First visit to the restaurant and certainly won’t be the last. Authentic Indian flavours and served with lots of warmth and love…will be back soon!

We were so pleased to find this Indian has a varied menu with traditional dishes on the menu. The delicious food is cooked to order, including accommodating the dairy-free needs of one of our party. The serving staff and chef couldn’t have done more to be helpful and give information about the dairy in different dishes. The food was served in attractively crockery and was neither swimming with oil nor glowing with artificial colours: all the dishes were a lovely consistency with rich flavours. We didn’t take a picture as we were just enjoying the meal! We did snap the pudding, which was equally delicious. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We will definitely be returning.

Amazing family owned Indian restaurant, food is out of this world! Authentic, fresh, and good portion sizes. Cannot recommend India Gate more highly.

I recently dined at India Gate and had an amazing experience! The food was absolutely delicious, with rich flavours and perfectly balanced spices. The service was exceptional; the staff was friendly and attentive. The ambience was warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a cozy dinner. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic and flavourful Indian cuisine.

My family and I chose to visit this place after reading the reviews, and we were not disappointed! It had a cozy atmosphere, and the food was outstanding. We enjoyed a delightful cheese selection, which was very nice. The kids savored their waffles, and I must say, the sandwich was incredibly tasty, packed with plenty of fillings. The service was also very friendly!

Cute tea shop with quirky fun décor (think tea cups hanging from chandeliers.) Scones were served warm and were delicious. The team also accommodated our request for no sandwiches with fish which was kind of them. I would have knocked half a star off for service, but that wasn't possible. This was because we did have to request milk for our tea (this may be slightly harsh as they were busy). I also did feel there was a discrepancy with our bill and what was communicated at the point of booking but the matter was swiftly and fairly resolved over email.

We really enjoyed our time at The Queen of Herts for my mums 50th Birthday party ! The function room is themed so beautifully and set a lovely atmosphere. Zoe is such a ray of sunshine and her service and kindness made the visit that much more enjoyable. Would recommend for parties and get togethers!

We had a lovely Mother's Day tea here today. Andrea is so friendly and remembered me from a previous visit. The whole staff was kind and polite. The food was delicious, I especially loved the cheese and relish sandwich and the red velvet cake. It was a wonderful meal, and we'll definitely be back.

What a gem of a place The Hub is. I've been on an extended visit to the village, and the cafe has been a welcome respite for me. The coffee is fabulous (as an Aussie I'm VERY fussy about my coffee), and the food is delicious, particularly the Bakewell tarts. The staff are so warm and welcoming, remembering my order and my name, and I am always greeted with a smile. I've got to know more people (and their wonderful 4-legged friends) in 4 months than in 20 years in my local cafe back home. Worth a detour if you're not local, and your regular trade if you are. I can honestly say, we had the best toasties I've ever had in living memory...made with lovely locally baked grain bread. And such wonderfully friendly and generous staff!

This is a qwerky and unique place to come for a nice home cake or scones, with cyclist photos, literature and clothes to different races and memories, with beautiful low beans and lovely cakes, we all had different cakes, orange and lemon cream cake, earl grey and blackcurrant and a Victoria sponge. Something nice see if your travel between Hemel Hempstead to St Albans or Harpenden or Junction 9 of the M1. Over as every cyclist does using the nicky line.

What a lovely little coffee shop, we did a pit stop during a 33 mile cycle ride to refuel and had a strong Americano and the most delicious lemon drizzle cake. Seating available outdoors, friendly staff and quirky cycling themed decor, definitely a thumbs up from me and most definitely will be stopping here again to refuel :-)

Food gorgeous but limited, bacon and sausages in rolls mainly, cakes that leave you licking your lips, coffee, tea and cold drinks. Serve pizzas in the evening on a Friday. Atmosphere welcoming but seating is on benches in a warehouse setting and can feel cold in cold weather as warehouse door is open

Walk along the nickey line from Hemel to redbourne regularly and like to stop off here for a treat of coffee and cake. Cakes are some of the best!! Totally recommend

Most Friday evenings, the Pudding Stop in Redbourn turns into The Pizza Stop where they turn out remarkable New York-style pizzas to eat in or take away. The pizzas are genuinely the best in quite a wide area, Johnny and his team working with quality ingredients and a ripping hot oven to produce tasty and consistent pies. Redbourn is lucky to have it (and the 5 minute drive from St Albans is absolutely worth the journey).

Unique venue and perfect if you’re having your vehicle MOT tested nearby. Staff are lovely and options are really good. They have all the different plant milks available. Coffee is really nice but is small considering what you pay. Got the triple layer brownie which tastes amazing - the bottom layer was very hard though but still tasted great Would recommend!

Absolutely loved our classy evening in Nook last night. Boujee, sophisticated vibes, delicious cheese, meats & nibbles & quality wine (in posh glasses) all served by the very attentive, friendly & lovely staff. An excellent night out. Can't wait to go back! xx

Pass the sign for this place on a5 and have been meaning to call in.....lovely coffee delicious Victoria sandwich and we noticed they do evening things as well like bingo!!! So a nice get together for the villagers ..will definitely come back

We enjoyed finding Nook and loved the veggie breakfast last Sunday. Tea came in a pot with my choice of plant based milk. There is plenty to choose from to suit all tastes. We will definitely be going back. Highly recommend visiting.

Popped in whilst having some work done on the car - what a great cafe! The staff were great and welcoming, making my 6 year old feel special too! Food was really nice, service was brilliant. Will come again if in the area.

Very nice pub with good food

Booked a pod, service was great as was the food. The only problem was my feet were freezing but the weather was terrible that day. The Pods do have heating though and a Bluetooth speaker.

We all enjoyed a super Christmas Day Meal here in one of the Pods! ⭐️ The food was truly delicious! Quality, with lots of variety and generous portions. The service was excellent too! Lovely Cosy little coffee shop, I popped in today with my son for the first time and the staff were super friendly and kind, the brownies and coffee were delicious we will definitely return again soon

YOU HAVE TO GO HERE! Heard about this today and sad it wasn’t sooner! Absolutely INCREDIBLE!. My wife and I had two double burgers a drink and both fries and came to £36, a reasonable price for this economy! This was the most phenomenal burger I’ve ever had in this country. Proper American style - hoping that’s a compliment!! The chips were seasoned to perfection and real crispy! None of this limp nonsense. It’s such a little cute space - It’s got 6 seats, half inside half outside. We were going to stay and enjoy the vibe but it started to rain. Cant wait to go through their entire menu. Also ! Drove 15 mins home and the food was still hot. The bun held up and wasn’t soggy and gross like other places that do similar things. It was delicious and fresh. Everything was still bloody perfect. Wifey has gluten intolerance and they accommodate well to that!

It still amazes me how larger eateries cannot imagine let alone execute a fantastic smashed burger experience. I'm pleased to say Total Cow is the antithesis to these pretenders. Outstanding produce, locally sourced and cooked to perfection. I had the total cow double, bacon jam, truffle mayo, with extra bacon and pickles. It was the destroyer of other burgers and gets 5 stars Thanks to Santo for a warm welcome and beautifully cooked food. This is worth a diversion.

Honestly one of the best burgers I've had. Tiny shop with limited seats but I understand they are adding more seating. I had a Total Cow burger and Beef Dripping Chips and they were sooooo good . Very friendly staff too.

We received knowledgeable, helpful and friendly customer service when purchasing a water feature here and we received a very reasonable price for it. We also brought some pots and plants but we are thrilled with the water feature and we will definitely be back. Really nice garden centre to potter around and a nice cafe too.

What a find! Not only the most amazing loaded hot chocolates for us humans, But so well catered for our 4 legged friends. Fabulous array of cakes and snacks. Service was kind and friendly and Freddie had a huge fuss made over him. Highly recommend.

I don't think it was possible to have a better experience than that which Julie delivered. We booked her to provide coffee's for our wedding reception and she was absolutely fantastic. She arrived on time with her trailer, and got herself set up and ready to go in loads of time. Everyone absolutely loved the coffee's and hot chocolates she was provided, especially as she was putting a nice glug of baileys in them if you asked for it! She was friendly, chatty and everyone was raving about her. She went above and beyond and I really can't recommend her enough. Absolutely 5 star service! Thank you so much!
