“Fabulous! One of the best coffee stops for cyclists in this corner of Dorset. We're always made very welcome. Great service, great coffee and a lovely selection of food. Great coffee and pastries. A lovely friendly atmosphere, I keep meaning to visit when I'm not on a bike.”

“Came here with my sisters hen do, enjoyed it so much I had to show it to my partner. I love the atmosphere here, the servers are so kind and friendly you feel right at home. The drinks are delicious! I'm lucky I got to try quite a few with the group. The food is absolutely delicious 🤤 and I am quite a picky eater but I loved it all. Over all I would recommend to anyone and will be coming back in future.”

“Lovely food and host/wait team! We went for the special barbecue lunch and it was lovely as well as great value. My only comment would be that I'd have loved it if the food had been brought in piping hot but it was delicious nonetheless. Definitely revisiting to try other things on their menu.”

“Waiting for the car to get new tyres fitted at National Tyre (a Halfords Company.....) I stumbled upon this lovely little cafe and all of its quirky contents - staff included. A lovely Americano and a rich, crumbly and packed sausage roll proving to be just the restorative I didn't know I needed - even if it was proffered by the waitress to everyone before finding its way to its rightful consumer... hilarious, as I watched it unfold, and no grudge at all, it should probably write its own travel memoir).”

“Absolutely fantastic, food was great, as was the atmosphere, staff were friendly and chill, games were easy to find. Couldn't fault much except maybe the tables themselves being a little wonky with the panels but that's barely an issue 10/10 will eat here again sometime”

“Really excellent. As someone who also owns a small independent cafe, Potters is one of the best I have visited. Lovely food( club sandwich) almost too much to finish, and I’m a big eater. Very attentive staff, and extremely good value for money. All round an excellent little cafe.”

“I love this little place that has a larger personality especially around the holidays, nice food, nice helpful staff, and full of friendlyness. It gets bigger and louder during the holidays and summer months when it opens the play area and the maize maze. Lovely for families and children. I have to say it pleases my heart to see this place set up for children's outside play, they certainly keep you on your toes, even when you are not part of that group or party, it has a little downside life everywhere when is busy hearing can be an issue even when sat face to face, so if you're expecting a wee cuppa or coffee or lunch in peace or relative quite here, you honestly won't know until you get there. It's just lovely hearing the children and youths being a play outside and not attached to their phones or computers.”

“Stayed here for just the 1 night but my word the historical appearance has been left as alone as its 400yrs old in 2035!!! Firstly the Suite room was absolutely massive with a 4 poster bed ,separate lounge with everything on tv including Netflix and Amazon and an actual BATH considering everywhere is showers nowadays!! Absolutely Lovely chatty lady/owner was amazingly friendly and told us about the history of the building etc and the 17th century tunnels which are still there which she uses as a storeroom downstairs. Shockingly quiet at night as the flat/room we had was at the rear of the property. Well worth the money but the website we used (booking.com) doesn't give refunds as we had to cancel prior to staying but we rebooked soon after. Only thing I'll point out is if you're unsteady walking around, take care as the building is old the floors are uneven and has a big step into the bedroom and 2 separate steps in the bathroom but otherwise it was lovely and we're definitely going to stay again soon!! Unfortunately there isn't any parking available but there's a "top o town" car park literally 2 minutes walking distance away from the front door!! Small restaurant at the entrance, as you'd expect from such an old building was lovely and the full English breakfast was perfectly cooked too ,but there's also fruit, cereal AND croissants on your table If you don't want hot breakfast If I could give it 6/5 I would!! Would definitely recommend!!! Anazing historical place!!”
