a casual yet enjoyable dining experience!

Amazing to be back there, having been going since I was a child, with My mother to clean, then my first bar job, 40 years of history for me and my family there. Brilliant to see the Job Russell and Tracey have done. The place is still magical.

First time in the area and had a delicious Sunday Roast at a very reasonable price. It was beautifully presented and service excellent. There is a wide selection of good pub food on offer . The building itself needs a bit of tlc but the landlords are doing what village pubs should do . Great atmosphere too .

Styling is a tasteful nod to what the building was before becoming a pub and the post van fitted out with a table and seats is a feature. However, it was the staff and quality of food that stood out for me. Friendly, informative and attentive staff, the standard stayed consistent regardless of who served us. The food came quickly, well prepared and presented. There is a good choice of food so I will definitely be back. Thank you.

Sunday lunch , two adults and one child Excellent food , DO NOT order the Mighty Three Meat lunch unless you have a huge appetite or are incredibly hungry! I received a massive quantity of beef and pork plus a large chicken leg with veg and a Yorkshire pudding Best Sunday dinner I’ve had for a long time Our waitress Honey was lovely and very professional

Stopped here for lunch and was not disappointed. The food was excellent and the staff very welcoming. It was quite busy for a wet January midweek lunchtime but we had no problems being seated. The old post office has been decorated with humorous artwork depicting it's past use.

My hubby and I were looking for somewhere nice to have a lunch date for our wedding anniversary and came across this wonderful place. The food was amazing! Starters were great have never had such big Mozzarella sticks!! Steaks cooked to the way we like them and full of flavour! Service was amazing and to top it all of we were just about to pay our bill and they bought us out a complementary brownie with happy anniversary written on the plate. We will definitely be recommending this wonderful place to friends and family.

We came to this restaurant on a Sunday. It was such a wise choice ! The restaurant is very spacious with open kitchen and lovely decoration. We I had a delicious lamb lebab whilst my wife tried the chickpea burger ! The coleslaw sauce was somehow special and we liked it a lot. Being a vegetarian, my wife was amazed by the burger ! We both enjoyed very much and everyone in the restaurant was very friendly !

Tried Flintshack for the first time and WOW! The menu has a great selection, from kebabs and burgers to rack of lamb and short rib. For starters, we shared the Salt and Pepper Squid and the portion was perfect to share. The squid was beautifully cooked. For mains I had the Chicken Shish with rice and my husband had the Rack of Lamb. Both were cooked expertly. For desert we had the Knafeh and Churros which were both delicious. Safe to say all plates were cleared and we are already looking forward to going back and trying something new.

We’ve just had a family meal to celebrate an 18th birthday. The food was all delicious and the portion size was more than adequate. The service was impeccable-. I honestly couldn’t find anything negative to say about this place - we were made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Made the birthday girl feel very special so top marks all round.

Got a takeaway here for the first time and it was amazing! Best Chinese I’ve ever had… and I’ve had many! Didn’t feel rank after, food tasted fresh and flavoursome. Will be back!

I did not stay at the hotel. I was at a daytime family party in their outside room. The location may be great, if you know Royston - but I went around the one way system 3 times and still couldn’t find the car park. Once parked nearby, it was easier to see the entrance. The car park for it is not clearly marked?

The Old Bull is a delightful building. Had a Christmas meal last night and not as impressed as usual. The food was strictly average. Unusual for The Bull. Service was very good and staff all lovely.

I didn't stay, but did have a really good meal, beef short rib with macaroni cheese and rocket salad. I'm not a fan of balsamic drizzle.. But the utterly superb gravy with the short rib cancelled out that minor grumble. My partner had the teriyaki salmon, also from the special board, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Nice staff. Slightly drafty room.

Good food and ale at this historic hotel close the centre of Royston. Friendly service. Food must be ordered at the bar
