The Yard
16 Dews Rd, Salisbury SP2 7SN, UK
Phone: 01722 414411
“In The Yard we found what we were looking for... a very comfortable, introvert-friendly quiet coffee shop that could offer us a good coffee and a dessert that's not overly sugary, but absolutely full of love and sweetness. The familiar atmosphere of the clean and spacious place is amazing and modest, we really appreciated the silence and energy, uncontaminated by mainstream loud pop music or rude strangers. The service was more than perfect, we felt respected and free to cut our own private space inside. I highly recommend this place for calm people that want to relax after lunch, alone or with their own beloved people, just drinking a hot drink with something sweet or spending more time reading or working remotely for a few minutes. If we'll come back to Salisbury, we'll definitely come back here.”

“Cute, dainty restaurant/cafe with the most lovely staff and an excellent menu! The cakes look amazing although I was too full to eat at the time, I picked some up for later in the day and am very much looking forward to eating them. The huevos rancheros was really good, I would recommend if you like mexican food.”

Cuckoos Coffee Bar

“Well, this was a surprise and a pleasant one to boot. This is a golden nugget in Christchurch. The tea we had was very good and the cake my wife had was lovely. Everywhere else we tried had teeny tiny tray bake cakes "one bite and it is gone" but Cuckoo's have proper cake slices. And I found it very good value for money.”

“Fantastic local cafe with super friendly and attentive staff, delicious food and a chilled yet vibrant atmosphere that you feel welcome in instantly. On a Sunday morning you may have to wait for a table as they are super busy but it’s worth the wait. My husband and I both went for the Full English, the produce was of great quality with full flavour, cook very well and served with a smile, you can’t go wrong. We will be back for the pancakes next!”

“We wanted a little drive out, so we decided to go to this garden centre from Poole ( about 25 miles ) as we wanted somewhere we could also take the dog, when we got thier the staff was very kind and friendly as it was late afternoon about 3pm we decided on a late lunch/ dinner so I had the ham egg and chips and the other person with me only had a coronation chicken sandwich and she wanted room for Dorset apple cake unfortunately when she checked they had sold out but wasn't surprised as I like I said it was late afternoon, so she decided she would have a scone with cream and jam and I must say the food was delicious and all responsible priced, we both also had a coke We also visited the pet shop within the ground it's small but very compact and has most things. you would need for your pets . The dog got a few presents as it was his birthday and had a doggy ice cream. We didn't really have time to have a good look round the garden centre but we did have a look at a few prices on things that were around us like hanging baskets and they were very full at only £24.99 to me that seamed cheap so next time we need some flowers etc we be going to go back here again. Overall the staff were very friendly the cost was responsible and we even had people that lived thier talking to us so a very pleasant afternoon and we'll worth a drive out if you want somewhere different We will definitely be back”
