Gemma is an amazing teacher. My daughter moved from Australia to the UK and due to her birthday she skipped a year, moving from year 4 to year 6. Gemma was able to work with her over the course of the year and she was at level when she completed year 6 and moved into the highest set in year 7. My daughter is not super academic, more creative, so this was a major achievement. Gemma's patient and individual teaching style made her look forward to her weekly sessions. Gemma was on time for every session and prepared with individual work designed specifically for my daughter. We cannot recommend her highly enough.

Gemma has been my son’s Tutor for well over a year now. with Gemma, there was a genuine interest in getting us into the into the right path from the beginning. She is immensely punctual, easy to communicate with and kind, but firm. She is a warm and efficient person, she came into our life at a very stressful time and sprinkle her magic dust on our stress and anxiety and turn our son into a relaxed child that can now communicate after years of just being a silent listener. She has a way of explaining things that every kid enjoys. She is helping our kid on his journey to reach his potential, not through pressure but through improved confidence and a love of learning. Gemma very kindly agreed to tutor my son, even though he was a little older than the primary school children she normally works with. He was left behind a little by covid home-learning and needed to brush up on his basic literacy skills. My son is a very reluctant pupil and was quite resistant to the idea of an after-school tutor. Gemma’s manner and the way she quickly built rapport with him really helped to make this experience as pain-free (and even enjoyable although he would never have admitted it). His confidence definitely grew and Gemma’s patience and perseverance played a big part in this. She has helped him to achieve his full potential.
