21Jun2024 Great little cafe, serving the basic traditional English meals and all-day-breakfasts. Cafe benefits from a large south-facing window, so lots of light. The window also faces one of the pedestrian thoroughfares of Stevenage New Town, so lots of opportunities for people-watching, and a respite place from the bustle of the central square and the Westgate centre. Right next to the indoor market and Lenny's Fish shop, so perfectly placed for a cheeky cappuccino while shopping for food.

Great service, a good breakfast and fair price. What more can you ask for. There are loads of cafes in Stevenage town center but this is definitely one we know is always a good stop. Waitresses are friendly and welcoming. Thank you.

Gary and the staff have always been welcoming every time I visit the cafe. They have always got a great selection of food to have whether it's for breakfast or lunch whilst they're all at decent prices as well. Would definitely recommend it to anybody who fancies a fry up or a quick bite whilst they're in the town centre.

Hands down best cafe in Stevenage! Staff were lovely and accommodating even after I made an error with my order. Prices are very reasonable. Great ambience, decor and atmosphere, everything was just giving! 10/10 would recommend 🤗

Best cafe in the town centre, clean, bright, lovely staff, cooked to order, would highly recommend. You can get a cooked breakfast all day (they have lots of different set breakfasts to choose from - all come with tea or coffee, and toast or bread). Jacket potatoes are huge and come with salad, burgers, and chips are also a huge hit ! It's a nice place to visit as a family because everyone has something different and everything is always on point ! It is a family run business and they are always helpful and happy to see you.

First visit today......certainly the best cafe I have found in this area by a mile.....excellent food, friendly staff, good price. As a motorcyclist I know my cafe's and this rates.

Beautiful Avo on sourdough toast with bacon & poach eggs. My eggs were perfect & it was smoked streaky bacon, high quality food is served. They have a variety of dishes on the menu all at reasonable prices, all the dishes being brought out looked delicious. Also my tea was served in a pot with loose tea, and a filter was in the pot too so you pour delightful tea. Restaurant is very clean & spacious, toilet is clean & staff helpful. Highly recommend this place for breakfast or lunch.

Lovely bright cafe. The poached eggs are the best I've had in the area. Served on sourdough toast, the free range eggs are perfectly cooked. The service was friendly and quick. We were very pleasantly surprised and will be back.

1st visit here. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Really great chicken and bacon salad. The tea wasn’t the usual tea bags that we’ve become to expect but proper leaves in specific tea pot so no tea leaves in your cup All in all an unexpectedly good experience. My 2 sisters and I had a lovely toasted sandwich and coffee lunch at Chateau cafe. Christina who served us was just delightful and really looked after us. The food was delicious and as I have coeliac I was impressed that they could also offer a gluten free alternative. It was a miserable rainy day but this visit brightened us all. Thank you.

Esquires Coffee in Stevenage is a cozy spot with great vibes and even better coffee. The staff are friendly, and the atmosphere is perfect for relaxing or getting work done. Their pastries and specialty drinks are top-notch. A lovely independent café worth visiting regularly. Highly recommended!
