Opening hours of the 1st section till 16:00 on weekends helps us with a place to dine while most of the restaurants nearby are closed. Hot Thai dishes, both the starter (Spring rolls!) and main dish are really delicious. There are many options for kids to choose as well. Definitely a nice place to come for a walk and enjoy a good meal.
Very nice foods. It's great to have a break after a long walk along the canal. Hope the service could be improved better but not bad. Some of the items on the menu are not available, overall very nice foods, perhaps after a long walk, we feel hungry.😊 Give it a try.
Quick stop for a drink after a loop across the ranges and back via the canal. Brought back many memories of the kids when they were young as we often stopped off here. Recommend as there are lots of walks from short to long and decent free parking
Enjoyed sausages, chips and beans with a mug of coffee. Then went back for ice cream and coffee later . Clean and friendly. We ate in .
At the Basingstoke Authorities/Canal Visitor Centre in Mytchett, you can rent canoes and there is a campsite for camping ⛺️. Inside, there is a Canal Cafe, where the food is not the main focus, but it provides a great environment for quality family time. The restaurant is designed with a glasshouse concept indoors, and you can also choose to sit outside on wooden tables and chairs. Next to it is a small children's playground. After a satisfying meal, you can take a stroll along the riverbank. We saw duck parents leisurely swimming with their ducklings 🪿, and you can also rent canoes to have some fun 🚣♀️. It's truly delightful 😎! On one side of the camping grassland, there are bunny burrows 🐰, but they are quite shy and you have to approach them very carefully to catch a glimpse of them 🐇. We discovered a seemingly decorative door 😅, which turned out to be a nice spot for taking photos 📸. There is even a flower that looks like a Mario star 🌟! #KissKidsFamily
