The golf course became a public park recently. Anyone can now come and walk freely in the beautiful, spacious surroundings. A temporary path has been created from the Gurnell area into the south-east corner of the park. The Council will provide a more permanent path in due course. The cafe will remain open under the present management until the end of October at which time the Council will select a new company.

Dog friendly. Cafe is now closed. No information posted as when it will reopen.

Friendly staff, good community spirit about the place. Players are very polite and let you through. I paid £12.50 and it was a brilliant round of golf for the price. Fairways are cut lovely , the greens decent enough, for the price you pay anybody who complains there's no helping them. Not a very challenging course , great course to practice the irons or short woods, still no pushover at 2500 yards though. Highly recommend 👌

Handy spot with friendly staff, coffee and food both hot and cold is freshly prepared. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Toilets too!
