Really nice place. Great value. Main breakfasts come with a tea or coffee. Almost too many options if anything. The Irish lady that served us was really polite and chatty. Will definitely be back when next in the area.

Visiting my mum and she recommended going here for a late breakfast. Quite tight from a tables and seating perspective but the food was excellent and service was friendly and quick. I had the Helens Hearty Breakfast and my mum the Scrambled sunrise. Portions were very generous, did not scrimp on the mushrooms 😋. We had coffees as well, and what a nice touch, I was asked if I wanted hot or cold milk with my Americano 👍 and all this for £17.50 for the two of us.

Superb, huge breakfast. I was on my way to a meeting, was early so went for breakfast. I just happened to notice this unpretentious cafe at a time I wanted food and warmth. Food was well cooked and there was a lot of it.

We enjoyed a delicious Sunday roast here, including a very good vegetarian cauliflower cheese tart. We loved the quaint low ceilings and comfortable chairs and the staff were friendly and attentive. Thank you!

Great food at a reasonable price. Loved the Halloumi chips, Goats Cheese Terrine with roast vegetables and the Filo parcel of cream cheese and hand cut chips with skins on . Also enjoyed the Lemon cheese cake presented as in a Michelin star restaurant. The individual Apple pie with sultanas and custard was large and tasty. Recommend the Guest Ale. Partner had a Wine Spritzer. Total. Bill £40 was good value. 15 February 2022 Visited again. I had a fantastic Beef Burger. Delicious burger thick quality tasty meat made on site . Great potato wedges with skin on. As it was Tuesday burger was half price. It is great value even at full price. My friend had Lamb Kofta Kebab, Tzatziki, Pitta & Salad. This was a small plate - this is more than enough for a full meal at just £6.95 and absolutely delicious. 29th March Back for a light meal. We loved the Halloumi chips with Salsa as a snack - salsa the best I have eaten. small plates of yummy Goats cheese with rocket and molasses and I had Mac and lobster cheese and homemade mini loaf . Finished if we each had really freshing kiwi, mango Eton Mess with passion fruit coulis and cream. 8th October 2024 The kitchen opens at 5pm so we popped in for a quick early meal. It was half price burgers on Monday and Tuesday We both chose a Lamb and Tzatziki burger. Delicious large homemade and great soft bun and generous skin on chips. I upgraded to Halloumi chips. Finished off with a lemon pannacotta tart with winter berry compote and excellent coffee. This is such a lovely community pub. I was amazed to find that whilst the publican family take a break locals including the Vicar are standing in as bar persons and a mobile street food and on some nights a mobile pizza van will be serving food.

Probably the cleanest toilets I've ever experienced in a pub. Friendly staff. Great drink selection. Beautiful, quirky, characterful interior. Lovely food of ample portions. Especially loved the brownie and ice cream.

Went for lunch today with my daughters and had an excellent experience. Between us we had a pizza, pasta and a salad dish, all were really tasty and just the right portion sizes. The service was as always lovely. Reasonably priced with drinks at about £31

Lovely Brunch, amazing Pizza 🍕 tje coffee is amazing too. I had the Mocha omg best Mocha ever. Service was spotless, is my Forst time in Hertford, and I find tjis gem just walking around amd I don't regret.

Cute authentic Italian cafe. Nice range of options for food although not much vegan items at all. Coffee was really nice with milk alternatives available for 30p extra. Service was friendly and a lot of seating. Chicken pollo milanese panini was a bit plain and dry however was good value (£5.95) and filling. Also came with a mini side of salted crisps.

Best coffee break in Hertford and really friendly staff too! Just ordered an almond croissant… Being French I am usually difficult to please with pastries but this was a lovely surprise. As good as you get in Paris!!! The almond brownies and the carrot cake are pretty special too!!!

Saw the inviting treats in the window and the VG on some of the labels, so went in to confirm if it meant vegan, which I was happy to learn it did. Ordered the cinnamon whirl and blueberry bakewell. The cinnamon whirl was really tasty and filling and my friend really enjoyed the bakewell slice. Will definitely visit again if we return to the area.

Stopped in here for a quick lunch. Good selection of sandwiches and pastries. Particularly enjoyed the pesto and mozzarella focaccia sandwich. Not too busy on a Saturday lunchtime which was great

What a great restaurant! Felt like i was sitting at the beach. The Yogurtlu lamb shish was amazing. The lamb was so soft it just melted in my mouth. We got bread and hummus when we sat down as well. Great service and vibe. I love that they allow dogs too❤️

Great place. Had a really good value meal here on Sunday. Two course for not very much. Starters we had the caper salad and terrine. Both plates licked clean. They had run out of sole so I went for the steak which was immense. Fishcake equally good. Desserts were also high quality. Would definitely recommend this place. Decors nice, staff friendly and food delicious. Would go again. I’m closer to Hitchin so want to try that one next.

Attended with work party and had the ham hock to start, a perfectly cooked steak (and chips) as main and a chocolate mousse to finish. The food was fantastic and could tell they care about the food they cook. Staff were amazing and could not be more attentive and friendly. Always on hand to grab drinks and assist with anything needed. The restaurant itself was a great atmosphere and looked great. And was in a perfectly central location.

Excellent bacon baguette! Nicely toasted and big!! I needed a second cup of tea to help it go down. This is the first time in this cafe which was very clean and tidy. Very polite staff and great service. Good prices though I did use cash as 'No cards' policy was active. I'm definitely going back again!

Great place in a quaint part of Hertford if you want something light to eat or refreshments. Good food, great chef, and the blonde lady who served us is a superstar. Also that Kale Kicker smoothie was delicious! ♥️

Visited June 2023: Cheap and cheerful cafe serving a variety of breakfast, brunch and lunch options. There is limited outdoor and indoor seating but well worth the visit when you get space. The prices are good and the portion sizes are very good too. Wheelchair accessible outside.

Went for their amazing hot chocolates and they did not disappoint! It was delicious and thick. The lovely barista gave me advice on whether to add milk or not. Lovely atmosphere and great interior. Very busy so you may struggle to get a seat as it’s clearly popular. Lovely place and have already been back for their delicious Italian hot chocolate.

Spent a glorious afternoon yesterday sitting outside the Brew Garden . All the staff were extremely friendly and very helpful with chooses of food and drinks Ivan made some amazing cocktails which made the afternoon even better. Will return again. Thanks .

Lovely staff, great food! Service can be a little slow when they are busy but everything is freshly cooked to order so really can’t complain. Very accommodating and friendly staff, food has never been a disappointment (except they stopped doing charcoal sourdough!) always tasty and fresh. Can get a bit pricey if you get stuck into the cocktails!! Will be back again & again…!

That was hands down the best banoffee bread🤤 I’ve ever had! I don’t usually go for sweet breakfasts, but this was absolutely incredible. The staff were also so lovely and helpful, which made the whole experience even better. Will definitely be coming back!❤️

We had the best breakfast in town! Full English and avocado toast. The coffees were delicious. We even treated ourselves to the gluten free homemade banana cake. The service was excellent. Very attentive staff, the French lady was very nice , we even practiced our French ! Thank you Peach , we will definitely come back.
