My family and I chose to visit this place after reading the reviews, and we were not disappointed! It had a cozy atmosphere, and the food was outstanding. We enjoyed a delightful cheese selection, which was very nice. The kids savored their waffles, and I must say, the sandwich was incredibly tasty, packed with plenty of fillings. The service was also very friendly!
We had a lovely Mother's Day tea here today. Andrea is so friendly and remembered me from a previous visit. The whole staff was kind and polite. The food was delicious, I especially loved the cheese and relish sandwich and the red velvet cake. It was a wonderful meal, and we'll definitely be back.
Andrea and her team helped create the most amazing themed Harry Potter special birthday party for my 74 people! From our initial chat on what I was hoping to achieve to the actual day turned to reality last weekend! The attention to detail on set up, tables, decorations and the most amazing themed cocktails and food set the scene when my guests started to arrive through to the end of the night! Nothing was left unturned! During the preparation time in the lead up to the party Andrea was keeping me updated and making suggestions of some things I hadn’t considered which was great. The afternoon tea was to die for! Andrea recommended the local jazz band and they were just brilliant and fish and chips from the local fish and chip shop later on into the evening hit the spot from my guests! It really was a great idea from Andrea. The team on the day were spot on with everything and got into the magical spirit dressing up! Very attentive, polite and hard working. Thank you Andrea, Neil and all your team for making my special birthday unique special and something everyone will remember for a long time to come!
We really enjoyed our time at The Queen of Herts for my mums 50th Birthday party ! The function room is themed so beautifully and set a lovely atmosphere. Zoe is such a ray of sunshine and her service and kindness made the visit that much more enjoyable. Would recommend for parties and get togethers!
Cute tea shop with quirky fun décor (think tea cups hanging from chandeliers.) Scones were served warm and were delicious. The team also accommodated our request for no sandwiches with fish which was kind of them. I would have knocked half a star off for service, but that wasn't possible. This was because we did have to request milk for our tea (this may be slightly harsh as they were busy). I also did feel there was a discrepancy with our bill and what was communicated at the point of booking but the matter was swiftly and fairly resolved over email.
