Nice course with very challenging greens! Tee boxes and fairways were in great condition. Every hole was different and unique, there was only one bland hole. Greens needed a little TLC. Club house was nice and the food was great.

Verulam Golf Course was an excellent choice for our society golf day! The course was well-maintained, and the scenery was great. The facilities were top-notch, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Special thanks to Nick for his help in making the day run smoothly. His assistance was invaluable, and we really appreciated his expertise. Would definitely recommend Verulam for golf days.

The food, service, and ambiance were excellent; however, the accessible restroom requires maintenance due to a plumbing issue.

We held a small family party (low key) at Brickendon Grange. It is a lovely building in well kept grounds. The staff were very efficient and attentive. They decorated the table for us beautifully and clearly had spent some time doing this. We were in the Oak Room, which was very suitable for 19 of us to be seated comfortably. The food was lovely (vegetarians catered for). Cannot fault it .

We had an absolutely fantastic day, and I received overwhelmingly positive feedback from everyone who played. The course was in excellent condition, a true credit to your greens staff. I played this course as part of an away fixture. The first time that I've played the course and was really pleasantly surprised. The club house is an extended manor house with a very modern dining and patio area behind the main entrance. The practice area is pretty good with separate nets, putting green, chipping area and grass range. The only down side was, that because it is corporate owned i presume, that there was a function going on which meant the place was packed and we had to park adjacent to the grass range, leaving numerous cars in danger of an errant golf ball from there. The course itself is a tree lined parkland course with some really nice holes. There is enough elevation throughout the course to make for some great views but it does mean that you are playing a couple of blind approach shots. The course was in great condition. The fairways had really good coverage, the greens were of a good standard with a consistent roll and had enough slope on them to make for some challenging putts. The trees around the course provide some testing drives but with plenty of space further out for longer hitters. A couple of nice dog leg holes require accurate tee shots with challenging approaches. The final hole is a good looking par 3 up hill, with a view into the patio area. The members were friendly and the food was good. There were parts of the course that were still a little damp but there is a fair amount of water in the way of pond or streams to add further challenges into your round so not that surprising. Overall well worth a visit but it definitely should be played off the back tees to get the most out of your time there.

My son and I tee'd off at 5pm. Perhaps the most challenging course to date, high handicapers should carry a dozen spare balls. Accuracy is rewarded, everything else is penalised by this course. Keep eagle eyes on your ball as fairly easy to lose in the rough. Perfect manicured fairways and fast undulating greens. We decided not to look for more than half a minute for our balls. Still could play only 14 holes before darkness. 1 birdie, two pars, and rest unmentionable for each of us.

Great course. Very challenging with lots of water hazards and narrow fairways. Make sure you have a good few extra balls! Greens are superb whole course is very well looked after. Club house is very nice and modern. Good selection of beers and spirits. Good choice of food, very nice and well presented. Definitely be playing here again.

My first time at the Shire. Super helpful and friendly at the Pro Shop. Really enjoyed playing the Masters Course - great design by Seve! So pleased to have discovered this nearby gem. Will certainly be back soon. Thank you.

I was really quite surprised with the location of this course. I traveled through a really busy Watford town center, turned a couple of corners and then find the course tucked behind a residential estate. However having arrived at the clubhouse it feels miles from anywhere, and was really quiet to play on. The club house was really clean and well maintained. Following the path around behind the club towards the pro shop and first tee you pass a really expansive putting green and a smaller chipping area. I played using a discount voucher so thought it great value but I'm not sure if the standard pay and play fee is such a good deal. I arrived a bit late so didn't have time to use the practice range but managed to hit a few balls in the practice nets before having a quick putt. The putting green gave a good indication of the greens in general and although they were a bit slower than I'm used to they were true with and in good condition providing a consistent roll. The course itself is a friendly parkland course with pretty much all the holes playing as you see them with not too many challenges. The whole course is tree lined with some scrub in places causing the odd lost ball. The fairways are actually all pretty wide and were in a great condition (and just for a change i managed to hit most of them!). As for the greens they were all fairly friendly with not too many challenging pin placements or horrible breaks to contend with. The best hole for me was the short par 4 8th which runs down hill towards a dip on the left with trees on the right. Not being a big hitter it gave me a nice lay up approach wood for a pitch onto the green. The only hole to let the course down was the 16th which is a par 3 playing a blind shot down to a cratered green over a well placed marker. It has a very generous landing area and despite having shot my approach well right of target, I was still left with a greenside pitch onto the putting surface having expected to be in the rough. Overall a very nice course not overly challenging. Probably the best thing was at the end of the day having finished and being able to see the members and juniors making the most of the practice area. Clearly a family friendly club with good facilities and a course that would suit most golfers and as of this moment in great condition.

Went to the lady's night. What a fantastic meal and the entertainment was brilliant. Thank you to all the staff for a wonderful evening.

My first time at the venue. Having left a nearby crematorium we head d here to cel beaten the death of a good family friend. Greeted at a h door by a young lady we were warmly welcomed. Hot coffee followed by some good food. For such an occasion this is wonderful venue. A golf course with wonderful food. There is also a good restaurant on site that we will visit in the future.

Afternoon Tea. Great service, great food, great venue! For a 21st birthday celebration. Only 4 of us but it was lovely. A glass of bubbly and an extra dessert for the birthday boy and two of the staff came and sang happy birthday with us. The selection of teas was brilliant. Answered all questions. Extremely friendly people. Would highly recommend and well done Centurion for having such lovely staff. Well worth the visit!

This place is absolutely fantastic. Have played at a number of local premium courses over the last few weeks but this is a true gem. Played here yesterday as Batchworth and Moor Park closed due to rain. Well done to the team at Sandy, the course is in pristine condition. The clubhouse is also extremely inviting and the staff are well trained.

I was lucky enough to visit from the Gold Coast, Australia. David and the team were so welcoming. The course was in fantastic condition, and the greens were absolutely immaculate, the best I've played. I found it very challenging as this was my first experience with a links style course. There are a lot of interesting holes and a lot of blind shots that make it challenging without some local knowledge. I certainly would have scored a lot higher but was lucky enough to play with some friendly members.

Lovely, friendly members golf club. The course has undergone lots of work over the last 18 months and is now in superb condition. Great clubhouse, attentive staff and a tricky 18th hole! ⛳

Absolutely brilliant venue. Nice and clean. Brilliant staff helpful. Food was amazing. Wheelchair and Disability access. Toilet facility available. Ample Parking facility available with extra parking spaces. Members only golf club unfortunately. Architecture and decor was superb and kept so neat and tidy with history of the building.

I went for a mendi party. Place was easy to find, and there was plenty of parking available. Light food and drinks were served in the various function rooms.

We celebrated a work do here, and it was truly unforgettable. The manicured grounds are nothing short of spectacular—perfect for photos or a leisurely stroll between events. Inside, the interior is elegant and thoughtfully designed, striking the ideal balance between grandeur and warmth. And the food was simply outstanding: each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. Overall, Moor Park delivered an exceptional experience from start to finish.

Had a fantastic time playing the High Course. The fairways and greens were in decent condition and the pace of play was smooth. Big thanks to Ben who went above and beyond - my last minute booking was handled efficiently and he also gave me a tour of the beautiful clubhouse. Looking forward to coming back to play the West Course next time.

Ran a society day, from start to finish from Ben and the team were amazing and so accommodating. Food was amazing (steak and ale pie) as was the course and hospitality. Would 100% recommend to Societies

Played there today as part of an organisers day. Played many times before but this day was outstanding. Couldn’t have been welcomed more and nothing was too much trouble. The course was in excellent condition considering we’d have days of rain. It’s a challenging play and enough to keep you interested. The staff looked after us exceedingly well (especially Ben) from start to end, whereby we had a delicious dinner to finish. Very positive experience. Give it a go 👍🏻

Had a wonderful experience at Redbourn on Saturday having not been there for years. The range is amazing now! The guys in the shop were so kind and lent my 5 year old some clubs to use. Paula in the resteraunt still there and lovely as I remember! I can’t wait to return a lot more regularly!

Simply first class, easily my favourite course in Hertfordshire which says something given the calibre in the County. It’s a beautiful course, immaculate in condition and a really great layout. The club house is superb and very friendly staff and great food.

Well having played some of the top courses in Hertfordshire inc The Grove this course is definitely the best Iv been to, the gentleman in the pro shop was very helpful and friendly even gave me a basket of balls for the range, the breakfast we had was delicious, the course ‘Starter’ Ian was very friendly, helpful and went above and beyond, the course was fantastic and the service was second to none! Will definitely be coming back! If I didn’t live so far away I’d 100% be a member in a hart beat, thank you Ashridge!

1st time of playing Ashridge it had been well recommend to me and we were not disappointed with the course. Greens and bunkers were in excellent condition. Food and service was fantastic all staff and members was friendly and welcoming

Amazing course set in the woods with trees either side on most holes. A real challenge. Some old fashioned values still at the club. One of our party was picked up for not wearing white socks. But otherwise the club was really nice and the bar and food all really good. Bar lady was super friendly and a breath of fresh air.
