The Best Cafes in Southwell, Dorset, United Kingdom (2025)

Went there as part of a new trail race and a great location. The pool is still blue all year so never disappointed, but obviously better when weather is clear. Great walks around. Good cafe. Well family priced.

Lovely place for a day out. Walks were clear and easy to stroll. The rope bridge was great fun. The views across the pool are stunning in a number of viewpoints. I guess when the azaleas are flowering it is absolutely beautiful. There's a nice cafe and lovely gift shop. I only wish we had visited before but will be back again before long

Beautiful place to go for a stroll with much of the area covered by a forest canopy. Lovely little café which was reasonably priced with an amazing outlook onto the lake. Took a pram with my newborn with a fairly accessible route around the Blue Poole. Many of the other trails have steps to access so will use a baby carrier next time.

My husband and I always take our friends and family here when they visit as they provide such amazing food and a beautiful atmosphere. Being gluten free is hard and finding good food that tastes amazing can be difficult but All Mine Cakes provide stunning food and the cakes are to die for!!! ❤️

Cafe has a very nice location. It is an elegant and cosy place. The cakes are really first class. Carrot cake I had was delicious, coffee very good. The very good quality of the dishes doesn't justify so high prices, especially that the portions tend to be small.

We just love this place, we are regulars. The food and service is great. My wife is Celiac, and as everything is GF, she doesn’t have to second-guess the menu. What makes her happy, makes me happy.

Lovely location, brilliant service and great quality food. Nice and clean throughout. Too much choice made choosing tricky. However for a group of five we all managed, and everyone was more than happy with their dishes. Good car parking space with seating outside. Some undercover. Customers with dogs were sitting outside, I didn't see any sitting inside, so not clear on the policy for dogs inside. All our food was gluten free! Yorkshire tea in a good size tea pot and good. Overall a fab place for lunch. One of the best I've been to.

Nice food👍🏻 We ordered all day breakfast and Pate, which were good , and the pumpkin spiced latte was very nice! The apple pie we took away was delicious, not too sweet and still can taste the hint of sour from the apple.

The shop's always worth a look for gifts. Really nice selection of locally themed items. Everything nice quality. Staffed largely by volunteers. Always friendly service. Definitely drop in if you're visiting the town.
