Joe, is one of the greatest guitar tutors i know. He plans every lesson designing it for each students individual's needs. He is friendly, patient and down to earth making learning a joy, and doesn't make you feel terrible if you made a mistake (like previous teachers i've had). He taught me from scratch, and covered chords, tab, sight reading, and improvisation. We covered different genres from classical to rock. I don't know how he does it, but he works wonders on shy students. I 100% recommend him to anyone, if you're wanting to learn yourself, or your child is begging for lessons, then go for Joe, it'll be the best decision you'll make. Honestly the progress you'll make will be amazing, i'm so glad i learnt with him. He even came with me to help me find my first guitar.

I'm a beginner with little prior knowledge in music. Before I start taking lessons with Joe, I was really struggling and lessons from Joe dramatically improved my learning experience. Joe is very patient and always try to explain things carefully. He always answers my questions in the most clear fashion. Joe teaches me how to play and at the same time teaches me music theory which helps me understand things better. He pushes me to explore more and work hard but at the same time keeps things interesting and fun. The techniques I learnt in the lessons really helped me to learn the songs I enjoy. His enthusiasm also motivates me to get better at playing. In addition to all this, I really appreciate him for obliging my song request every time! In addition, the conversation after classes are very enjoyable and fun! I would recommend Joe's lessons to anyone who wants to improve their guitar skills! Joe is a great guitar teacher and we couldn’t recommend him enough! Our son started guitar lessons with Joe in Cambridge three years ago and his progress has been impressive. He has been doing sight reading, improvisation and ear training and his skills have improved massively over a short period of time. So far he’s got Grades 2 and 3 from Trinity College (distinction and merit) and he is now progressing to the next Grades. Joe is a very nice guy, friendly and very good with kids. Our son is very lucky to have him as a teacher and we would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone that would like to learn how to play the guitar!
