If you are looking for a quaint but amazing coffee stop then look no further. This little Italian coffee shop is where you need to be. The staff are amazing friendly and helpful. The coffee is smooth and flavourful. And as for the cake, will, sxxt they're awesome. I had a banana and chocolate loaf cake. It was the full of flavour and moist beyond belief. There were so many cakes on offer that I will have to come and try another. The first bite had so many different flavours coming at you that you don't know what's first. There is ample outside seating to have a catch up with some comfortable seating inside. With a range of lunch options to be had this will definitely be a welcome stop when in the area.

Great for quick hot drink or smoothie/milkshake or a light meal - wide range of Italian dishes freshly cooked on the premises; have to be quick for the breakfast range! Good portions and full of flavour. Would definitely return.

I first visited Annaré back in 2019 when it had just opened. I was warmly greeted by Rita and her son, who were working hard, creating their delicious Italian food and ensuring the café’s decor and presentation were of the highest quality. Over the years, as I’ve continued to visit this wonderful café, I’ve noticed that Rita is unwavering in her commitment to providing only the best products to her customers. I liked Annaré from the moment it opened, and it has only grown more impressive with time. The food, service, and presentation have continually improved, showcasing the dedication and passion behind it. I truly take my hat off to what Annaré has accomplished and to the long hours and hard work Rita has poured into building something so special. This is truly my favourite café!

My favourite cafe in the local area. They have a wonderful selection of savoury and sweet treats. I often get food to takeaway to reheat for dinner too. The staff are always friendly and nothing is too much trouble!

Decided to visit after our walk in the windy, cold and rainy Shaftoe Crag. Craving something hot and greasy. Would normally not have a breakfast after 13 but because it was on offer and we could not resist, my husband and I ordered it. Definitely hit the spot and served piping hot! i mean PIPING HOT! Literally hashafashasha while eating it. 😅 Hubby had his as is but me being the weirdo asked for the black pudding swapped for another slice of bacon.

Lovely home cooked food. Lovely soup and cheese scone. Can't wait to go back and try some cake! Value for money.

Definitely worth the 5 stars! The beef dinner was absolutely delightful and the desserts were just as good too! At just under £40 for two people with 2 courses and a drink each was amazing

I eat here regularly and the food is always amazing. They change the menu frequently and there is always a great choice of sandwiches and different meals. The portions are huge so be warned and try and leave room for cake. Particularly if they have been making sticky toffee pudding or cherry pie. The smells are amazing. They've worked really hard with social distancing and there is a one way system in place and the staff are all very friendly and welcoming. You can take dogs which is a bonus but I'd recommend you book as it's popular. Outdoor seating is available and when it's sunny that's lovely to sit in the garden.

Rating: 4.6 (2598) Price Level:
Three of us had a late lunch in the garden. Beautiful pub with an excellent outside seating area. Very busy, popular place. I had trout with mashed potatoes and onions. Delicious! Im a pescatarian who does not like fish to look like fish. So what i liked was that it was a trout fillet, with no heads or tails visible. Service was a little slow, however, they were very busy. I would certainly go there again.

I visited this pub/restaurant for a solo business meal. The staff were some of the friendliest, most welcoming restaurant staff I have ever encountered. The lady who I assumed was the manager treated me like a member of her family and could not do enough for me! Grace, who was waiting on my table was very attentive and friendly. The food was amazing. They said I would be back and they were right - I’ll definitely be going back here. The atmosphere was so cosy and welcoming!

Amazing Sunday roast. Roast pork, roast beef, and half a roast chicken all served on a platter with amazing yorkshire puddings. Fresh vegetables stuffing balls and gravy. What more would one want on a Sunday! Top notch food and service! Considering we did not have a booking and they were exceptionally busy, the amazing staff still managed to accommodate us. Thank you so much.

Went for breakfast for my husband’s birthday. Lovely place, friendly service and excellent food. We had a scrambled egg and bacon and a full English - both delicious and as good as we’ve had anywhere. All the ingredients were of the best quality and well cooked. Delicious coffee. The decor is tasteful and for a Tuesday morning it had a nice buzz about the place. We will be back!

We went for the first today 5 Jan 2025, recommend by a friend who lives in Ripley. She advised us to book and she was right! It’s a while since we’ve had a full-on Sunday lunch so it was a bit of a treat. One person had the roast beef, another the lamb, and I had salmon. All good with portions of Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, roast vegetables, brussel sprout mash, and sensational cauliflower cheese, plus gravy. A tasty zero beer called ‘Little Swine’ from Hogs Back Brewery which deserves wider distribution. Followed by bread and butter pudding and chocolate fondant both with ice cream. And coffees and tea. We added a generous tip for the attentive and friendly service. All up £50 a head which is good value. Didn’t have time to shop but a glance round says they’ve got delicious deli.

A great little independent cafe in the heart of Leatherhead with friendly staff and great portions...the fresh OJ was superb. When a fry up calls the sunshine cafe is where I am headed.

I chose the breakfast (BR6), fried egg, bacon, sausage, baked beans, burger and chips, with toast included. That combination would probably be more of a brunch, but it was all good and a huge portion. £10.90 with a large cup of cappuccino.

Pinnock's
Pinnocks, High St, Ripley, Woking GU23 6AF, UK | Coffee Shop P: 01483 222419
Rating: 4.7 (778) Price Level:
In my opinion one of the most underrated places to get a coffee in Surrey. The head barista really knows his coffee and they have a great selection of cakes. I asked for an espresso but was told it would be more like an aeropress/drip style. I was happy with that as I have one at home. I was recommended strength 6 and have to say it was very tasty. For cake, I had the white chocolate, pistachio loaf which again, was very nice. Service was friendly, fast and informative. Can’t ask for much more. Highly recommend.

Fantastic place for cyclists to stop for a cup of coffee and a snack, or a full on brunch. Plenty of seats outside and 2 floors inside. There is a place to park bikes outside, too! Plenty of room all in all and no need to book in advance. Wide selection of cakes, pastries, scones and sandwiches, salads, what have you. Absolutely everything was delicious, and I loved your porridge. Thanks a lot, will definitely be back!

Lovely food and coffee in a beautiful old building. Upstairs there are sofas. Be aware that the staircase is a bit steep and there are low beams. We have been here a few times and I would recommend their pancakes. The atmosphere is great however if you go in the winter, make sure you wrap up warm as it is a very old building and the heating isn’t great. In the summer, they do also have a bit of outdoor space. I would definitely recommend.

Super quirky, quintessentially English, engulfing ambience for coffee lovers, like yours truly! Brilliant coffee options, cakes, and menu! Highly recommended 👌

What an incredible, yet somewhat accidental find! Pinnocks is the most wonderful little cafe in the heart of Ripley. I wanted only to find a quick cup of coffee but what I found was an exquisite beamed ceiling and slate tiled floor, lovely farmhouse tables, a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Beautiful foods, perfect for a light lunch. There’s the gentle hum of conversation, a fresh produce delivery brought through… and what I was offered was not just a cup of coffee…At risk of sounding like a line from Rowan Atkinson in Love Actually…. This is SO much more than a cup of coffee! There are 7 different beans to choose from depending on your ‘roast’ preference. I chose Ethiopian and received a mug… Normally I prefer a cup, (because I’m a fan of delicate drinking!) but this wasn’t a chunky hunk of china. It was plastic and yet it didn’t detract from the coffee taste at all. Absolutely delicious! I cannot think of a better place to escape from the rain and enjoy an hour or so…I might be coming back for tea…

Heather Farm Cafe
Heather Farm, Horsell Common Rd, Chobham Rd, Woking GU21 4XY, UK | Cafe P: 01483 726556
Rating: 4.5 (988) Price Level:
Brilliant place. Well set out. Very dog friendly. Great staff, great food. It has everything you need even a dog washing station and ice-cream. My dog had a venison chew supplied by them. Ate it so fast only managed to get her picking her lips at the end.
Rating: 4 / 5
Great atmosphere and food. Good portions and reasonable price. However waitering service could be improved. Used cutlery and plates from previous customers were not cleared before we sat down in the cabin. We had to ask for someone to clear it when we were served our food despite waiters being available to clear it. Cutlery was not provided with the food, so I had to get it myself. The station nearest to us was not kept full, I had to ask for the manager for cutlery and to top it up. Tip for improvement: Waiters to clear tables more efficiently by prioritising tables people are sat at before clearing empty tables.
Rating: 5 / 5
Very good cafe, food is well cooked and presented. We had egg benedict and a full English breakfast. Service is friendly and fast. It does get very busy at peak times.
Rating: 5 / 5
Great place to go for breakfast, then followed by a nice walk along the amazing wetlands! Parking is great and free. There is loads of room outside including awesome outdoor pods which we used last time. The food is really nice and priced fairly. My personal tip is to arrive just after it opens, or around 9:30 - it’s not very busy then, and has a brilliant atmosphere. The staff are extremely friendly too.

We came here for lunch after a walk around Horsell common. My parents have been here multiple times, but this was my first visit and I will definitely be returning. I have coeliac disease, but they advised that the allergens could be found online and that they had gluten free bread and buns to substitute. They also confirmed the chips are fried separate so are safe to eat. Food was delicious and reasonably priced, plenty of choice. They also have a dog menu, which is a nice touch.

The Dabbling Duck
Middle St, Shere, Guildford GU5 9HF, UK | Cafe P: 01483 205791
Rating: 4.5 (1223) Price Level:
Had a lovely breakfast at the dabbling duck. The staff were all very friendly and service and food could not be faulted. There was only one fly in the ointment. We sat inside the cafe as did a lot of dog owners. My friend has allergies and is a bit wary of dogs so it was a bit off putting to her. They were also all a bit over excited and ‘talking’ to each other which made it hard for us to converse. I’ve no objection to well behaved dogs but not everyone feels the same for various reasons and they are not necessarily just being intolerant. The Dabbling Duck has a large heated marquee outside as well as covered heated outdoor seating. Would it not be a good compromise to welcome dogs only to these areas and keep the small inside seating area pet free. Other than that small niggle it was a lovely brunch before a bracing walk in beautiful countryside surrounding Shere.
Rating: 4 / 5
Lovely dog friendly cafe in a beautiful village with lots of outdoor seating. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. They have a good selection of lunch options. The only critique we would make is that the coffee and walnut cake had little to no coffee in it. But lunch was delicious.
Rating: 5 / 5
First time came and amazing village… we had latte and duck (which is full)breakfast which was very delicious. What amazed me was the breakfast was hot till half way through as I ate slowly… lol. Anyw, that was super tasty for me. The whole experience was lovely and we planned to come back again some time in the near future.

Cafe with quite a large garden area (partially covered - they have a heated yurt!) which is well done up and nice to sit in. Good selection of cakes and drinks with table service. A bit pricey though!

We visited for the second time today and had a lovely sandwich lunch. We couldn’t decide what to have! The next table had full English which I’ll try next time as looked yummy. We were given a taster of todays soup- gazpacho which was delicious too. The staff are very affable and there’s a very friendly atmosphere. There are seats outside too. Dog friendly a bonus for me.
Rating: 5 / 5
A conflicted 5 stars, as I have no interest in hurting a local places rating when I’ve just moved locally, or hurting places rating that have done me no wrong period, but I offer my feedback none the less. As far as a small village coffee shop goes, it is what I would expect, and Horsley is lucky to have it. There are things are missing that probably get a pass from me because of its demographic and small village nature. I had a flat white, dine in, served in a take away cup. I looked around and saw big mugs mainly. My guess is, being a strongly British area, they are used to big hot mugs, and not coffee served shorter at 65 degrees, I am guessing they probably don’t have dine in flat white cups, which is probably an expense they don’t require really so fair play. Just a guess though! My coffee tasted excellent to be fair, so kudos there! It was however more textured like a cappuccino on the frothy side. The decor inside is lovely and rustic, it really does look warm cozy and comfortable, I would almost think I was in hipster parts of Melbourne. There are dogs everywhere which I love. I’d be curious to know their food hygiene rating after what I saw on trip advisor, that was grim reading. I only hope it’s improved since 2019/20 as I believe anything below 4 stars is farcical, and that all places should legally be required to show their hygiene rating on the window. I read reviews about locals getting the service and outsiders feeling just like that, outsiders. I understand that perspective from what I saw, but it’s probably a tricky one to manage on their end too. There are some hospitality aspects missing to take this place to another level, but that’s also a level they probably don’t really need to strive for. Overall, a small business supported by the locals clearly, and I sensed very good vibes amongst them, if you’re passing by and need a coffee I’d give them your business but I wouldn’t go out of the way to come here if it’s more than 15 minutes out of your way.

The King William Ⅳ Pub
83 The St, West Horsley, Leatherhead KT24 6BG, UK | Pub P: 01483 976041
Rating: 4.5 (462) Price Level:
The atmosphere of the pub is very cozy and friendly, true English tradition reigns here. The interior is decorated in a classic style, which gives the place a special charm. When it comes to food and drinks, they are top notch here. The menu offers a wide variety of traditional dishes and everything I tried was delicious and of good quality. The beer is always fresh and there is a large selection of varieties, both local and imported. The pub staff are polite and always ready to help with your choice. Overall, King William IV is a great place. I recommend it to everyone who appreciates good food, excellent beer and a pleasant atmosphere. 😉😋
Rating: 5 / 5
Our first visit since they reopened and we were impressed. A smart modern interior decor, a well tended beer garden, and a new patio area. We had a burger and a sandwich for lunch, which were both very good quality. The only disappointment was that the Shere Drop was off, so we had to opt for Hogs Back Tea, but that was just bad timing. Note the car park is a little small and visibility coming out isn't the best. Recommended.

Friendly, polite and attentive staff. We came here on Sunday and had Sunday roast of lamb leg and beef brump. Taste was amazing.really enjoyed and will recommend this place . Pecan’s tart smells a bit eggy for me but passion fruit cheese cake was tasty.

From the renovation, to the service, to the delicious food- as a local, I feel VERY lucky to have such a fantastic pub on my doorstep. As somebody with a gluten intolerance, I am always skeptical when attending pubs of whether they will be able to cater to my needs. When I first attended for food, I was blown away by what could be adapted to be gluten free and how helpful the staff were with this. I ended up getting the Billy Burger with the blue sauce in the most INCREDIBLE gluten free bun! GF bread can be so hit or miss but they smashed it with this. Last night, when attending the football match (I recommend you go to the Billy to watch, it was fab!!), I ordered the Caesar and it genuinely was the best Caesar salad (gone gluten free) that I have ever eaten. I would definitely recommend this special !! Not only is the food, the building and pub garden fabulous, but the staff are just as amazing. There is nothing too much for them and they always have a smile on their faces. Thank you to everyone at the King William for bringing such a wonderful pub to our village!
Rating: 5 / 5
We arrived as the light was fading so couldn’t appreciate the outside areas but once through the front door the pub was a typical country pub, log fire blazing and lots of lovely touches. We’d booked to eat but had arrived early. This wasn’t a problem for the staff, we were taken through to the restaurant which was quieter but lacked the charm of the pub. Quite plain really with nothing to catch your eye and make it charming like the pub itself. The service was polite and the food was lovely. I had the burger which was cooked just the way I like it with all the trimmings. By the time we left the building was full, well worth a visit but maybe book ahead.
