Neat, tidy and very good attention to detail and great quality. I have been using this company for years for many carpentry jobs including new doors and associated ironmongery etc. Structural floors and finishing works. 🥇 Only small draw back is that they don't do all the building work i need , like plumbing. 😄

We used Scott from 1st Choice Carpentry & Building to install our new kitchen. He did a fantastic job for us - installed to a really high standard, with minimal disruption. Scott is polite and friendly, and a tidy worker. He kept us informed about everything during the process. Would recommend using Scott, searched through quite a few carpenters on google before deciding to use his services. I was not disappointed with the result and his workmanship, a tidy and friendly contractor, who kept me informed throughout the build and helped me out with additional jobs around the house at no extra hassle.

Scott came to do some panelling, build a bespoke cupboard and fit a ceiling rose. His workmanship is excellent. My living room is transformed! He listened to exactly what I wanted, was incredibly reliable and communicated well. He even worked late until the job was done! Wonderful service! I would definitely recommend him and his company.

Rafa and team worked wonders on my kitchen. They replaced an old work surface with solid oak, fitted a wall cupboard and created a bespoke solution to cover my unsightly boiler pipes. Good communication throughout, adaptable and competitively priced. They took care to keep things clean and tidy too, putting down dust overs and hoovering after finishing the job. I am delighted with the finish and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Rafa fitted a built in wardrobe in my bedroom he helped me design what I had in mind, and built the wardrobe and spray painted the doors to the exact paint colour we wanted. Rafa did a good job fitting a dado rail and skirting for me. He was able to do the work at short notice and to a good standard. He managed my expectations well and kept me informed with progress. I will be contacting him again in future for more work.

I needed to reconfigure my wardrobe, and put new doors on, I contacted Craig and he was happy to take the job. As I was was unsure what I actually needed, Craig was happy to offer his advice on what materials I would need for the job(s). New wardrobe looks brilliant, given me so much more room, storage cuboard has been transformed with new shelves, which has given me room to put in shoe storange boxes and he converted a built in chest of drawers into a long awaited make-up/dressing table, all within two days! Everything has been finished to a professional standard, GREAT service, arrived on time, left no mess, and was always smiling. I will contact him again when I have more jobs to get done.

Craig was excellent. He was responsive when I enquired and a professional throughout. We needed some skirting boards fitted and doors shaved, we're very happy with the outcome. Will definitely use again and recommend to others.

Phil is the consumate professional you've always dreamed of. We have had several jobs done by Phil, fitting new doors with oak lintel, oak shelving and bespoke wardrobes in a challenging space. He will spend as long as you require to discuss the project and will always find a solution which, when finished, is exactly what you were expecting. Courteous, tidy and always turns up when he says he will! Can't recommend highly enough and we will undoubtedly use Phil again.

Phil has recently completed the most beautiful set of 4 fitted bookcases with cupboards below and a cupboard across the bay window. We are thrilled! Phil developed a design based on our basic needs and the finished effect is amazing: he has such good aesthetic sense and attention to detail. He is tidy and considerate and goes the extra mile: he offered to do our skirting boards too so that the fit with the cupboards is immaculate. Would definitely ask Phil back. And a thoroughly nice man as well as being a highly talented professional; a great experience! (Will add photos later)

I cannot recommend Philip enough from start to finish for fitting my entire kitchen. When Philip first came to look at my house and when we first met, he was on time and an extremely nice genuine person. He made lots of ideas and suggestions to improve on my plans using his knowledge and experiences. Although I had a fairly large kitchen, I was actually on a tight budget. Philip’s quote arrived on time and was "extremely" favourable in comparison to two other quotes I received. He took great care to protect my new oak floor. Each day the house was left clean and tidy. He was extremely reliable and 100% trustworthy. Philips attention to detail was excellent and I couldn't fault anything he did. My entire kitchen looks STUNNING ! And to say I am delighted with him workmanship is an understatement. As soon as I have saved up, I would like Philip to return and make me a treehouse and other projects.....he is that good....

If you’re thinking of having Phil undertake carpentry at your house please do not hesitate. He is a consummate professional, excellent at his craft and on top of that a really friendly bloke. We wanted a bespoke staircase fitted in our home, modelled on the original 1960s open tread staircase, and Phil did an excellent job (see photos). He worked so hard to make the staircase practical and beautiful and we have had so many comments on how beautiful it is. We would happily use Phil again and recommend him to friends and family.

When we bought our new house, we were faced with the unexpected problem of a rotten kitchen. Even though we'd had a survey done, the survey didn't highlight how bad the kitchen was. We had to rip the kitchen out with two weeks to our moving day. We were recommended Mario's services by a friend from the school run and Mario was able to fit a store bought kitchen quickly and efficiently. Mario saved the day for us. We moved in on time. Excellent service from Rubien today, had to have an emergency call out to fix the front door, after sending him a quick video of the problem, he gave me a quote. When doing the job, he found it to be a bigger job than expected and said it may cost more. After several attempts of fixing it, he eventually succeeded and still only charged me the original quote. Fitting of a large fully integrated Wren kitchen. We engaged Jon through a 3rd party and have been very, very impressed with his skills and adaptability during a very challenging large kitchen configuration. What is particularly impressive is his highly skilled joinery experience and can do attitude when he hits problems during the fitting. He reviews plans and isn’t afraid to point out flaws and or design mistakes, working with you to overcome them to give you the ideal finish. He thinks through each task at each stage to ensure an accurate and quality piece of completed work. I would highly recommend him for any joinery work, fitting and or general property maintenance work, in fact we are using him again on something else!
