UPDATE: Since I wrote the review below, Board Cafe have started doing food, and it is excellent. The sourdough pizzas are among the best we've had anywhere. You're here for the games, and they have a super selection of quality games in very good condition. You want to be guided in how to play new ones, and the staff are genuine enthusiasts and generous in the help they offer. You'll sustain yourself with decent drinks at a good price, and they've got that covered - the coffee is barista quality, and friends who like that sort of thing said they love the milkshakes. There are alcoholic treats, too ... perhaps for customers who aren't as competitive as us! They are building a kitchen upstairs to do food in future, and in the meantime they have been inventive with the cake selection and snack menu. We got the "three bowls for £5" offer this time - sour jelly sweets, chocolate buttons and Doritos, which helps create a party atmosphere. We've been here with a group of 10, twice in a group of 4 and today as a couple, and each time we've had a great experience (see picture of Wingspan, a lovely game based on the idea of building a bird reserve). Book your table in advance - this is a very popular place.

Great experience learning some new games with the staff speeding up the process by explaining the basic rules to us. Incredibly delicious pizzas - classic options like pepperoni and BBQ chicken and other more unique ones such as Mediterranean and spinach and mushroom. Booking is a must as it's a very popular venue and 3 hours is recommended as the time flies!!

The best place to go for a lovely morning of board games, coffee and cake. All of the games are in great condition, such helpful staff who explained all the rules and beautifully decorated. The drinks and cakes were also delicious. Will definitely be back!

Well we didn't believe there was a coffee stop here but low and below there is. What a great excuse to have a walk in that direction just so you can have a great cup of coffee and a hot chocolate, a friendly service and a nice stop all set in a rural location.. 🙂👍

Tasty coffee beans! Making some wonderful V60 pourover coffee with the Columbian roast. They offer whole bean or ground, with decaf options (bought the sumatra decaf for my parents). The water in this area seems to make a great cup as well.

Absolutely fantastic coffee! Always fresh roasted and packed with flavour, with a great selection. Nicaraguan is amazing. Packed well and delivered quickly, Reads is the only place we’ll buy from in future.

I'm not a fan of coffee snobbery, or bitter tasting Coffee. Thankfully Reads is neither! Super smooth brew, with welcoming and warm staff! Thanks team! See you soon for another morning 'pick me up'!

Lovely! The service was wonderful and the food the was great. I ordered a breakfast burrito and a latte. Decent price too not too expensive.

We chanced upon this cafe by accident and had coffee and sausage roll and at age 70 I have never had such a tasty sausage roll. The coffee was great

Just had another fabulous breakfast with my husband. Salmon and scrambled eggs were superb! Staff friendly and welcoming as always, making a point of chatting to every customer...... even the teenage lad serving today. We'll definitely visit again. If you're ever in the vicinity you must give them a try.... but be prepared to wait for a table.

Found by chance when perusing the menu of a more expensive establishment. Inside was too busy for nine of us but in the small yet quaint courtyard we managed to shuffle a few tables together to accommodate our needs. The food was delicious and reasonably priced... the pot of tea was enormous and required a strong arm to lift and pour! The staff were very friendly especially one gentleman in particular who instigated much banter. Would definitely visit again... highly recommended.

On a recent trip to Bridport we were introduced to the Green Yard. Great coffee, fabulous food (generous portions) and wonderful friendly service. We went back 3 times! Highly recommended!

Discovered this place for the first time and treated myself for my birthday. Avocado Bruschetta with Superfood Hot Chocolate was amazing. Also ordered salad to take with me. Everything fresh, made to order and so tasty. I cannot recommend this place enough and definitely will come back again... And again ... And again xx

I’ve been meaning to leave this review for months. We’re regulars here because it’s fresh quality food served by lovely people. When we moved back to the UK from California we were pretty down on the healthy food options locally, but then we found Healthy Habits. So glad to have this on our doorstep and will keep coming back for the food, superb coffee and top notch service.

Potters cafe is easy to miss, tucked down a side street off the main drag, but it's a bit of a hidden gem. There is seating upstairs as well as a beautiful garden. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and prompt with serving. Their is a selection of regular lunch time options as well as cooked breakfasts and a ever changing specials board. The food is always excellent quality and large portions. I ordered the batters cod with chips and salad (see photo). The fish was good, fresh and the batter was wonderful, chips were pretty good too however could have done with a few seconds less in the frier. Prices are on the more expensive side however I think the food warrants it. Over all great place for lunch after working up and appetite shopping.

Really excellent. As someone who also owns a small independent cafe, Potters is one of the best I have visited. Lovely food( club sandwich) almost too much to finish, and I’m a big eater. Very attentive staff, and extremely good value for money. All round an excellent little cafe.

We only popped in for a drink but the staff were lovely and the service was very good.

We had the Halloumi Wrap and the Roasted Veg. Hummus Avocado Baguette. Both were delicious. Nice setting and a large menu generally with some more vegan options such as the Butternut Squash Soup. Good pricing too and service.

Amazing food, highly recommend the halloumi wrap or the quiche. Friendly staff although service was a little slow, however it was busy so to be expected to an extent. Great value for money on food and drink choices and lovely cosy atmosphere. Recommend a visit for an authentic Dorset countryside experience

An incredible hidden gem! Staff were so helpful and friendly. Having a large booking they rang the day before to confirm brought over extra chairs when required as well. The food was incredible the portions don’t look big but I left so full and having had the best time! The dishes were so aesthetically pleasing to the eye and had one of the best afternoon teas I’ve had. Only criticism is for the scones more jam and cream required on the afternoon teas but it was still delicious nonetheless.

First visit... Absolutely won't be the last! Staff are incredibly accommodating and friendly ! The coffee made very well and tastes unreal.... Perfect flat white The food was cooked very very well and being nice chef I can confirm this is well cooked . We had the big breakfast an was very satisfied an was cooked with love an soul ! Very nice layout of the tables and also a lot of seating area, I don’t think this place will ever be fully full! Garden area is quite large however is surrounded by buildings. Service was fast and food came quick, pancakes were very tasty and ciabatta was nice however a few more crisps and salad would’ve been nice. Staff were kind and showed us a table and welcomed us nicely. Went during eat out to help out and was nice and cheap.

A wonderful café. Unpretentious, welcoming, great service and a fantastic menu at really good prices. Plenty that you’d find on the menu of an English café along with some superb Turkish meals too. We were so pleased to find this place.

5* Food, service and great portion sizes. If you are sick of Fish and chips This is the place for you. Lady was very helpful, accommodating and friendly. Will definitely visit again.

Lovely food and well priced. Had the all day breakfast (comes with 2 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 sausages, beans, toast and a choice of tea or coffee) only cost me £9.90 and the staff were friendly and service was prompt!

Fantastic Cafe! Friendly service with a great menu mixing British Cafe classics with a some Turkish dishes to add variety. All perfectly cooked - the chips were a thing of beauty, crispy/crunchy and golden and fluffy inside! Thoroughly recommended and we went out of our way to visit again on our last day.

What an excellent find! This cafe is clean, modern and comfortable and serves great quality delicious snacks and drinks. I had a mouthwatering panini and was served in a very friendly manner. The coffee was great too. Highly recommend a visit. I will definitely be back.
