I needed to find a carpenter to fit a banister and spindles to my parents open staircase to make it safer. I was even more nervous as the job was for someone I love, and I didn't know any carpenters. It was also important to me that the job was strong but also neat and beautifully finished.

After a search on Google and a good read of the reviews, I found a few companies who looked good, and Jake and Ash & Co Carpentry was one of them.

Jake instantly stood out from the other companies I spoke to both in the finish of his work and in his professional, approachable and helpful manner. He came exactly when he said he would to have a look, and he was just as professional and helpful in person, which really put me at ease. Following his visit, he guided us through the process of choosing the fittings, and he communicated so well while getting the job booked in, on the day and afterwards.

The whole experience took me from feeling quite anxious to feeling secure in the knowledge that we would get a lovely result and I was right!

Again, Jake turned up exactly when he said he would to do the work, he has done a lovely job and not only that you can't tell he was there as he tidied up afterwards so nicely. My Dad just phoned me to say how pleased he was with the work, how good it looks and how much easier it had already made it for him to get up and down the stairs.

I honestly cannot reccomend Jake enough for the help he's given me in the last 2 years. I moved to the area and have been doing a full house refurbishment. I had been let down by a few carpenters and I found Jake online.

Hes done everything for me since. Floor boards, skirting, arcs, stud walls, door frames, door fitting, shelving, and even a couple of garden projects building a children's playhouse and the latest, a gazebo.
