“Fabulous! One of the best coffee stops for cyclists in this corner of Dorset. We're always made very welcome. Great service, great coffee and a lovely selection of food. Great coffee and pastries. A lovely friendly atmosphere, I keep meaning to visit when I'm not on a bike.”

“Just visited for the farm and the maize maze. The animals were so cute and very friendly especially the sheep ( often sheep run away whereas these run towards you and loved being petted). Very cute and affordable afternoon we had. Will definitely come again.”

“Yalbury Cottage is a place where excellence, friendliness, and quality come together seamlessly. As someone who loves travelling and exploring new cities and places, I have stayed in numerous accommodations, but none compare to Yalbury Cottage. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and look forward to returning to the area. The staff at Yalbury Cottage consistently went out of their way to be friendly and did everything possible to ensure our stay was exceptional. The room exceeded my expectations significantly, with its stunning and unique view. We truly felt as if we were at home, but in a setting with beautiful new scenery. Situated in Dorchester, Yalbury Cottage offers a perfect base to explore the area and nearby cities such as Weymouth. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, have recommended this place to others, and will continue to do so. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and everything was spotlessly and well-organised. Additionally, the thoughtful touch of leaving brownies in our room upon arrival exemplifies their dedication to Yalbury Cottage and their commitment to providing each guest with an exceptional experience. I personally can't wait to return to this charming cottage for another uniquely wonderful stay.”

“We stopped off here for breakfast at the end of a weekend away as we’d heard from our hosts that they did good food and were dog friendly. The food was delicious and great value. The staff were really friendly and welcoming and we managed to pick up a couple of early Xmas presents for hampers as a bonus! Would highly recommend.”

“We had noticed posts appear on Facebook from the Old School Gallery, but had never been to Yetminster before and were curious to find out more. From the moment we opened the door, we were warmly greeted by Alex and the team, as well as other diners and were made to feel very much at home. The lunch menu was superb, with an extensive list of tempting hearty and unusual soups, quiches etc. I opted for the falafel curry with rice which was delicious. Throughout the meal, Alex, her Mum and Team were very attentive and the atmosphere of the Old School Gallery was incredible. I was tempted to a piece of flapjack - no ordinary flapjack and highly recommended. What an incredible find! We need to return very soon and wish all at the Old School Gallery the very best as they really deserve it.”

“An amazing maize, maze one of the best around. What a pity it's the final maze this year. A wonderful attraction for all the family with all the usual facilities including a superb little cafe. Play area for younger children and very reasonably priced. Staff extremely friendly and helpful adding to the experience. The maze is open all summer until early September so get in there quickly for a brilliant day out!”

“First visit to the restaurant. I was very impressed with our server, who suggested we could move to the adjacent barn where it would be leas noisy. He was right. It was😎. Food quality was excellent. Also, I was very impressed with the general cleanliness. Toilets were immaculate. I would definitely recommend this place. 👍”

“Literally had the best afternoon tea I’ve ever eaten this weekend and I’ve eaten lots over the years, which is why I felt so compelled to write a review to spread the word! I’ve been coming here for years and it just gets better and better. The food is always incredible and super fresh, there’s always lots of specials and the menu choice offers something for everyone. The staff and atmosphere really do make this place extra special, you feel very welcomed and an added bonus they absolutely love dogs. We are so lucky to have such a superb spot like this in Dorset.”
